I placed a mobile order that said it would be ready to go at 7:53 pm. I got to the pickup spot at 7:50, put in my number, then proceeded to sit and wait. At 8:25 pm, the app was still reading my order as received, so I decided to go in and check. The cashier went and looked for my order and eventually found it. The entire time that she was looking for it, I could hear the other staff members griping and complaining about how they "didn't see me sitting there" even though someone else had pulled up and gotten their order as I was sitting in the parking spot. When my food was given to me, all I received was cold, soggy food and an excuse of "there are only 6 of us working tonight." Mind you, there were only 2 patrons in the store eating and I counted 13 other vehicles who went through the drive through, ordered, and got their food. read more

The service is usually pretty decent, I wouldn't say exceptional, just feels very neutral sometimes leaning towards friendly. On the other hand, the food is so hit or miss. It can be the the chicken tenders being overcooked and mega salty, the wings being bland, dry, or overcooked, and the fries being overcooked and underseasoned or overseasoned. The toast is also super salty at times too. Today, my food was extremely salty, everything was salty this time. The wings and everything were so average. It was actually my worst experience that I had to write a review. This was the best Zaxbys in my opinion too, especially when comparing it to West Broad, but this place was an ultimate miss today. I ordered two salads with lite vinaigrette and extra dressing and was given ranch dressing, and I also ordered two large sweet teas which were unsweetened. The order was repeated back was correct. They were fast but not efficient. If I could give this location zero stars I would. I called the restaurant and was told I could come back and get the correct dressing, and I had worked 12 hours.This was before we tasted the teas that were unsweetened. On July 12 our school had an event for 65 people that we had done an online order for a couple days prior. My team had inadvertently not put the payment info in timely. When we realized it, there was no option for reordering on-line. The morning of the 12th I called corporate and spoke with Ryan Blackwell. Ryan contacted the Epps Bridge location. Joe, the general manager, had 65 meals prepared and ready for me to pick up at 5 pm. I arrived at 4:45. The order was ready, hot, and he already had three employees on standby to help me get everything to my car. THIS kind of customer service is exactly why we love Zaxby's. This was my first Zaxby's experience! While in the south, I want to try out as much fried chicken as I possibly can, because I love it. So I'm a fan, but not a huge fan. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up in these parts and need to try Zaxby's a few more times until I figure out what my Zaxby's passion is. Here's what I will say: the chicken in the sliders I ordered was hot and just-cooked fresh. I probably should've just ordered the chicken strips instead - next time I'll know. Had lunch at Zaxby's at Epps Bridge yesterday. Ordered the Zensation Salad because it's usually quite yummy. There wasn't an ounce of chicken on the salad and it was cut up into tiny little pieces, smaller than the size of a pea. The egg roll was cold and soggy. Very disappointed. I visit this Zaxby's drive-thru location fairly often and it's usually really good but occasionally it's just plain gross. I've only gone inside a few times and the floor is always slippery from grease and oil! I don't understood why there hasn't been multiple slip and fall cases in the news! With all that said, the single most frustrating issue that I have with this location is the incredibly slow drive-thru!! There's absolutely no reason for this location to be so darn SLOW . The excessive wait times are created by Poor Management and lack of preparedness since they appear to have plenty of help. I noticed that the location on Gains School Rd. has really sped up their drive-thru time. I asked the woman at the window how they became so much faster and she told me that they had acquired and implemented a timer device for the window. It's been working great! But I want to take this opportunity to caution everyone about the KFC on Gains School Rd... Be Ware! It's managed and operated by the most ignorant people on the planet. They will eventually cause that location to close down. The food is nasty and the service is just as bad! read more

Inside there are never any clean tables, feels crowded with too many chairs and the food seems like it was cooked yesterday. This zaxbys needs management badly.
