Zaxby's offers a variety of chicken meals. The place was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The establishment offers drive through service, dine-in, and order on app. We chose dine in for our first experience. We ordered the Zax Big Snack and wanted to try one of two chicken taco flavors, Avocado Ranch. (The other is Chipotle Ranch.) It took almost 10 minutes to get our 2 items, but as mentioned earlier, it was extremely busy when we arrived. The meal reminded me of Raising Cane's, I'd often dined in Texas. The chicken strips were not as crispy as I would have hoped, but the fries were well seasoned, and the chicken taco was tasty to eat. Food was ok. Chicken wasn't very crispy. Fries had little flavor. Disappointment was the ladies' bathroom. Went in to use prior to ordering. Two stalls..first had blood on and in the toilet. 2nd had a very dirty bowl that had obviously not been cleaned for some time. Used that toilet carefully but no TP in holder next to toilet. Had to far reach across to a second holder. Ate lunch and after about 25 minutes went back to bathroom before we left. First toilet same; never addressed. And now the SECOND toilet is covered in blood. This tells me it is a worker doing this. The place itself had only a few male patrons when we walked in and only 2 women when we left. Nasty. Good food and good service. They could lower their prices so it would be easier to go out more often.

The food was very good and hot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommend that you try it and enjoy it as much as I did. Even gave my fur baby a pup cup. Didn't even have to ask they saw her and asked if she could have one. Will be going there again. read more

We ordered a fairly huge meal and they left out my wife's salad. We are on the other side of town and they replaced the entire order! The manager went above and beyond to take care of us! The tenders were amazing as always! That's why we love this place!!!! read more

The reason I gave the 5* was that every time I came into Zaxby's my food was fresh and hot just the way it loves it!. The Johnson City, Zaxby's Staff are always friendly and helpful same with management. The restaurant was also remarkably clean . I recommend this place to anyone who has never been here before. read more

Been over there twice in the last two week each time buying dinner for family. The chicken is not crispy at all, nothing like it use to be. Doesn't look like it use to either I know it isn't gonna look exactly like the pictures, but it use to be close. Probably done going here unless I hear it's changed. read more

Went through the drive thru today, ordered the gen tso boneless wing meal with fries and half & half tea. Got the bag and no fork, no napkins, no ketchup... the girl seamed aggravated that I even asked for utensils and ketchup... she handed me 12 packs! And I didn't even get my drink. This visit to Zaxby's was the worst yet. Upon my arrival I already had planned out what I was going to order for me, my husband, and my Mom. My Mom wanted a Ceasar Salad that I found out was no longer on the menu when I ordered it. So I had to call her (after placing my order) in the line and see what else she might want. She ended up getting what I got a 4 Ct chicken finger plate w/ a drink. My husband got a 5 Ct. Chicken finger plate. We all three wanted ranch sauce. And I wanted buffalo sauce on the side. None of the ranch except one was in there. I got my buffalo but no ranch. Then we also got two apps, fried mushrooms and fried white cheddar cheese bites. Those were literally the only things that were worth the money. Our chicken fingers were super tiny and over cooked. The fries were cold and we didn't get any of the sauces we asked for when I ordered each meal. So there's the food part... Now on to the customer service problems!!! When I got to the window I did indeed have to add on my Mom's meal which wasn't a big deal for them to do. When the girl told me my total of $38.32 I gave her $38.00 cash. The girl took my money and then proceeded to ask me **verbatim** "Do you want 68 pennies?" So of course no one would prefer that many pennies, right? So I replied, "No." And little did I know I wasn't going to get my change or my receipt. Instead of telling me this - "Ma'am all I have are pennies right now. Would you mind waiting for me to go get the change or would you like me to just give you your change in all pennies?" She told me this " Do you want 68 pennies?" Um... No. That is STEALING FROM THE CUSTOMER! I don't care what the change is, you give me my change. I would of found 32 cents to give her instead of a whole extra dollar. But she gave me one option of getting 68 pennies.. which I said no to. Thinking she should go get the other denominations of change but heck no! What would she of done if I said "Do you want $37.32 for that food?" I mean heellllooo! WTF $40 for a meal at Zaxby's is a lot of money to me... I know that's probably not much to most people but to me it is. Regardless of the amount of money I pay for something I want what I pay for to be exactly how I expect it to be. So if you plan on going to the Zaxby's in Kingsport, TN on Stone Drive I recommend just going somewhere else. Unless you like small portions of chicken that are overcooked and cold soggy fries... I will go order take out from Texas Roadhouse if I want to spend this kind of money.. and honestly... 3 chicken critter meals from TX Roadhouse is a little over 30 bucks and definitely cheaper than Zaxby's and you get handbreaded chicken tenders and two sides of your choice at TX. So yeah... Unless you want crappy food and no change if you pay with cash I recommend Zaxby's. Otherwise... Don't waste your time, money, or energy going to this Zaxby's. read more

Zaxby's is one of my favorite places to eat. Recently I decided to try their teriyaki sauce for my wings and it was absolutely terrible.
