I waited in line for an hour and at 10 pm on the dot they told me I couldn't have any food and rudely yelled "we're closed" out the back window. We are now an hour behind on our trip and so hungry. I've never been treated this way before read more

This is my first time ordering. Girl at the window wasn't friendly it I can see past that for good food. The chicken was gross not crunchy at all, the fries had no flavor. I tried it once and never going back. I had to throw it away bc it was so bad. read more

Food was trash! Wings are dry as hell, all they had were drumstick (EW!) girls at the register were nice. My first time trying this place and I will NOT be back. Food was flavorless and again I repeat dry. No thanks Zaxby's you're NOT it for me. read more

You better get there well before closing, because the "we closed, we ain't got no food" excuse is pretty lame 15 minutes before closing while I see y'all cleaning. read more

Pretend you got Raising Caine's and let it sit on your dashboard for a couple of hours. Then take some Prego sauce, dump a bunch of salt and cayenne pepper into it, and pour that over your chicken. Ta Da! Zaxby's chicken fingers in insane sauce are disgusting. The plain chicken fingers are fine but not as good or fresh as Caine's. The zax sauce is fine, the ranch is meh. Honestly, though, why is there oregano and/or basil in the hot sauce? I asked if I could have extra fries instead of coleslaw, they said I could. However they did not give me the extra fries at all. I know because the meal I ordered with coleslaw had the exact number of wet crinkle fries as the 'double fries' meal. The drink that comes with the meal is an exercise in cup volume magic. It's as tall as an adult drink cup but the volume of a child's drink. Thick styrofoam and a narrow profile packed with ice makes a fountain drink here even more of a scam than usual. To be fair if you love that rabbit pellet ice you might pay anything for it. Adding insult to injury, they charge you 1.50 to drown your chicken in that foul gravy. Never again. read more

This place is such a joke! The people working there are useless!!!!!! They were out of bread and fries and wouldn't allow substitutions...and no discounts for the inconvenience of it all. I wanted a a salad and she didn't know which one of the flavors was grilled.....thanks we will go to Canes!! read more

I was surprised to see a Zaxby's in Texas. I thought they were only located back home in the Georgia Florida areas. As soon as I saw it I screamed "Zaxby's " my husband was like "Really ok let's do it.!" Upon entry it was clean I mean very clean the tables were wiped off, the floor was free of trash and crumbs, it was very comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful. The manager was going from table to table greeting and talking with customers who were dining in. It was pretty nice. There uniforms were on point & they were nicely groomed. ( this really matters to me) My husband and I ordered the snack pack and ate it on the way to run more errands. Soooooooooooooooooooo good. I took a few pics but basically this food was devoured lol lol. I hope this review was helpful and your visit to this store is as great as ours and hopefully you share the same experience (if not better)as we did. You have a great day SYOY read more

It's not a bad place to eat, the prices are reasonable but I'm not ok with old food especially with desserts because I have small children. I placed my online order March 30 @2:58pm please view the picture of the dessert I rreceived. That's just nasty, throw it away. Clearly being that everything is pick up I wasnt in the restaurant when I began to take my items out the bag. It would definitely cost more in gas to drive back up there. read more

Zaxbys - Clearly this mess was two days old when they gave it to me. An old, nasty brownie - Chicken Wings Near Me - Houston, Texas

I've never been disappointed here. The Resturant is always clean and the food is always delicious. It's an interesting concept, almost like a fast food chain turned Resturant. The inside is nicely decorated and there is plenty of seating. The chicken.. Oh the chicken. It's so good!! The portions are definitely oversized but who would ever complain about that?! Highly recommend for a quick and cheap bite to eat! read more

Zaxbys - The salads here are insanely delicious - Chicken Wings Near Me - Houston, Texas

I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd give it a shot. Well of course the sandwich doesn't look anything like to the big fried chicken sandwich in the advertisements. I don't expect exact replica but it wasn't even close. Definitely not worth the nearly $6 just for a sandwich! Wish I had taken a picture. read more

ZAXBY's is just hit or miss period. When the food is hot it's not bad. The prices for certain items (Zax House salad) are borderline ridiculous. A salad and small sweet tea comes in at over 10$. Posted a photo of my plastic bag. It was raining yes, but does Zaxby's think it's acceptable for the red and blue ink to end up on my shirt or my car seat? read more

Zaxbys - My bag. This ink ended up on the white table at work. Are they really not liquid proof? If this was on the seat of my Challenger...grrrr. - Chicken Wings Near Me - Houston, Texas

Horrible service, horrible food. Ordered through the drive thru, they had me pull up and wait for the food. Ended up having to go inside to pick up my meal. Not a good place if you need something fast to eat. read more

This is the feedback I sent to Zaxbys: I ordered the fish basket. My wife ordered the chicken basket. The server (a young man) delivered two chicken baskets. When I said I ordered a chicken basket I was told I didn't. My son-in-law backed me up by saying "he did order the fish basket". The server then said "Well, I can't take it back." 1. Customer service is poor, especially telling the customer he was wrong. 2. Then 'guilting the customer by implying 'well we'll have to throw it out if you don't take it" hmm, not my idea of encouraging a future visit I told him "I'll eat the chicken." So, Zaxbys did get a sale...but they won't ever get another sale from me nor my son-in-laws family and this review will be posted here - Yelp.. The chicken was OK, a little too salty for my taste. Frys were OK. I didn't know you could get no taste cabbage for coleslaw and claim it was coleslaw by adding cheap mayonnaise. I could see why Zaxbys would need something that had NO flavor whatsoever to balance out the salty fried chicken. Maybe that was their intent? If it wasn't their intent then they need to work on their coleslaw 'recipe'. read more

Had a bad experience last Sunday, 9-10-23...ordered the Cobb salad along with a funnel cake. When we paid with a twenty dollar bill, the cashier in the drive through failed to give us any dollars for the change for the twenty. When he did hand us our coin change, he missed my husband's hand and the change fell to the ground. I looked in the bag to see if everything was there, which it appeared to be, so we drove home. We started eating our food and hubby noted that the funnel cake was hard as heck, and they failed to include any caramel sauce that came with it. My salad was good, but I noticed it seemed different than the Cobb salad I had ordered the previous week. Well, after looking again at the menu item online, I realized that it should have included a whole egg, along with fried crispy onion ring pieces, and some cucumber pieces. So it was similar, but not quite right. When I went to double check our receipt, I discovered that they had wrung it up as a Southwest Salad, which is not what I had ordered. So in hindsight, next time I'll thoroughly check my order to be certain that we get what we ordered and what we paid for, prior to driving off. read more

The staff at this location is rude, childish, and unprofessional. I hate coming here but I don't have a Zaxbys on my side of town so when I get a chance I'll usually stop by and every time whether drive through or dine in it's a bad experience. I asked the cashier to give me minute while trying to order , and she rolled her eyes and walked away as if she gets charged to have patience ! I was the only customer in the store so they weren't doing s*** . I couldn't even comfortably order my d*** food ! No home training obviously read more

I love Zaxby's from the first time I ate there in Atlanta and South Carolina. Two things. On 02/01/2021 cole slaw was room temp in my to go container. It was soured and just gross. Got 2 meals to go. No katsup was included for fries. Really who eats fries without katsup. Ordered unsweetened tea and got 2 sweet teas that we just poured out. This place was just gross today. Zaxby's better keep their cole slaw cold or they will have issues. read more

Finally took the kids here to try their chicken. First impression was not good with the service. We walked up to the cashier and she just ignored us without any greetings... if we didn't start ordering, we probably just stood there forever... my kids order their #3 meal , chicken sandwich, fries and drink... I tried their chicken salad sandwich... chicken was definitely not better than Canes or Chick fil a and the fries was too soft. Also Canse sauce was better too... Well, had to try it!!!! read more

Zaxbys - Chicken Wings Near Me - Houston, Texas

Wanted a chicken fix after vacation and decided to come here. It's okay, not as good as it use to be. Chicken cooked too long, fries are warm. It will get the job done for now. Chicken salads are usually good, staff is friendly and move rather quickly. read more

Zaxbys is my favorite restaurant in town. Not only do they have consistently great food, but the best staff in town and that really matters to me!The one on Ponce De Leon Blvd is the one I go to almost everyday for lunch where I am treated like family....way to go Zaxbys Crew! Thanks read more

We'd just arrived from church at 10:30am (when they open) and ordered. I asked for fresh lemons because the bucket they had out was from the night before. The manager seemed irritated at my request. Next they brought out my salad, it had cheese... I asked for no cheese. The manager just took the tray from me didn't make any eye contact, tossed it on the counter... yelled at the cook in Spanish and as I was apologizing and telling him I'm sorry if I upset you but I have a dairy allergy...he ignored me and walked away. So I'm a little frustrated by this time. They call us up again and my husband had ordered bar b q wings.... they gave him hot buffalo. So again (dreading the interaction) I go and tell him. He just took the tray, no apology and again walked away. Keep in mind we were the only ones in there at the time because it had just opened. Horrible customer service! #MsTiffanyRealtor read more

Zaxby's gives Chik-fil-a serious competition any day in my opinion. Their Chicken is tasty but a little too salty for me and does require a very large drink when you eat a meal there. What I love are the crinkle fries, Texas Toast and the Zaxby sauce. What I don't like is the how difficult it can be to get into their parking lot given it's only got one entrance off of busy FM 1960. Another entrance off of Fallbrook would work well. What's unique about this place is how quiet it is! Every time I've been there it's very quiet and the staff are very courteous and the restaurant is always clean. read more

As fast food chicken places go in the hit or miss category. This one's a hit. Not a home run but a hit. At least a double... And don't think you're gonna go in and get some chicken breasts and legs with mashed taters and slaw like KFC. This is a chicken finger, wings and sammie place only. Oh yeah they have salads but ya really going here for a salad? Ok...a friend in Atlanta tells me they have the best salads for a fast food place. I trust her opinion on this one! Honestly the Zaxby's sauce we got with the chicken fingers was terrific. Spicy, mayo, Italian dressing thick stuff. The fingers were large, quality white meat (not processed stuck together stuff) and crispy. There were no greasy fingers here. They are proud of them...$8 or so just for 10 fingers. No sides. For a snack I'd pull in and grab some again. The sides they offer are all deep fried things and starch. Celery was the only green thing besides the salads I saw on the menu. I'd do 4 stars if they had some green beans or fried okra. I don't eat wings but my wife does and she loved them. Sauces run the gamut from bbq to nuclear. She got the tongue torch and said it was the perfect heat. She got the boned ones but they do offer boneless...that just seems wrong. Boneless wings are chicken fingers right? I'd not come in for a meal. But for a quick wing stop or finger snack I sure would. Kids would like it a lot and it was clean and the staff friendly. read more

Went to this location to try it out for the first time and gotta say I'm a little in between. Food was ok, chicken was small and it took 20 minutes for it to come out and the workers were horrendous. Starting closing before all customers were served and saw one eating at the drive through around 9:40. Overall I'd say drive a little more down to Raising canes, way worth it and more bang for your buck. read more

Allllllllll of this time there was a Zaxby's in Houston and I spent dayyyyyysssss day dreaming about it.....the nearest one is 30 min away from me and I'll happily drive it again. The chicken was super fresh and savory, the bread was toasted to perfection and the coleslaw was bomb! The only issue I had was the customer service, they had no interest in working nor guiding us through the menu since it was our first time there but besides that the food was worth it and worth the hype! Wayyyyy better than canes! read more

First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. I went w/ the chicken strips and wing meal served w/ toast, fries, celery, and a drink for $10. The wings were really good and spicy. The chicken strips were delicious and didn't need the dipping sauces. The fries were freshly cooked a d really good too. The toast was probably my favorite item. It was buttered and toasted perfectly. Great stop for fast food that isn't expensive and will fill you up. They have much more flavor than Cane's. read more

I first have to rave about the fantastic service here. The people working were friendly, happy to answer questions, and the manager came around to each table as we were eating to make sure all was ok. He even offered to get us a refill on our drinks, although we did not take him up on it as that seemed to far above the call of duty. It really left an impression on us, for a fast food joint to take the time to do so. Also, the place is incredibly clean. The décor is nice, with a dark ceiling, and wooden benches and floors, and a neutral shade of paint on the walls. For a fast food joint it was pretty nice inside. The outside does not match the interior for sure. Sadly the food was nothing to special. Nothing truly wrong with it, but not really worth the calories. Just your average run of the mill chicken tenders and fries. They had some little chicken slider sandwiches that looked good, maybe those are more impressive, but we didn't try them. The Zax sauce was VERY salty, and tasted like a knock off version of Canes sauce from Raisin Canes. NO fault of this location however, as it is prepackaged. I really wish we had liked the food, because we loved the little restaurant and as mentioned the staff. read more

My mother heard about this place when she would visit Atlanta & my uncle-in law would talk about it as well. I think when a place isn't in a city it gets hyped into something it isn't, or maybe b/c this is the food capital of the world we don't get excited for much. i think of this place as middle of the pack. So they specialize in chicken, obvs. They do fries and toast and dipping sauces, okaay. Boned and boneless wings offered... still not convinced? Well then that's what it is, & the chicken isn't fried the best. If the chicken were a musician it'd play in the Bland Band, now touring Houston! i won't buy tickets. read more

Went to a Zaxby's for the first time a few days ago. It beats me why anyone would go to one of these places. Very limited menu. We had 5 wings (naked) with fries, one chicken salad sandwich (no fries) and one drink. The wings were far from good, the fries were far from crisp, and the toast seemed like it had been sitting for a few hours. and one soft drink. Granted this place was only open for a few weeks. but they should have some idea what they should be doing. The order came to over $17.00 for the meal. Our first and last visit to a Zaxby's read more
