Horrible to wait for half empty food . Quality wasn't good and I thought they use to put the sauce with food

They have messed up my order so many times and it's literally just little stuff but it adds up. I'll ask for no ice, they put ice, I ask for extra seasoning on fries, none extra. I ask for Diet Coke , they give me sweet tea. Like come on guys it's tiny stuff but every time I go something is messed up or wrong. Well, this is pretty close to the original Zaxbys location that was here when I first started as a Freshman back in 1997 at GSU. Back then, it was more of a larger shack. My ties to Zaxbys have run deep since then. I believe this particular location might be newer than the one I frequented my last couple years in college. Either way, we dropped by here during Family Weekend back in October 2022. It was a mad house. So much chaos that I barely took pictures. Our food took a long time, which was expected. No complaints, although I didn't do my norm. I opted for the Zax Chicken Finger sammie meal. I have noticed that Zaxbys has become inconsistent in food quality over the years. Chicken fingers seem to be much smaller in portion sizes these days. But this visit, no real complaints other than the chaos going on. Would recommend stopping in. Be careful when ordering online at this location. My friend and I both got a Big Zax Snack with large fries except I ordered online while my friend ordered at the Drive-Thru. These are our boxes compared side by side. Only a thirty cent difference but I appreciate receiving what I paid for. Not cool Girl at the window was sweet though! read more

Ordered a large drink with my Chicken Finger plate (which was cold). Ice machine was broken. I asked the girl behind the counter to please fill my cup. She refused and told me they couldn't fill my ice cup with ice from the drive thru. Hopefully, Raising Canes will come to Statesboro and put these people out of business. Yes, I know Zaxbys was founded in Statesboro but the company and its employees have gone downhill greatly over the years. Avoid this place at all cost. Starving because I just got off my flight so I forgot to take pics. The staff was friendly. We had to wait a while for our food though.... Which wasn't a problem but what stunk was they got the order wrong despite taking forever. The food was okay, I don't like the seasoning they put on the fries. But the spicy sandwich I got was pretty good while I was eating it. I immediately got sent to the bathroom after I was finished though. not sure if it's because I'm not used to this food or what, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with a 3 star. read more

Possibly the best pest Zaxby's ever. Don't ask me how they can be the first Zaxby's and be so bad consistently, but they are. They overcharge you for stupid stuff then don't do it, I've had "large fries" with no joke 10 fries. The workers are extremely rude, and the quality is the lowest of any Zaxby's. The food here this week has been very inconsistent. I've had everything from barely-cooked toast with too much butter and too much garlic flavor, to well-toasted bread with barely and butter and garlic flavor. The same goes for the chicken items as well (had chicken fingers and boneless wings, 2 different occasions). This location just opened and many of the cooks are new hires, though so I'll chalk it up to that. Still cannot beat the throwback pricing this week. Bad Zaxbys is still better than no Zaxbys, IMO. read more

I've always loved Zaxby's, but on multiple occasions at the Chandler Rd location I have experienced terrible customer service. Eye rolling, huffing and puffing very loudly when I ask if I can add on to an order (something small but apparently that's the end of the world). And just straight up rude. I eat at this zaxbys more than anyone. I've never had them mess up an order beyond giving me 1 zax sauce instead of 2. The workers are always nice, and they always seem happy; they're making jokes with each other and laughing in the back every time I'm waiting for an order. Its never taken more than a few minutes to get my food even though I order large meals most of the time. I'll continue eating at this zaxbys as long as I'm at southern. read more

Ordered 20 strips online. Pickup time 4:45. Currently still waiting on my order after arriving at 4:45 and the current time is 5:20.

This place is usually the go to but after my last experience I'm not coming back unless every other restaurant in the area is closed. Order a grill cheese expected it to be perfect just like the last time I ordered a grill cheese two nights ago, the grill cheese was far from perfect. It tasted like a brick of salt and was literally covered in it. When I called and talked to the manager she was nice and said she would replace it. I came back with my food still in the box and receipt and expected to get my same meal I bought instead I was given the sandwich and a horrible attitude when I asked about getting fries because I paid for a meal and returned the messed up meal with fries I literally had 5 fries before I ate my sandwich and stopped eating. I had to argue with a manager who started getting an attitude and stopped responding after she knew I was right. Overall sorry about the long review but customer service is key and they really dropped the ball on that one. read more

The first Zaxby's restaurant I visited is on State Bridge Road in Johns Creek, Georgia. The restaurant is very clean and close to my home. The staff is very kind, and one of the employees was my classmate at Johns Creek High School. We were very close friend. My parents and I love Zaxby's and often have lunch there. After I moved to Statesboro, Georgia, I found a Zaxby's restaurant on the campus of Georgia Southern University, which is located on Chandler Road. All the dining halls were closed during the Independence Day holiday, so I had dinner and lunch at Zaxby's every day. When I walked into the restaurant, the staff greeted me. All of the employees were very friendly. The inside of this restaurant was very beautiful and clean. Additionally, the bathroom was very clean. The walls were wood paneled, and the chairs were also made of wood. Some of staff were students at Georgia Southern University. My favorite foods in this restaurant were the barbecue, spicy, and buffalo chicken wings. These orders came with celery and sauces. The chicken wings and celery tasted very delicious. I could also choose between boneless and traditional wings. For most of my meals, I ordered the "Wings & Things" meal which includes wings, chicken fingers, crinkle fries, Texas toast, celery, ranch, and Zax sauce. The staff asked me which sauce I liked, and I said that I liked the Nuclear spicy sauce. This spicy sauce was my favorite. After I paid for my food and got my receipt, the staff told me I could do a survey online and had a chance to win $1,000. I thought this was a good way to improve their customer service. Zach McLeroy and his best friend and business partner, Tony Towny, matched the investment to open the first Zaxby's in 1990. Zaxby's became one of the fastest growing chains in the country.
