So I'm giving 5 stars bc it's a great place to take the kids, but def some hiccups. For example, you can't call, the number listed is 800 to the business office. However, great parking, they were really friendly once arrived. There are small lockers for valuables, party rooms, and the place is pretty big and can accommodate a lot of people. Was looking for a fun indoor place to take my youngest (9 years old) to burn off some energy. Did a search and Zavazone popped up. I purchased the tickets online for the time slot that we wanted to go. You can buy tickets for 1-3 hour admissions. It was a Saturday and we got there around 1:30pm and there were a lot of kids there and a few parties going on. My daughters don't like places that are too crowded but inside there were lots of different sections and we found an area that we could jump around. Inside there were a number of areas that included dodge ball, trampolines, ninja courses, basketball and others. My daughter and I particularly enjoyed the battle beam area where you stand on the beam and try to knock the other off. She was not into the ninja courses so we did not try that. There is lots to do here. If you have been to an Urban Air location, it's a scaled down version of that. We did find that the place started to clear out around 2:30-3pm. The only downside is parking is limited. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend. read more

To help celebrate our daughter's seventh birthday, we booked three tickets for two hours at ZavaZone to use the ropes course. It cost well over $100, but we had a blast. However, our daughter was not tall enough to do the ropes course (kids have to be at least 52 inches tall), so that was a bummer. Their website doesn't clearly note that so if you book tickets purely for the ropes course like we did, be warned. Despite the ropes course hiccup, we had a blast. There are lots of trampolines for jumping, basketball, dodgeball, and more. There's a ninja course, a parkour course, rock climbing, and other equipment. There are lockers for rent or free cubby holes for shoes. Hand sanitizer stations are throughout and a "Parents Zone" on the upper floor. There's a small store with snacks and a strategically placed ice cream freezer at the end of the Ninja course. The parking lot outside if large and free. read more

Fun place for kids to go nuts for a bit without needing much parental supervision. I've been here 3-4 times for kids' birthday parties, but (full disclosure) have no idea how much it costs to come here or host a birthday party here since I've only ever come for other people's things. The space is huge and roughly split in half with one half being trampoline areas to play dodgeball or jump around and the other half being varying kinds of obstacle courses at varying heights (including one challenge course that runs way overhead). There's also a few climbing walls including one that's inside a darkened tower. Overall, it's a fun place that mostly keeps the kids entertained on their own for 1.5--2 hours. The biggest downsides are that it doesn't quite feel like I can just let my kids run wild with no supervision and there's a few places that have the kids begging to get more money, e.g., a boxing/soccer arcade machine, the hurricane wind machine, and snack bar. read more

I would not even give one star! My 7 year old Grandson went with KAH and the harness was put on so tight he has a huge bruise on his butt and thigh. The employee should be fired!!! Highly recommend. It is well organized with climbing activities in one area and the trampoline area on the other side. There are sitting areas for caregivers in various areas in addition they have a parent xone which is an entire room with wifi, tvs and comfortable seating (this area is normally quiet and kid free). It's sometimes really crowded and this is a big birthday celebration location however if you ask ahead they will tell you the best time to come when it's low traffic. read more

Zava Zone rockville was such a disappointment in hosting my daughter's birthday. I spent over a $1000 to have my children, her friends and family be kick out by the manager from the party room because they were running behind from their pervious party, and trying to setup for another party. It started with the room being behind and unavailable for about an hour. Then I was finally able to setup for my daughter's birthday with her decorations, but then the food I order from Zava Zone was behind too. They delivered the food so late that they insisted the children eat their pizza and cake at the same time without the opportunity of singing my child Happy Birthday. What follow was the worst, a group of about 5 staff members showed up and tore down my decorations, took plates with food and cake away from children while they were still eating and threw it all in the trash. The parents of the children were mortified, they couldn't believe the manager and staff would do such a thing. The staff and manager at Zava Zone Rockville are terrible. Save yourself the disappointment and don't host any parties here. In addition, the staff on the second floor, where the rope climd is, kept talking in front of the kids about, how if a child got injured they didn't care because it was not their responsibility. Everyone was having a good time, all until we were done with the cake, when few staff members came in, and rushed everyone out. They took decorations down, wrapped table cloths, and grabbed plates out of kids hands while the kids were still eating. We went to ZavaZone in Rockville for the first time today to attend a Birthday Party. My first thought was, this place looks so new and clean. It truly was clean and unlike other places we have been It didn't have that awful foot aroma in the air. My daughter loved the obstacle courses. She was too short to go upstairs and climb and that was fine. She loved being lifted up and sliding down the wall. We will definitely be back. Employees are masked, although patrons have an option to wear masks or not. We had our seven-year-old's birthday party, which was easy to book. When we arrived, they were ready for us and we had an assigned staff member just for our party. Jason was amazing! And Michelle, the manager on duty, oversaw operations for our 1 pm Sunday time. No matter how much your kids beg, don't take them to ZavaZone! At least not on a Saturday afternoon. First, you get shuttled over to giant computers with an incredibly frustrating interface (I assume to prepare you for what's to come) to sign their "waiver" - a convenient scheme to capture all your personal information. Next you snake through a claustrophobic line to the ticket counter where you get a wristband. Then you and your kids are unleashed into a giant, screaming swarm of children literally bouncing off the walls. Don't do it! (Other notes: There's a concession stand that charges $4 for a small water and tiny bag of chips. If you opt for a pizza party, a staff member will stand in the room and count down every five minutes of your reservation, telling you and your birthday boy or girl that you need to leave in 20 minutes, 10 minutes, five minutes, one minute...This is likely the only time you'll see a staff member after check-in. This is a pre-COVID review: I went once with a nephew and we all really enjoyed the experience. The place seems pretty clean for a bunch of kids running around and there seems to be a good level of supervision all around. Kind of sucks they make you buy the grippy socks but hey, it isn't the worse thing I suppose. There are a lot of activities fit for most kids 5 or older. The setting is a lot more involved than just trampoline parks as more than half of the facility has to do with obstacle courses. So it's a lot more interesting. However, the staff by and large are way below par. The staff responsible for my niece's birthday party was very low key and unenthused. I don't know why she even took on the hostess job. Same with most of the staff manning various obstacle courses, reminding me of the temp workers on dead beat ad hoc amusement parks. They need to train the staff and rally up their attitudes. The dodge balls are too soft and they were too easy to catch and there went half of the fun. I did leave sweaty and exhausted, and with brush burns on both of my knees. We were party guests and had a nice time at the party. I was thinking - hmm this is a nice place for a party, since it was our first time. At the end, while the parents were cleaning up, many of the kids ran off to the activities for one last go before we left. My 5 year old daughter comes back to me crying, saying "that lady was mean to me". I went over to the woman she was indicating, to ask what had happened. Apparently there were a few kids, including my daughter, who wanted to play. She let in the others, and told my daughter that she could not play anymore. The way she said it caused her to burst into tears, especially since the other girls were allowed and she was not. I tried to explain that a 5 year old would not understand that she was over her wrist band time , and perhaps she could have just explained that to her nicely. She waved her schedule at me and rudely said, her time is up, and walked away with an attitude, while I was mid-sentence. I was not contesting that it was a few minutes past our wristband expiration time, nor was I asking for my daughter to be allowed on the activity. I was disappointed that she was that rude to a 5 year old, bringing her to the point of tears, and was rude and dismissive towards me, when I politely asked her what had happened. There are several reviews here citing the demeanor, attentiveness, and poor customer service of some staff members. Perhaps management might want to invest in some kid-specific customer service training for the staff. read more

This place is tons of fun for kids and adults alike. The top floor is one big ropes course with an 'easy' side and a 'hard' side; each side has about a dozen different obstacles (e.g., zip line, tight rope, rope ladder bridge, ball pit). While the 'easy' side was pretty easy (but still fun), some of the obstacles on the 'hard' side were really challenging, and gave us a good workout. Word of advice: Bring gloves so that your hands don't blister or burn from the ropes. The bottom floor has a large trampoline area with a foam pit, basketball hoops, and dodgeball (similar to most other indoor trampoline parks), plus a bungee trampoline, several rock climbing walls, a timed parkour course, a ninja warrior course with 12 different (and very challenging) obstacles, and a few other things. There was a short wait for some of the activities, but the employees did a good job of maintaining order and keeping things moving. (Plus we didn't mind taking a short breather between each one.) We skipped the trampoline area, but we were able to do nearly everything else in the two hours we were there, at a cost of $34/person. So it's a little pricey, but worth the cost for a fun, unique, and challenging workout with friends. I'm already planning to go back. read more

Took my kids(5 and 7) here on a Saturday afternoon and it was insane. Since you have to make a reservation online I was hoping there would be some kind of crowd control but there's none whatsoever. I'm surprised my kids came out without bruises or scratches. There are packs of kids running wild. The trampoline section was overflowing with people and I saw so many times that kids and adults narrowly miss each other while they're jumping. There's a whole other 'obstacle section' on the top level that looks pretty fun and also less crowded since there's an age limit. I would come back here to try it out without my kids if I had the opportunity. I like the design of the place - it definitely has a lot more things to do than other similar type of gym/trampoline type of places I've been too. There are a few rock climbing stations, different types of obstacle courses. But the cost is not cheap - $20/per person for an hour. There are employees on the floor keeping an eye on things and putting harness on. They're friendly but they don't really have a lot of control over some of the older kids that were cutting in line or saying mean things. I would say this place is more for age 9 or 10 and up given some of the language being used by the older kids and the roughness of the play. Also if they can exercise some crowd control and not cram in as many people as they can the experience would definitely be better. read more

Very fun experience for kids. They have things for the super adventurous to the less adventurous. Plenty of seats for parents on the main floor. There are only two negatives. One is the cost. It's not cheap. Two the parent zone area doesn't have seating that looks easily onto the space. Definitely a great place to burn off some energy in your wiggly kids. read more
