Thanks to Mr. Chimetime's (see his YT channel) review about the new chicken tacos at Zaxby's, I figured I'd venture out to a Zaxby's location while staying in Baton Rouge for an assignment. YELP brought me to this location where I ordered one of each taco along with some veggie eggrolls in the drive-thru. Now here is where it gets messy (literally). After paying, I'm informed to pull up near the entrance door and they will bring my food out. After about 8-10 minutes, I see a girl come out swinging a zaxby's bag around and standing there. Finally I make eye-contact with her and ask her if that's my order. After repeating the order to her, she swings the bag into my arms instead of just handing it to me. I wanted to scream at her cause when you swing a bag of tacos, they will spill and get messy. Of course when I opened the boxes, that's what happened: sauces all over the place and fillings spilled out of the tortilla. Finally getting to my room, I unwrapped and put them together and started eating them. The tacos aren't bad, definitely would've tasted better had they been put together instead of shaken by a swinging bag. The veggie eggrolls tasted exactly what cafeteria eggrolls taste like. Pretty depressing overall after paying $15 for the order. Don't think I'll be back to this Zaxby's with the way the employees handle to-go orders. read more

We stopped here because my wife wanted the potato chips which, if you didn't know, have been removed from the menu - unless you order from the catering side. Defeats the purpose of offering fresh hot chips if you can't get them except to go for catering purposes. They would literally be cold by the time you got them to go for a function off site from the physical store. I hope someone from corporate sees this. Stopped here again on my way back to Texas and the service was as friendly and as fast as one can hope for. The lady at the window was very nice and helpful. The chicken tenders were actually tender and well seasoned. The French fries had more seasoning than most Zaxbys I go to which is a very good thing, they tasted much better. 100% recommend this location. read more

My first time here Terrible. Cashier ZaMaya was very nice and sweet. Her boss was not very nice to her. Told her to do things in a condescending voice. Cashier ZaMaya went to hand me the receipt and she took it out of her hands and handed it to me. The boss was running drive through bags and did not acknowledge me when I asked for the ranch sauce that was on my receipt. Sandwich was dry and not good. Fried pickles were 100% terrible. I'm not sure what went wrong with this location. But tonight was the worst ever. For whatever reason our to go order had no fries. Huh? Why? My sweet tea was hot, hardly any ice. The chicken was dry, tough and small. And def overcooked. The slaw was just thrown in the container with the chicken and toast. Not in a cup. Therefore all the liquid from the slaw spilled over to the chicken. Which then made for soggy, slaw sauce soaked, tough chicken, ugh Mine was in a separate compartment, which still leaked. My husband's was next to the chicken. Ummm first off, consistency? Secondly, his was soaked in liquid. This is unacceptable. It's a good thing we live close. The service was really slow, I had to wait 40+ minutes to get my food. Also, they forgot the drink that I ordered.

The service is absolutely terrific, and the Lady that served us was Ms.Tonya (She was excellent). She was very sweet, and professional. She welcomed us in the second we entered the door and greeted my father and I with "Yes sir's" during our whole interaction. Zaxbys is a typical fast food restaurant that serves chicken tenders and fries and a few other menu items. However, I have never gone and the food was not piping hot and fresh. Also the Zax sauce is soooo good. My baby loves their chicken tenders. I mean all I have had was the tenders and fries and the Asian zing salad and I go at least twice a month. So go stop by and get some hot tenders and fries. read more

If you're a Louisiana native, you may feel like this establishment is competing with one of your favorite chicken places. But honestly they're pretty different. This location is really quite nice inside. I'd never been to Zaxby's before so I waffled around a lot on what to order. The man at the register was super patient, helping me make decisions and even offering me a sample of some of the sauces to help me decide. This is not typical from a "fast-food" joint, in my experience. The food was not bad. I found the chicken fingers to be pretty ordinary, but with a good amount of seasoning. The boneless wings were the same you can get anywhere. In other words, you could do a lot worse than eating at Zaxby's. Give it a try- you might like it. read more

If I could give no stars I would! This restaurant was terrible! The coleslaw was spoiled! The chicken was way too salty! Told the manager who said he would check the expiration date. I really love Zaxby's. It's my favorite chicken tender restaurant because they have so many options. They have sandwiches, salads, chicken finger plates, wings, and cool sides. This location is really nice on the inside. I love the decor, it's much different than the locations I frequent in Mobile. However, the food is subpar. It's not bad, but it's just not as good as the food I had at other Zaxby's locations. They're also inconsistent. Some days I have really good food here, sometimes it's kind of terrible. I always order buffalo chicken fingers. Sometimes they sauce the tenders enough, sometimes there is barely any sauce. Sometimes the fries are salted perfectly, sometimes they're not. Sometimes they get my order right, sometimes they get it wrong. If you want more than plain chicken tenders, check out Zaxby's because they have a variety of sauces, etc. If you just want plain chicken tenders and fries, go to Cane's. read more

I love this Zaxby's! Every time I've gone it's been good service and really good food. My food came out quick each visit and was soooo good. we stopped in and the two of us ordered, i have horrible allergies to food and knew i wouldnt be able to order much. they didnt have an allergen menu so i just ordered fries the order taker are you sure you just want that. i said im allergic so she got the chef logan and he came out and knew what was in the food and knew what to make me WOW WOW WOW I was amazed and he brought out a great plate that I ate and it was good. i tipped him of course but want corporate to know i was amazed and happy. it was a long day on the road and well worth the stop you helped my my health out thank you so much. ! read more

Food is outstanding! Their salads are by far the best! No other place can compete. The salads are so big that you have two meals.

I enjoyed a delicious salad with fried chicken. The veggies were mostly fresh and crisp. The tomatoes were a little ripe but not horrible. It came with toast that may have been better warm. The chicken is good and was impressed with the variety of items they offer on the menu. I've been looking for a spot with some good salads and was told to come here. Grilled chicken Cobb salad was fresh and filling! It looks like they also cater and the prices weren't unreasonable. The dining area was roomy, clean, and private. It's my first time here, Ordered 2 chicken plates, one with teriyaki sauce on the side & also cheese bites. I noticed there was no teriyaki sauce so my husband ran in real quick to get it. As soon as he got thru the door, he's approached by the girl from the window who is literally pushing the box of cheese bites into his chest. He'd forgotten about them so he asked what is this? The girl opened the box & tried to hurry & close it because one of the cheese bites was half eaten. Holding the box in utter confusion, he asked her if she seen the chewed up piece. She says Oh & proceeds to open the box, pick out the piece with her bare hands, throw it at the trash, miss, pick it back up & throw it in the trash then closed the box back which was STILL IN HIS HANDS. Being from Alabama, Zaxbys feels like home to me and this one is no exception. I'll sometimes stop by the drive thru just for fries and sauce as a snack. I love that they have more than just chicken and fries, the salads are great and portions are huge. The Big Zax Snack meals are a great deal and my usual go-to. Top the meal off with a birthday cake milkshake and you can't go wrong! (Other than the calorie intake but hey, nobody said it was health food) read more

Went through the drive through and ordered a chicken finger plate. Asked to replace the Zax sauce for Tongue Torch and asked to add an additional Tongue Torch sauce. First time I went the lady was rude. Second time was very unprofessional and just plan sad. Called at 9:45pm to order to go and they answered the phone and took my order and said as long as I was there by 10pm I would get my food. Got there and the girl acted like she didn't see me, turned the lights off and continued to go in and out of the door as if I wasn't at the drive thru window. We ordered in the dining in area for two adults off of the main menu. Our order was rang up and paid out for 14.97 at 5:37pm. At 5:54, nearly 20 minutes later, we received our food from the apathetic attendant. The portions were basic, the food was mediocre ,we paid extra for sauce.for 15 dollars I could have purchased half of an entire Burger King. I was excited at the notion of Canes having local competition. That excitement is over. Chick-fil-A here I come! At least they have soup and smiling customer service that is prompt and pleasant.
