I was impressed with this location! After reading the reviews I had low expectations, but my order was spot on. I used the zaxbys website to place my order and then selected drive thru for my pickup location. My food was hot and fresh, fries were so delicious. I forgot how bad the service at this location is. As I pulled up I watched two cars back out of the drive thru. I should have joined them. One car in the drive thru and when they order and pull up I'm asked to wait. It's been a few minutes now. Guess I'm pulling off too like everyone else. Last time I came here close to a year ago the service was poor. Every time I come here it's poor. Never again. Thank goodness I don't live here and just stop when I'm traveling between Nashville and Memphis. As I pulled out the car that pulled up ahead of me was already waiting passed the window for their food. Yet my order was not being taken. Again, the service is so poor at this location. Was craving Zaxby's so we went here. The line was long so we figured it would be okay. We were wrong. The person working the drive thru was rude and could barely hear our order. When we got our food, they left off the slaw we ordered. Our cheese curds were cold and spongy and the chicken tasted like it had been sitting out all day. Worst customer service, last week my husband went through drive through and they shut down early telling him to leave after he waited in line for 20 mins, I talked to customer service and was given two free meals, my husband went today to get the free meals and was told they weren't on the books so I called the manager and she told me to go to the other location right down the street which my husband did, he was told at 5:52pm they were closing at 6pm and couldn't serve him, he told them we just spoke with the manager and they allowed him to order our two free meals and some other stuff. He paid for the other stuff and was told to come back tomorrow for the two free meals because they were closed and weren't going to make anymore food. I called the manager to shive the free meals. Worst service ever!!! The restaurant was nearly empty, yet we waited nearly 15 minutes to get our food, once the employee FINALLY decided to take our order. I honestly feel discriminated against after visiting. The employee was African-American. She didn't even acknowledge us until about 2 minutes after we arrived. Then when my daughter began ordering, a black man walked up and the employee helped him, although my daughter was mid-sentence placing her order. RUDE!!! Every table was dirty. The floor was unswept and sticky. The manager stated it was due to a team eating there right before we got there but no effort in the 50 minutes we were there was made to clean. There was no sense of urgency from the manager. So I've been a fan of Zaxby's since I moved to Athens, GA back in the 90s. Their headquarters are in Athens. Zaxby's has great chicken fingers and wings. Their salads are really good too. The Jackson location has a manager that is stingy on the fries in kids meals. 12 fries? Really? I've never had that experience at other Zaxby's and I hope the Jackson location can wake up and smell the coffee. I can't complain otherwise. read more

Additionally, the service is terrible and I left without receiving my food after waiting over thirty minutes. I thoroughly enjoy Zaxby's at other locations. I love Zaxbys but I will not go back to this location. I got there and there was 1 person in front of me but you could tell they had just had a small rush of orders. My order was order number 20 and I decided to dine in. I had a Cajun Grilled sandwhich and cheese curds. 17 minutes later I had not receuved my food while every order after me had up until order number 27. Finally I was called. I got my sandwhich and took one bite and it was wrong. It was a plain grilled chicken with ranch and it was cool. Not cold but not hot. I went ahead and ate it because 1 I had already taken a bite and two I was not going to wait anymore for fast food. The only positive is their soda machine.
