I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and my husband the tenders, fries and coleslaw. My sandwich was a good size, filling but not so big it's hard to fit in your mouth. The chicken was good and crispy, however the sauce was so salty I almost couldn't eat it, and I usually salt everything but it was overwhelming. The fries are crinkle and we're crispy and delicious. The tenders were good and hot, they had a nice crisp to them and the coleslaw was good, it's a lot like Canes. The orders were very slow , the place only had 2 other tables and the tenders took a good 10 minutes. One of the top fast food chains I've ever been to. Clean facilities. Usually clean dining rooms and drink stations will also be a thing here. But the odd thing is that most customers opt for the drive thru rather than the dine in experience. You can have the entire dining room to yourself on most nights. Wow! Friday night I was looking for a a place to eat with my husband's 81 year old aunt - so my usual sushi or tacos was vetoed . We started at Chili's - an hour wait, headed to Outback - a hour wait and Waffle House is reserved for Sunday's and Christmas Eve. I guess being as it was prom night - everywhere had a long wait . The staff was friendly but slow and didn't go out of their way to help us through the menu or suggest anything and we're completely clueless when asked basic questions. Being gluten free, there are VERY few "clean" restaurants I can eat at, and they're near non-existent here in Lebanon. So we ventured to the known Zaxby's because I can always get a salad. I ordered the salad and it was a just that - just a sals salad with grilled chicken with dressing on the side - nothing to write home about. Our aunt had the chicken fingers combo; the fries were cold, the chicken was meh (as she left more than she ate) and the wait was longer than it should have been for such a simple order. We stopped here while passing through on vacation. The chicken strips were really good. I'm not a fan of any coleslaw except KFC, but Zaxby's had really good slaw. We weren't a fan of the soggy fries. The Texas toast wasn't toasty probably because it's in the container with the chicken steam but it had good flavor. Neither one of us likes the sauce but that's just a personal preference. The sweet tea was perfect. All the employees were really nice and the place looked really clean. Zaxby's is without a doubt my favorite fast food restaurant. Their restaurants actually make me want to sit and enjoy the food rather than just drive through. This Zaxby's in Lebanon is pretty consistently good the few times I've been here. I like getting the meal of 5 boneless wings with their original sauce. This comes with crinkle cut fries, Texas toast and celery. They serve ranch with the wings and if you want the Zax's sauce (amazing) you need to ask for it or if you want blue cheese dressing instead. I'm knocking off one star off of this review because the boneless wings this past time were tiny but they are usually a pretty good size as well. We've also tried their fried mushrooms which sound odd but are great! As far as fast food goes it really doesn't get much better than their nice restaurants, quick service and good food. read more

It was a decent value for the price at $11 out the door, but I won't order this again. Popeyes Chicken Sandwich kills them. The restaurant was fairly clean and the service was quick. The menu had changed from my last visit to Zaxbys. Of course they got rid of the Cajun Club and Chicken Zalad Sandwich. That's how I ended up picking what I did, the things I like were gone, they were busy so I picked something quickly, and ended up with this. She never once rushed us even though there were a couple of people behind us. We ordered two kids meals and two signature sandwiches. I love all the drink options. I opted for sweet tea, because well I'm in the south.. why not? My sandwich was SLAM DUNK!!! It was breaded but not overly breaded. It was a hearty piece of chicken with lots of flavor. The side of fries wasn't amazing. They could have been seasoned more, but I was more focused on the sandwich. The place was rather clean as well as the bathrooms. Prices weren't bad. They're store manager is rude. He was rude to his employees as well. This man is an example why people don't want to work. People leave because of bad management. I went thru the drive thru durning lunch time. I didn't get me debit card back with my order. Later I called the store to see if they had my card and they did. I walked in to get my card and the manager was at the register taking a guest order. I waiting. When it was my turn he was rude to me. He need to learn to say hello instead of just standing there looking at me. I mentioned I called about the debit card and the young lady standing behind him turned around. He snapped at her and told her he was handing me. She then tried to tell him where my card was and he wouldn't even listen to her. He found my card and I had my ID out to show him and he didn't want to look at my ID. This is a man who shouldn't be managing people and dealing with guest. Extremely disappointed! I went to pick up some salads for dinner. My wife loves their seasonal zensation salad but asks for the sauces on the side because the salad gets soggy in the distance it takes to get home. Got home and mine didn't have nuclear sauce on the chicken like I asked but was going to eat it anyway. My wife said "they put some sauce on mine anyways" but sat down to eat it anyway. Sat down to eat and after one bite my wife said "omg! My mouth is on fire! ". They had put the nuclear sauce in her zensation salad. I packaged the salads back up and went back. I complained and was met with blasé attitude. "It was just a mistake" was their response. I explained that I had just wasted 50 minutes of my life in getting salads. They remade the salads. Put the sauce on the zensation salad. I think I figured out the problem - they are incapable of following more than one order. Oh and by the way they just gave her back the original egg roll. Want to know how I know?! Because it still had nuclear sauce on it. I usually love Zaxbys but we won't be back for a while. I was trying to place my order at the drive thru and every time I would say something I would get "do you want anything else ". Finally got my order placed $60 worth of food. At the window I asked for a couple of Zac sauce and was told I am just going to take that out of your change. Not a big deal on the price but give me a break they can't give up 2 Zax sauce? I'm not sure if I just have an off judgement because my entire visit in the entire state of Tennessee has just been horrible, or maybe if it's completely this restaurant. I understand this is fast food. And that is all it was. Fast. Food. Two of my wings were over cooked, bland and dry. There was no ice in the ice machine. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned since Dolly Partons childhood. The dining room wasn't much better. The employees were rude and didn't care much about service. The lady working the counter looked me in my face while counting out my change to tell me that she needed a nap after the lunch rush.. there were two people in front of me and no one behind me. Another employee, from the kitchen sat down with a customer for a few minutes. After waiting ten minutes while four other orders were handed out that were ordered after ours, I asked about getting one extra Zax sauce for my son, to be told it will be an extra .25. Next time I will just go to Chick Fil A, where they respond with how many do you want and don't charge, after having someone wait that spend $25 It's one thing to have a charge for something, but not if you have to wait because you are not fully staffed. read more
