There is a misconception in that people pronounce Soyumi as "so yummy" but after tasting the food, I think it should be pronounced "soy umi". (Umi in Japanese means sea or ocean) because they douse all their seafood in soy sauce or teriyaki so much, it kills the flavor of what you're eating. Not a terrible place but not as good as you hope it will be.

I've been eating at the subway in brooklet since they opened. It used to be a lot better back then…read more The sandwiches are still pretty decent. My only problem is the owner of the store. You should know that you have a problem when your cookies come out of the oven and they're overdone. But the owner obviously doesn't care. I was told by an employee that if they deviate from the instructions of how they bake the cookies, that they could be fired. Who likes cookies that you can barely chew? Maybe the owner does. I definitely won't be buying anymore cookies from subway in brooklet. Maybe if you could treat the people you hire, which by the way, are mostly just good kids. Then maybe they will stay with you longer. Given your track record, I doubt it. You sir, are a real piece of work!

Funny enough, as soon as the refund was being processed, we were suddenly told our food was "almost ready." What made the experience even worse was the customer service. The cashier, Kimora, was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of apologizing or trying to help, she told me it wasn't her problem because they were understaffed and out of almost everything. Being understaffed is not the customer's fault, and it certainly isn't an excuse to be disrespectful. If your restaurant is that far behind and out of products, customers should be informed before ordering, not after they've spent over an hour waiting. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had, and I won't be returning.
