I ordered a fried house salad at zaxby's on 3rd St in Winter Haven, Sheraton took the order, TaKayla closed with payment. I only requested no onions, when I got home (5mins later), I found a salad with lump lettuce, no cucumber, no tomato. I called back to zaxby's, spoke to manager (Ted, a lady), she was sooooo rude, told me next time buy a salad from somewhere else. Then, I called Cooperate office to complaint, they told me the a area manager would call me in a couple days with an apology & a coupon. It's been a week. We went to this place because of the advertised salad. We go 2 sensational salad and a BBQ wing dinner. The salads were thrown together. Clumps of Chinese veggies were thrown on top it was so different than the last time. The floors by the counters were sticky the soda area was sticky and needed attention from a staff person. We found a large table that floor was sticky. The top was clean. So we ate at that table. 2 salads could be put together to match the tv ad. And what we had before. The competition would be oriental chicken salad from applebees. I've eaten those salads for 15 years or so. They are so much better than this salad they served us. I pulled into the parking lot when I got lost. I decided to grab a quick bite because I had been on the road for a while and I wasn't sure what options I would have when I got to my destination. First off, I am a fan of Zaxby's. It was my go to chicken joint when I lived in GA. However, this location leaves alot to be desired and I doubt if I will be a repeat customer. The staff was more engaged with personal conversations than doing their job. I asked for well done wings as I don't mind waiting the extra time to cook them thoroughly. I received a barely cooked batch of mostly drums with more blood and veins than I could care for. I prefer flats so I was turned off instantly. This was the worst zaxbys I've ever been to. Started with the wait in line( taking care of drive through before in shop is not good business) took 20 minutes to order. I then waited almost 30 minutes for my cobb salad and 5 boneless wings ( they gave me bone in and i never got the fries that come with the meal). This job is not hard at all, my 3 year old niece knows how to read and cook and she's probably better than these slow sorry employees. I don't see me EVER going to another one. I love Zaxby's, and i love this location. This Zaxby's franchise is right in the middle of everything in Winter Haven, right next to Citi Center. I usually have Zaxby's at least twice a month, it's very appetizing and a good meal every once in a while. It's delicious, and the staff here is very kind and helpful. They always have a very clean restaurant, and I have never had problems at this restaurant. If you have never been, they are a chicken finger restaurant, similar to Guthries and Raising Canes. All of the food is very good, especially the Chicken Finger Plate, with Zax Sauce; the chicken is crispy, the fries are hot, and the sauce is tangy. The restaurant has a lot of seating space, and good music playing. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a better fast food meal. read more

Every time we go here there seems to be a problem. Their employees seem to hate their job and because that I feel like they give horrible service. They never have sides in stock I end up with double fries. Their food is cold 99% of the time. And they seem to not want to include a Zax sauce instead they put 3 ranches when we specifically told them we don't like ranch. Called and the manager wants me to go on a different day to get a refund because his employees can't do their job right. And the drive through girl Ajeleah was extremely RUDE and wanted to charge us twice. I don't recommend this location to anyone. Been to this Zaxby's many times in the past. Nice place to sit and eat. Service is always nice and friendly. My favorites are the club sandwich, the chicken salad sandwich and the fried mushrooms. The fries here are horrible (get a different side). Sweet tea is always pretty good and I love the crushed ice. One complaint... Stop charging me an extra quarter for dipping sauce. read more
