I've always loved shopping both online and in person at Zara. But now they really have a customer for life! I purchased a few items at the Alderwood Mall Lynnwood Store on 4/6/24 and paid with a gift card I had received. Was chatting with the gal behind the counter about the weather we were having. Left store and got home and my gift card was missing. I know it still had a balance, and was bummed that I didn't get it back. I totally figured that probably someone else would use it and thought it was lost. I decided to go to the mall on 5/2/24 and checked with a few ladies behind the counter and they referred me to the manager on duty. I had my original receipt with the gift card used and its remaining balance on it. She left the counter and went in the back, and several minutes later came back with my gift card! I was so pleasantly shocked! I was impressed that there were honest employees working there! Thank you so much, it wasn't the balance amount, but the fact that I received it back! This speaks volumes about management and training and customer service and satisfaction! You are all the best!! read more

What happened to Zara? This would be an in depth thesis question! I used to shop in Europe and Zara was the IT clothing spot for fancy, classy, and timeless staples. Made in Italy, Spain and Portugal the clothing was well tailored and fit a 32/30 general male physique. When Zara opened in Vancouver it was more boutique like and slightly pricier and the quality was good. This was before COS and other European brands making their way to the States. I shopped at Zara during the latter half of 2010 - 2018 quite regularly and the website was eye catching, the blazers on sale were $39, and the quality was good. You could still find made in Europe clothing and the production seemed to transition to Bangladesh, Vietnam and other countries. As of late, the quality before pandemic is garbage. The clothing unravels after hanging it in a rack, the fabric is cheap, and the material appears to be of the lowest quality. The Westlake and Bellevue locations appear like outlets with rejected clothing from 5 seasons ago and little change with new or updated fashion. It's like a European Ross evoking a European douche bag at the club with skinny jeans, frayed pants, Zara shirt and cologne. Staff are still pretty snooty and don't often help. Maybe one staff will but it's rare. They seem too busy folding clothing that isn't selling. Really sad. read more

The way the employees conducted themselves in the mall surveillance videos and body cam footage that is now being circulated on several social media platforms was disgusting. I'm sorry for the women they harassed in the middle of the mall and proceeded to then chase her to her car. Personally enjoy the Zara brand but this locations behavior was cruel and scary to be frank. FOUR employees chased that woman. They accused her of a crime she did not commit and then lied about the details. It was chaotic, completely unnecessary and not justifiable. Also against the company policies. Their job is not to hunt down people or place their hands on them. Thankfully the mall cameras tell the real story. I hope that woman is ok. read more

It's hard not to interpret this kind of behavior as racial profiling. No customer should feel targeted or unwelcome while simply trying to shop. Retail spaces should be inclusive and respectful to everyone, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I hope management takes this seriously and fires the staff at this location. read more

I ordered online and picked up at this store, today 12/19/25 . They sent the wrong item so I attempted to return it while in the store with the QR code and receipt. They absolutely would not do it. Said I had to do it through customer service 855 number. it says right on the Fed Ex label that I can return it at the store. I also called and confirmed this. With all that the pandemic brought us, once stores started to open again with safe precautions, I dearly miss having a little retail therapy in my life. Talk about taking the joy out though. I don't think I'll be shopping here again for awhile. It's about a 45 minute drive for me to get here, and then not being able to try anything on? So I just hold something up on front of my body and gaze in the mirror and say...ho hum. Hope it fits!! They have directional one one in, and a different way out, and the first store section is closed. They are out of the cuter things in my size and even the next size up. You would think if you couldn't try anything on they would at least replenish those sizes..... There are partitions in front of the registers, but no one to tell the jerk behind you with his mask not even covering the correct area and it basically touching you (hello, six feet A..clown you know what) to stand away. Clearly the circles on the floor don't work. Thankfully they have a 30 day return policy (with receipt, tags attached, and unworn). Who wears clothes with tags attached? People that don't get itchy? Um, ew gross, but I guess people do it. So I bought a couple cute things, but a small is just not a small is just not a small. One pair of tweed shorts in the back/skirt (party) in the front, and a small size romper. One fits on the rear, the other has a stuck zipper (only when you get home to try it on of course). Still, their fitting rooms are closed. WHY?? They have like 10 staff members folding clothes and just walking around the stores. The last time I asked the cashier will it be OK if my daughter tries the jeans in the public bathroom in the food court and if it doesn't fit her can we return it? He said yes!. I don't know why will they prefer for use to try the clothes in a stinky public bathroom instead of opening the fitting rooms. Ridiculous! He also suggested for us to go to another store and try the clothes. I could not believe it. I was not going to do that so we went to the public bathroom. We had to return it because it did not fit her but at least we were there and did not have to return it all the way back. Also, when we buy clothes more than half of the customers are returning clothes. I don't know why they don't put a self-checkout. Blah. read more

This is a new store in Alderwood Mall, Lynnwood. Today is my consecutive second day I'm coming here. One reason I'm off only these two days. :) I'm really impressed with the customer service and style and quality of the clothes. They have Men's, ladies and kids section. I really like to mention Ariana she was amazing in helping us to find what exactly we want and if you have employees like Ariana and something different compare to other clothing stores it means you made it. I definitely recommend all of my friends and family to visit this store. read more

Drove over 30 minutes to return ONE item. Got there at 6:58 to see that they have a paper sign saying they're closing at 7 (supposed to be at 8). The doors were already locked with people still inside, so I asked a woman working there if I could just return this one thing since I work during the day and drove all the way there. It wasn't even 7 yet and she gave me a very rude no and said that they're already closed?? I understand the staffing shortages, etc. but there was no need for her to be so rude about it, and it wasn't even 7 yet. What do you expect people to do when your fitting rooms aren't open, you have a short window to return, and people who have full time jobs can't get there before you close early? Zara Alderwood -- OPEN YOUR DRESSING ROOMS. Zara sizing is crazy, so trying on items is essential. The Alderwood store has a decent selection, but their dressing rooms are consistently closed. Boooo! Nice large 3 section clean store with some cute clothes. Customer service lacked big time! Walked in and looked around trying to find a shirt for my son. Couldn't find what I was looking for and found myself standing in the middle of the store looking around in circles. At one point I noticed an employee standing close by to me looking at his cell phone. He looked up at me and went back to his phone without asking if I needed anything. Finally found what I was looking for. Went up to the bay of registers and saw "register closed" signs on 2 out of the 3 registers. I had seen 3 or 4 employees in the section taking care of folding clothes on tables or hanging some stuff up on racks and looking at cell phone. No one acknowledged me. I finally saw another employee, a female who had walked by and close to the registers so I asked if the one register was open. She hardly responded but then when she did (in a non friendly demeanor) she pointed to the signs and told me they were closed and I should go next door to find open registers. I questioned it and pointed to the register that didn't have the closed sign and asked if it was open. I also mentioned that the line next door was super long. She just stared at me and didn't move any closer to the register as I had hoped for. It seemed as if she scoffed at me under her mask. Oh wait, maybe that was me since I was now irritated. Had I not needed the specific shirt for my son for a specific reason I would have not waited in line and left without purchasing anything. My interaction with the staff here was meh to say the least. Horrible customer service. No one at the counter. Not thorough at explaining orders. Placed an order in store a week ago and no email updates. Just called in store only to be put on hold for ten minutes and then hung up on. I have contacted the online customer service and my order hasn't even left the warehouse, in a week?! Wow beware of ordering from here. I've bought plenty in store with no trouble but I'll NEVER place another order. *** update*** within 48 hours I was contacted via phone and email about my order being escalated, and then was promised the order would be delivered in two days. Not sure if this was truly a restocking issue as they claim or if something was slow in the processing of my original order. Either way, customer service on the corporate end meets my expectations. Giving it a fourth star as I do like the clothes, good prices for the quality. And my issue was handled. read more

I love the layout of the Lynnwood Zara. It's not overwhelming like other locations. Usually very clean and organized. The issue lies in the staffing of the store. The dressing room is NEVER open (when I shop or come by when I'm in the mall, probably about 7 times a month or so.) This leads to having to buy items, take them home, try them on and then ultimately returning most items. Then when returning, and or buying, the lines are almost out the door because there's low staffing/slowness or there's so many people to return items they couldn't try on in store. Not to mention how FREEZING cold it is. It's December and snowing, and the store has AC blasting. I feel terrible for the staff and customera. There would be way more success in this store if dressing rooms were open and the AC was turned off! Also didn't have my receipt on me but paid with a card within the last week (because I couldn't try it on in store) and they can't help you whatsoever without a reciept, employee told me to contact corporate for a new receipt.... Why can't this store look up purchases just like any other retail store in the mall?! So over it. Will not be back read more

I love the product here but the customer service is just middle of the road. There aren't associates on the floor to help you and they aren't great about restocking on the weekend. If you need them to check backstock for something you're best off asking the fitting room attendant to check for you. The fitting rooms are bright and the general modern layout of the store makes it easy to shop. Unfortunately it being a mall store location makes it lose its high end charm that Zara once had in NYC and abroad in Europe in its standalone storefronts. They didn't have many purses in sections with outfits and shoes and they must have gotten rid of their folded basics that once sat on the shelves. It doesn't quite feel as organized as it once was in terms of the company as a whole. Fortunately there is online ordering for anything you can't find in store! read more

Employees act as if us, as customers, are an inconvenience. They provide zero help when asked, they wander around around the store doing who knows what. Fitting rooms might as well be permanently closed. Why? There are 50 workers just aimlessly walking around.. can no one just open the fitting rooms? The very unhelpful store woman with terrible attitude told me to change on the floor... with 20 other people around. Sure! My daughter purchased a shirt from the Alderwood store she was charged 2$ more then the tag on the shirt, she didn't realize it until she got home, we went to the store few days later they refused to give us credit back their excuse was we didn't have the shirt with us, even though we had the receipt and the tag from the shirt showing the price, still the manager refused to give us the 2$ back and requested that we bring the shirt in order for us to get the credit back, I came home and called the customer service a lady answered and I can hear her kids screaming and yelling in the background she listened to me and as I was speaking she put me on hold and about 5 minutes later we lost the line. Cute 'fast fashion' (read: knockoff of high end brands), at ok prices. (If the quality was better - or at least consistent - the prices would be easier to handle.) The biggest downside - and real reason for 3-stars - is the people. Primarily because there's usually 3 people working across what's essentially three GIANT stores... forget about getting help. The salespeople also usually seem more concerned with looking good rather than even having a conversation, let along offering help. Then when you're ready to pay - whether it's a Monday morning or Saturday afternoon - there's always one cashier and a line. (Actually there's always someone else behind the register Rea, they're just busy chatting about their weekend or complaining about breaks, etc and don't seem to be able to see the 13 people in line. read more

Bought a pair of shorts with a hundred dollar bill. Ended up getting $66.96 back in cash but I noticed the $50 bill looked suspicious. I work at a staples and ran it through the one of our scanners, and sure enough it was fake. I called them and they told me they can't do anything about it. This is ridiculous considering I got the bill from them and I'm just out $50 while they lose nothing! read more

The store manager and the employees on the phone were very rude. When I went inside the store, all of the employees just walked passed me... no customer service at all. I bought a blouse and when I was washing it I found a lipstick stain inside. I don't wear lipstick, so I'm not sure why it wasn't at least marked down for the damage to the material. I went back to ask if I could get a refund and they told me that I couldn't return it for the lipstick stain that was probably caused by someone else try it on. Poor business. read more

Out of all the Zara's I have shopped at, this is the only Zara I have had the most exceptional customer service at. Sara was beautiful and so so helpful. Right from the beginning she asked me if I needed help, which I did. I was looking for an outfit for a graduation party and she made sure I left the story with everything I needed. She even helped me decide which outfit looked better on me!! The store is extremely clean and everyone was so genuine. Thank you Sara, for showing me what true customer service should be!! read more

I hate to give bad reviews, I really do. Especially because I also have worked in retail so I get that it can be tough. However, the cashier who helped me was another level of rude. I asked him to tell me the total of my items before I purchased them, and he looked incredibly inconvenienced and annoyed. Then he proceeded to add up my items using a calculator, which prompted his colleague to ask what he was doing. He replied by rolling his eyes and saying, "She wanted me to calculate her total before ringing it up." And then scoffed, as if I wasn't standing right in front of him. He could tell I was upset, and so he asked his colleague if he "could take over this one" and just left without saying anything else. I told his colleague about the exchange and how it was beyond unprofessional and downright rude, and his excuse was that the original cashier "never rings people up, so he was nervous." Zara, please train your employees better on professionalism and courteous behaviour with clients because judging from these reviews I'm clearly not the only one having similar experiences. read more

This Zara store really needs to train their employees much much more on how to work professionally. I used to work in retail before and am currently work in customer service field so I know the struggles. But these guys are just so rude and ill-mannered. In my sevetal times returning my online orders or purchasing at this store, the cashiers didn't greet me even though I always said hello to them first. They keep showing their you'd-better-get-out-of-here face. They didn't even look at my face during the transactions, instead just busy chatting among themselves though a lot of customers waiting in line, especially that one Indian lookalike guy.
