Chicken pita
Serena C.

Been meaning to try Zaza. Every time we went to the Green Enchilada, we would walk by the restaurant. So we decided to try it today. We ordered to share: French Fries. Hubby ordered Chicken Pita meal and I ordered Beef kebab meal. To drink, we each ordered, Turkish coffee (strong and bitter), Turkish Tea (light) and coke. My favorite part was the rice and salad, well aside from the beef. Beef was tasty. Honey's chicken was ok. Not too dry. But it would be less dry if they had some sauce. Like me, he loved the rice. We would definitely go back especially since the service was awesome.

Clockwise: Gyro Greek Salad, home made bread, and Lamb Kebab (Highly Recommended)

Zaza Grill is scrumptiously delicious! From the front of the house to the waiter the service was by one person who did a phenomenal job tonight 7/29/25. He was so friendly and his hospitality was the most considerate I have experienced in the restaurant business. We ordered Gyro Salad, Lamb Kebab and Dolma appetizer. The salad, rice and hummus on the lamb kebab plate was delicious, best I have had. Gyros on the salad were very salty. It's only preference. If you like more salt, this would be perfect. Ambiance was homey and comforting.

*** 3.5 stars *** Visited over the 4th of July weekend and I'm going to have to agree with Cherylynn N's review from 9 months ago. Doesn't seem much has changed as far as salt level and under seasoned hummus. Party of 9 and staff very welcoming but otherwise, very basic service. Food was decent but living in the East Bay, there's a plethora of Middle Eastern food that I prefer as items are seasoned better and delivered hot. :: Lamb/beef gyro wrap - most the table said they enjoyed with no leftovers :: Chicken Kebab Plate - 3.5 stars - dry pieces and sister said the rice was salty :: Kofte Kebab - 4pcs - 3 stars - salty, room temperature food. Hummus was eh and not flavorful with the highlight of the dish being the salad. I basically ate 1 kofte and boxed the rest. :: Combo gyro plate - cousin devoured but it didn't look appetizing and looked dry. :: Complimentary Turkish pide bread - cut into 2 inch pieces - fresh and fluffy :: Complimentary dessert: Kazandibi - caramelized milk with pistachio had a great flavor but texture was very firm. I was expecting more custard-like texture but it was more dense. Zaza Grill is a small spot with traditional music playing. Overall, seems like the gyro wraps are the way to go as everyone enjoyed them. Appreciate the complimentary dessert! "Pacifica Cousin" footed the bill - nice surprise and treat. Average price/person with t/t: $24 without drinks Located in a strip mall with plenty of lot parking.

Zara Grill serves delicious Mediterranean food. I have never been disappointed. The service is friendly & attentive. Try the appetizer sampler! It is delicious.

The lamb kebab was awesome! The people and experience was great!! I will be coming here more often.

Zaza Mix Grill

I ordered the Zaza Mix Grill and it was absolutely inedible. The meat smelled rotten -- like it was completely spoiled and not fresh at all. I could not eat a single bite. This was a disgusting experience and a total waste of $27. I strongly warn everyone: do NOT order from this restaurant. If I had known about the food quality before, I would have never placed this order.

Incredible restaurant with super delicious healthy food, great service and affordable prices. Definitely a place to come back to. Cute interior. Super delicious tea.

Such a lovely place with delicious food and even better service! Everything was yummy, and you can definitely tell they care about their plating. Our server (maybe the owner) was so friendly and kind to us, and even offered us Turkish tea on the house! Very nice interior and music. We enjoyed the experience eating here and would definitely come back!

3.5 STARS When it's hot AF in the bay, where do you find reprieve? Daly City or Pacifica. After coming from 100+ weather in the South Bay, feeling the cool breeze while exiting the car was the best feeling ever. It's like flinging your bra off at the end of the day. Ladies, you know what's up! Zaza Grill opened in January 2024 taking over Redeye Grill (Turkish). Open for takeout, delivery, indoor dining, and dog-friendly outdoor dining. Fast-casual - order, pay, and seat yourself. I saw staff take orders from some seated diners so that was confusing. M E N U Mediterranean and Turkish fare. Halal meats. No alkie. F O O D * Complimentary Pide Dry and stale. I wish they had warmed it up to give it a second life. But, hey it was free. * Adana Kebab Wrap ($14.95) // 3 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/bdz5869t I really enjoyed the adana kebab from Redeye Grill so wanted to give this a try for comparison. The adana kebab (ground lamb?) was on the drier side and very salty. I think pickles and onions would have made the wrap less plain. The accompanying tzatziki/cacik (yogurt sauce) was watery so the house chili sauce really help give a boost of flavor and kick. * Zaza Mix Grill: Beef+lamb gyro, beef kebab, chicken gyro, chicken kebab, kofte, hummus, salad, rice ($28.95) // 3.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/46deakmc Not my order but I sampled a bit from it. - Beef + Lamb Gyro: Tender and moist with some fatty pieces - Beef Kebab (requested medium rare): Well done and tough - Chicken gyro, chicken kebab, kofte: Didn't try - Hummus: IMO, needed more tahini, lemon, and garlic to mellow the overpowering beany flavor - Rice: Dry and tepid * Fries ($6.95) // 4 Stars I'm used to Mediterranean/Turkish places serving thicker fries and/or fresh hand cut fries but can't miss with hot and crunchy shoestring fries. A M B I A N C E Interesting vibe for a casual Turkish resto with a neon IG sign, faux grass walls, and pink-purple-ivory wisteria flowers. Tight indoor dining area with 7-8 tables and 4 tables outside. S E R V I C E Polite service. They were busy so food took awhile (30+ minutes). P A R K I N G Plentiful parking in the plaza. Overall, ok Turkish fare (off day?) but I would give Zaza Grill another try if I'm in Pacifica again. 3.5 Stars rounded up for a local small business.

This is such a gem in South City -- it's the perfect meet up spot for lunch, happy hour, or dinner…read more Recently had lunch here and the food, service, and ambiance were all lit. Let's start with the service. Our server was incredibly attentive from the moment we walked in. We were handed menus and then asked if we preferred still or sparkling waters - we opted for the latter. Next, he politely made some recommendations to the more popular items on the lunch menu. We went with his suggestions and he did not disappoint! For two people, we shared the following two items: * MEZZE PLATTER - hummus, babaghanouge, falafel, tabbouleh, and pita ($19) * BEET SALAD - roasted heirloom beets, carrots, goat cheese, honey thyme vinaigrette ($18) For our entrees, we had the following: * BEEF SHAWARMA WRAP - lettuce, sumac onion, pickles, tahini sauce, mixed greens ($19) * ROASTED SALMON - pacific salmon, turmeric rice, grilled broccolini ($29) Food was absolutely incredible. Fresh ingredients, simple preparation, Mediterranean fusion, and assembled thoughtfully without compromising nutrition. I am a fan. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an inviting style for large groups, intimate fireside chats, or bar seating. They even have a pretty neat happy hour menu that I hope to check out one day. All in all, this is a top fav in South City. Looking forward to a future dining experience here!

Our work group comes here for events often, so I've tried a lot of dishes here. The mezze platter is delicious, the falafel is okay, but everything else on the mezze platter such as the babaghanouge, tabbouleh, hummus, and pita are 5/5 stars. Other wins are the prawn pasta and the branzino. One of my favorite restaurants in downtown SSF.

I love the contrast of hot and cold, as well as crisp textures with bold flavors. I ordered the beef and lamb plate, and it was outstanding, the meat was tender and packed with flavor. The salad was refreshing, and the hummus was creamy with a rich, nutty taste. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. My friends ordered the same, one with pita and one as a wrap. The plate and wrap portions were generous, though the pita felt a bit on the smaller side. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting, and the staff is friendly. I'll definitely be coming back! :)

Delicious! I just dropped my mom at SFO and was trying to find a place to grab some takeout…read more I checked Reddit yesterday and there was a couple mentions of Lotus. There were some other places that I wanted to try more but they were closed for Christmas Eve. Not a lot of parking but I found one right in front of the store. Have to pay, didn't know that, thankfully i got out within 10 minutes before I got a ticket. I ordered a combo plate since I didn't really know what to get. I didn't get to eat it until 2 hours later and I had to microwave it, still very flavorful! The rice has a good amount of salt, and all the meats were easy to bite through, not tough at all. My only complaint would be that I feel like it might be better complimented with a sauce. It was my first time so I didn't know if they typically give any sauces. I think I saw some hot sauce on the tables (unless that was ketchup). Very good and would try again!

The meal itself tasted fine at the time, and everything seemed normal while I was eating. However, about an hour or two after leaving, I started experiencing diarrhea. I did not eat anything else today, so the timing makes me very concerned that something I had here didn't sit right. What upset me even more was how this was handled when I called the restaurant to let them know. Instead of showing concern, the woman I spoke with told me that she ate the food herself and was "fine," which came across as dismissive and unwilling to even consider my experience. I understand that not every issue is clear-cut, but a response like that lacks basic customer care. At the very least, I would have expected some empathy or a willingness to look into it.
