Every time we go to the south we see these restaurants everywhere but have failed to go inside one. The chicken is okay and nothing special in my book, and a bit on the salty side.

What can I say-- it's Zaxby's -- an amazing fast food chicken restaurant that is always amazing! The location looks very new, and the seating set up in here is very nice and a little different from most locations. This location was very clean as well. Once you place your order the servers come around to find you and you don't have to stand in the front and wait for your order ( unlike other locations). My house salad with extra chicken was great along with my Texas toast. My tea was good as well. Only thing I noticed is this location doesn't have Zaxby's signature ice-- little pebble ice like Sonic's. Other than that no complaints here!

Okay, so I got some boneless buffalo wings and fries from this location, and they were disgusting. My wings were dry and cold, barely had no sauce on them, and my fries were unseasoned. I am extremely disappointed in this meal, and I suggest going to the Zaxbys in Petal cause this one is horrible. read more

I gotta say I rarely write bad reviews for places but this place really sucks, you're honestly better off driving to petal if you really want Zaxby's... we placed an online order was told it would be there at a certain time and waited 45 minutes to get our food out to us... we had already made plans to go see a movie with my 2 year old twins. After calling a few time and getting a manager, we finally got our food, only 70 percent of the order was correct, we asked the manager if they could do anything to correct the order and they said " sorry we don't do anything for online orders" so they could honestly have just come out threw some sauce at us and claimed the order was filled. Pretty upset with today's interaction. So hope this helps someone in the future. read more

I just want to say, although I generally do not do this, I have felt the need to criticize this establishment. While the employees are nice, the service is horrible. I don't understand it. The worst Zaxbys I've ever been to. The dining room was filthy, and I've seen cleaner bathrooms in a nightclub! Service was terrible, no ice or napkins left in the restaurant. Zaxbys are typically very nice for "fast food"- this location is disgusting. read more

Been here a couple times while I'm down here for work. Thought I just caught a couple cashiers having bad days or something the first couple tones. Since the food seemed hid I looked past it. But the lobby is dirty every time and the service was just as bad this time. But what finally did it for me. The coleslaw taste like someone mixed in a half smoked cigarette in the batch. I thought my taste buds were deceiving me, but then I smelled it. Smells like an ash tray. Worst zaxbys I've ever been to. read more

Service was horrible! We waited 30 minutes for our food. My husband had to ask for our food and the girl behind the counter told someone in the back she needed two chicken strip plates. She must not have submitted our order when we placed it and paid for it! Another customer had to ask for his food too. Bathroom was nasty! Commode seat needs to be replaced. It was disgusting! Worst Zazby's I've ever been to. Paper was not in holder. Paper towel was laying in the sink. Total lack of work ethics is my option. I had to choose one star only because it wouldn't let me choose none! read more

The cheesecake, while delicious, was missing its chocolate sauce -- a small thing that makes a noticeable difference. And to top it off, my celery and carrots were completely left out of the order. Those little details matter, especially when you're paying delivery prices. The Highs: The wings -- Wingstop's whole reason for being -- were lukewarm on arrival but still delivered on flavor. Delicious seasoning, solid sauce, and worth every bite even if the temperature wasn't ideal. And despite the missing chocolate sauce, the cheesecake was still a genuinely pleasant surprise. Delivery always carries some risk with hot food, and some of this may fall on Door Dash rather than Wingstop. But forgotten items and incomplete desserts are hard to overlook regardless of who's responsible. Stick to the wings, double-check your bag before the driver leaves, and don't skip the cheesecake -- just make sure the chocolate sauce made it in there. I should have made a better dinner choice tonight, but the wings reminded me why Wingstop stays in the rotation. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

There are absolutely no shortages of places to eat in Hattiesburg. Some visiting might lean towards safe places with menu items they feel secure and safe with, and there's nothing wrong with that. But, if that's you you're missing out on some amazing food. Today I took my wife for mother's day as they had some special items on their menu, while also keeping their regular menu available. We started with their standard dumpling appetizer. We get it everytime we eat there and they're delicious every time. The meals we picked were the the kimchi cabanara and the shrimp and grits. Both on their special mother's day menu. Both were absolutely delicious with fresh ingrediants, balanced seasonings and amazing flavors. I'm Italian and grew up eating traditional family Sunday dinners but this bowl of pasta was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere of the place is very modern with a combination of traditional asian features mixed with some modern MTV inspired artwork. If you're into craft cocktails they got you covered as well. The only miss we had to day was our server never came back to take our dessert order, when we asked to order it he confused what we said for the bill and brought that instead. Not a deal breaker, we were actually too full for it anyway and we've had their desserts before. They always inventive and delicious. At the end of the day, one small service hiccup wasn't enough to overshadow what was an outstanding meal and experience. In a city packed with chain restaurants and predictable menus, places like this are what make Hattiesburg's food scene worth exploring. If you're willing to step outside your comfort zone a little, you'll be rewarded with creative dishes, quality ingredients, and flavors you'll still be thinking about on the drive home. Cocktails were creative and beautifully presented. The food was great - eclectic Asian would be my descriptor. We had the pickled veggies which included kim chi, black garlic, poblanos, pickles, and collards. The assortment was very nice. The pork and shrimp dumplings were a bit firmer than I'm used to, but not in a bad way, and the flavors were excellent. The pot roast egg rolls were a fun mashup. The okra was delicious - perfectly cooked and great balance of flavors. The pork belly buns were my favorite item. Lots of tender, crispy pork on a cloud soft bun. Yum! I will definitely return if in the area.
