We just moved to Statesboro and this is one of our favorite places to go for fabulous sandwiches and salads. The food is really delicious.

Typical chain restaurant but as far as food they have gluten free bread for an upcharge. Also, Salads, soups and stuffed potatoes as options which is great. Service: always friendly staff here. Some of my favorites in the village work here! However weekend staff are consistently off. I ask specifically for double toasted GF as it gets mushy but they consistently forget. It should be obvious as it's mush if they forget. But the saga continues. Ambiance: typical McAlister's but I will say their wifi and power outlets in eating area have made for a lot of stress free kindness during a few hurricanes. read more

Our first visit was great! My wife and I enjoyed our Friday lunch date so much. I had the ham and cheese sandwich with broccoli and cheese soup. My wife had the Reuben with Chicken Pot Pie soup. Everything was wonderful, including the table service. We will definitely go back again. read more

I have to say that the prices are ridiculous! my husband had a half a chicken salad sandwich and cup of soup and a drink. I ordered chicken salad sandwich and side salad with a drink and a piece of cake. $42 dollars! We could have gotten Steaks at a steakhouse. barely any chicken salad on the sandwiches!! The food was very good and quick. The service was good and the pizza was good. We sat outside and there were fans to keep us cool.

My mom came into town and wanted to eat at McAlister's. She's a regular at the McAlister's back home and she wanted to get herself a BLT+A. What she ended up being served was a frankly sad portion with some incorrect ingredients. When she went to talk to the manager, Meghan, said that it was a normal portion. If we're paying an $11 premium for a sandwich, one would expect to get a sizable portion. Very disappointing. read more

I came in tonight at approximately 8:43, 17 minutes before closing and before I was even about to speak a rude employee mentioned with an attitude that they were closing up and only had drinks. Not once did she greet me nor did she have proper customer service like telling me "take care and have a good night". If you do not want to encounter this rude behavior (this was my second time coming to this location) avoid the girl with black hair in a bun at night! Very rude and unprofessional, I am upset and will be calling corporate tomorrow to question their ethics on customer service with employees. I could totally see if I came in at 8:55 but I didn't and the door was still unlocked so that gave me the false perception that they were open for service. Very large location and clean. My food was very good. We were able to find a table easily even on a game weekend.

Good food but some of the stuff need to be trained on how to treat customers. Whoever the girl is that was working today between 10:00 and 11:00 need an attitude adjustment because she is very rude with only certain people because she was very friendly to the person in front of me and then when it came down to me making an order, she instantly got an attitude. read more

Food was good! Service was mediocre. The only person working was the new girl that wasn't fully trained at the counter. Other employees were just running around the counter trying to look busy. I have tried many different dishes at McAlister's Deli. I visited at least 4 times and after the second time, I ask for a fresh baked potato with toppings. at some time you would think they would hear me when I ask for a fresh potato. But they did not. the potato tasted like it was days old, rotten spots, and totally dried out. if that was a fresh potato I am the queen of England. hubby did not enjoy his sandwich either. this is just the way the restaurants in Statesboro operate. I went in around 8:30 tonight and they close at 9 as soon as i got to the register there was a worker who was trying to make it obvious that she didn't want me there she said "i don't know why the f**k y'all like to come in at the last minute" "i am not having these people tonight", and "we're not taking anymore orders after this". i would completely understand if she said said this at 8:55 but there was still 30 minutes before they closed. when i eventually got my food she just threw it up on the counter and did even say "have a good night" or any customer service statement. she threw it on the counter and stormed to the back. i was overall very upset over this interaction read more

We placed an order online for pick up and when we arrived it was ready to go and everything was correct. The food was delicious though portions are small for the price. Also, no staff wear masks here and we were delayed getting help at the counter because the employee was hugging her boyfriend who came to visit. Other than that, good food! read more

Yelp reviews, you really let me down on this one! Went in here for lunch for the first time today. Great service at the counter (to go order..) but that's really the only good thing I have to say about this experience. I opted for a classic turkey with pepper jack cheese and got the hubs a McAllisters club, which is turkey ham and bacon on wheat. My sandwich was on a baguette and was probably 5" long. What a joke! For 7 bucks, I expected something bigger than a kid's size. The lettuce was so old it was completely brown and the tomatoes were not fresh either. They heated it up (gross) so when I got home I had a lukewarm mini sandwich with no veggies because I had to take them off. The hubs club looked like something from an elementary school cafeteria. When they say wheat bread, they mean Walmart quality slices of bread. Really, it was almost comical for the price they charged. Nearly $18 for to very poor quality sandwiches. They make Jimmy Johns and Firehouse seem like fancy restaurants. I also had to wait about 10 minutes for the two sandwiches to be made. While I waited, the line got backed up and I could tell how frustrated the customers were. Not a good sign. Won't be back here - that's for sure! read more

Donnamarie offered great insight. "Every other restaurant had a long wait,...." I should have picked up on that. My Hot Pastrami was quite good, but can you believe they had no rye bread, just a communal bin of hoagie rolls each customer grabs from after shushing away the flies which seemed too enjoy them. Of course, the beggar sitting at the next sidewalk table seemed thankful that I gave her our empty soda cans. Their deli meats are delicious. My best suggestion is to buy the meats and cheeses. Stop buy a bakery to get your breads, go to a neighborhood park and enjoy the best of McAlister's Deli. read more

Don't get wrong I am a huge fan of McAlister's Deli however this location is missing a lot. First off I ordered a French Dip. The meat was not the usual roast beef I receive at every other McAlister's I visit. On top of that you could not even chew the meat replacement.
