Lively bar and Mexican restaurant. Located next to the brewery. The food is mostly Mexican but there is also bar food like pizza, hot wings, and mozzarella sticks. Popular with locals. Great cocktails and beer selection! Staff is friendly and some speak English. You can also order delivery from Uber Eats.

The food and environment was good but the service was slow. I would recommend and would come back and give the service a second chance.

I only stopped in here drinks as part of a good and drink tour but I can assure you they have good drinks and a really nice space. Cool bar that will take you back in time a few years. Well worth the visit.

This is a fantastic new bar/restaurant located next door to Los Muertos Brewing. Large with plenty of fans to keep you cool in one of the most popular streets in Old Town. Plenty of art to keep your eyes busy, as well as TVs to watch the latest soccer game. I ended up here on a Vallarta Eats Mex-Ology tour, where the focus is tequila, mezcal, and raicilla. This was the 2nd stop. We were greeted with Palomas in clay pot cups. Then we tried a fantastic mezcal accompanied by ground worm with chile powder to dip your orange into followed by a dried cricket. It was an experience for sure! Everything was absolutely delicious and I would love to go back and try their food!

Bar La Playa is a MUST first-stop when visiting Zona Romantica…read more On our most recent trip to Puerto Vallarta, we wanted to spend a day in this part of the region. After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.

They use tanqueray as their house gin which is unusual but a pleasant surprise as it actually happens to be my preferred brand. I didn't have high hopes for the martini - I find that outside of major U.S. cities places end up putting in way too much vermouth - and it actually ended up being fantastic. It didn't taste too different from what I would make at home which is probably the best thing I could say about a martini (for my own personal taste). I tried a fruitier one - the Gigi - as my second and final drink. It was good but I'm just not a fruity drink person. I just wasn't equipped to handle another standard martini lol. The ambiance is phenomenal - it was both casual and comfortable yet classy. The crowd was much older than I expected although not in a bad way at all. There were lots of expats in their 50s and 60s. I was worried it would be a rowdy rooftop and by contrast it was actually a very chill vibe. Only complaint is that the bathroom is outside of the venue down the stairs and you need a key to enter, which was a bit annoying bc I wanted to use the restroom before I left and I forgot to ask for the key on my way out. Small annoyance and certainly wouldn't prevent me from going back.

The drinks are reasonable, but unlike Mr. Flamingos and a few other places they do charge a cover to get in on most nights. It's multileveled which can be fun especially with great music, dancers and drag performers in abundance. People are pretty friendly here, but not the most welcoming to everyone. They were pretty nice to us, just a touch rude to another group of patrons from what I saw while we were here - at least at the door. The bartenders are fun. The music is epic. High energy. Outside patio area is gorgeous. We didn't stay here long at all. We just didn't vibe with this hot spot as much as other places, but still a great place. And overall (at least in my opinion) it's not AS feel good as neighboring LGBTQ+ spots in PV. That said they have some great events, beautiful dancers and great club lighting.

You'll find people engaged in all sorts of activities ....eating, drinking, dancing, and socializing. Andale is the place to have a great time. Today, for some reason, the restaurants and bars on the street seemed less crowded. It was a Wednesday night when we finally stepped foot into Andale's. We ordered margaritas, shots of anejo tequila, and a beverage; we had already had dinner elsewhere. The DJ was playing a mix of 90s R&B, reggaeton, country, and pop music, and the whistle blowing from the staff added to the lively and exciting atmosphere. I must admit, though, the loud whistle blowing now and then annoyed me, I managed to drown it out somehow. If you plan to visit Andale, expect fun and lively atmosphere with plenty of staff ready to serve you.

I had a place in mind,…read morebut it wasn't open yet, so I kept wandering... and that's when I passed right through Andale's. The sidewalk actually runs right between their outdoor seating and the entrance, so you can't help but notice it. It looked relaxed, not too busy, and the staff greeted me as I walked by. I took a quick look at the menu, spotted my favorite tacos, and that was all I needed--I stayed. I asked to sit outside since it was such a beautiful day, with a gentle breeze coming through. Perfect setting. I ordered a beer, some guacamole and chips to start, and the al pastor plate. The guacamole was a great portion--easily enough for two--and I loved that it was chunky with a nice texture and "bite" to it. It came with chips and salsa, making it a solid starter. Then came the al pastor tacos... so good. At first glance, I didn't see any pineapple and thought, wait a minute... but once I took a bite, I realized it was mixed in with the meat--little bits of sweetness tucked into the savory, slightly charred pork. That balance of flavors really brought it together. Service was friendly and attentive, and I noticed a few regulars stopping by and chatting with the staff. That's always a great sign--it tells you this place has a real connection with the people who come here often. Overall, great food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. I'd definitely come back again.
