I figured I'd give them a try especially after reading about their hamburgers on their website. I am so glad I did. The hamburger was absolutely fantastic. Hot fresh and you could tell it was actually meat not filler. Since it was my first time and I don't eat a lot anyway, I opted to get the kids wimpy burger meal with a small shake. The fries were hot and seasoned good. Not like seasoned fries -which I don't like but cooked with a flavorful seasoning making them crispy and tasteful. Sweet tea rounded out my meal. I got the chocolate shake to take home with me but it almost didn't make it. The shake was thick and good. The service was excellent. The young people were friendly and attentive to customers. I was greeted when I walked in the door and the young man patiently walked me through my options when I had questions or needed to take my time to decide. The place was clean. Lots of seating room inside with a great casual vibe. Perfect for family night, dates and groups. Hidden gem located on the side street (by Kroger's) off Goodman rd in Southaven Ms. I will definitely be back. They do have outdoor patio seating in the parking lot.

The first many times we either picked it up or had it delivered and you can see my previous review for past results...messed up orders. Then we learned the secret: eat in! We have since eaten in many times. Always a success. Fantastic tenders. Friendly service. No more messed up orders! Last night we were hungry and tired. I'd been driving for 10 hours. We wanted something fast and easy. As we approached home, we ordered online for a 9 pm pickup. I knew we were taking a chance. Past pickup experiences were met with disappointment. But hooray! Everything was correct. Everything was delicious - as always. I got the salad with the tendies and it certainly hit the spot. Success!!

I ordered the A1 Steakhouse burger and chili cheese tots. I got fries instead. And the burger I received looked NOTHING at all like the picture on the menu. There were three of us and 2 got Coke Zero and one got fully leaded Coke. Then the girl who got the drinks did a damn three card Monty with them and of course didn't click the little buttons on the lid so you can tell which is regular and which is diet and which is Sprite (). My burger patties were right on the edge of done. The crispy onion strings and A1 sauce were there, I think, but as sparse as the leaves on a tree in December.

The car in front of me in the drive-thru lane pulled up, was handed a bag, she started to pull away and then stopped. Said something to the gal in the window. Staff gal left. And many minutes later they retrieved the bag from her car. Soooo the bag (my bag of food) had been sitting in this other person's car for like 5 minutes or more before they handed her order to her and she drove away. I pulled up, strongly suspecting that it was my food that had been handed to the other random person. I had to say my name several times and then got handed a bag that was sitting by the window...basically confirming my suspicion. But I wanted confirmation. I asked, "she had my food before I got it right?" The young gal working, to her credit, did not lie to me. She got a sheepish grin and nodded yes. My food was cold. It had been in the hands - in the car - of a stranger for 5 or more minutes. This isn't okay.

Fried chicken makes me really happy!…read more Since I have found statin drugs that work tremendously well for me, I can get all of the happy chicken that I want!! Yay! Modern medicine! New year, new deductible! Let's do this! I'm not sure when this place came about, but my coworkers in Jackson, MS swear that this was the original chicken tender, crinkle fry, soggy toast concept before any of the others. It seems unlikely. They are often full of poo. I place my order in the app, then roll up to the speaker, let them know I am there, and it's in my hand with no further ado. It's always been a smooth process and my food is generally handed to me within 30 seconds of stopping at the window. In most cases, you can expect old food in a process such as this. This is where this place excels among the other fried chicken pushers. It's always hot and fresh. That is what makes it so great to me. If I want fried chicken (which is kinda all of the time), then I really would prefer it to be hot and fresh. Call me old fashioned if you want, and don't get me wrong, I'll eat old cold chicken faster than you can say KFC. Nailed it, home run, you go, Guthrie, you old chicken peddling snake.... It's a fast food place. Don't take your date here unless he/she is really ugly and/or eats a lot. That would maybe be a good reason to bring your significant other here I suppose. I just eat in the car.... away from all you strange people. '25 1/111

However, the customer service needs serious improvement. Recently, I went through the drive-thru and got home to find no ketchup or utensils in my bag. When I called to speak with the manager, I explained that this was the second time I've had issues. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager was combative, told me the GM instructed them not to give ketchup unless asked, and then hung up on me when I asked for their name. Good food doesn't make up for poor service. Hanging up on a customer and dismissing feedback is unacceptable. Guthrie's needs to train staff better because this experience makes me think twice about returning.
