This review is from a young boy's 9th birthday party we attended mid- February…read more Overall, clean. Severely understaffed. We had to pay $7-8 extra just to utilize the trampoline which we had to request and wait for them to unlock, more than once, because they didn't have enough staff to supervise. It's annoying to pay extra and then have to repeatedly request to use the said item we paid extra for. The manager, James, was rude. Some of the kids at the party took cups from the wrong table and he let us know. My friend offered to pay the deficit, but eventually he relented and did not charge her. I was annoyed by his attitude that we owe some business money when the table wasn't supervised by staff, when we didn't realize the kids took from the wrong table, and when these stupid plastic cups probably cost the company less than 10 cents each! I spoke up, saying something like, "I don't think it's fair you're holding the customer responsible for a misunderstanding." He got angry and accused me of wanting something for nothing. This is after I PAID EXTRA to utilize equipment they were being stingy with. I was so pissed and was going to complain to the manager... but he WAS the manager. An employee, Sarah, saved the day by being an amazing worker and leading the kids in song and dance. She was kind, energetic and a breath of fresh air after dealing with James stifling personality. Sarah is the sole reason this is not a one star review. The food was gross. Kids didn't really eat the pizza. I went to use the bathroom and saw that Chuck E. Cheese was hiring for up to $11.50 per hour. No wonder James was ungodly worried about the cups. The company can't afford to pay him a living wage. How could they ever recoup a 3 plastic cup loss? I have no interest in ever patronizing Chuck E. Cheese again. The food is gross. The manager was awful, and the company doesn't pay employees enough to deal with the headache of sugar crazed, screaming kids. Hard pass.

There were a few video games for older kids (ages 5-12) with plenty of games for younger kids. A little bit too expensive for what it is but that's to be expected. Overall good experience.

There are fewer barriers, so visitors can get much closer to the aircraft. The enormous size of the F-14 is especially impressive when compared with the F-18 or older A-4. One volunteer shared some negative comments about museum leadership and mentioned that another volunteer had sprayed cleaning chemicals inside the F-117A bomb bay door, which reportedly smeared some of the signatures preserved there. This felt more like an internal museum matter than part of the visitor experience. The sci-fi and Alien exhibits also seemed somewhat separate from the museum's core aviation focus. Overall, the aircraft collection is excellent. Seeing the F-117A was a major highlight, and being able to walk right up to the very rare SR-71B made the visit especially worthwhile.

I love how knowledgeable the staff was and how accommodating people were when we had a variety of ages of children. We always love coming to the zoo and I can rest easy that the staff is always very helpful and accommodating. My only criticism would be that we have some significant in anaphylactic allergens and the staff at Kitty Hawk Café didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about allergens and cross contamination, so we didn't feel safe at all getting any food there. I highly recommend bringing a cooler and leaving it in your car if you have allergies.

While any given game usually is easy to find, sometimes the collectables, like pops or tshirts, will vary so I always stop in to check if they have as much Bob's Burgers merch as I found when in a Grand Rapids location. This location didn't have Bob's Burgers stuff but they did have lots of POP! figures which my husband instantly gravitated towards, like the Earth to the Sun. The employee on duty the day we came in was super chill and talking to us about the current sales going on and basic conversation about our travels. This is definitely a decent Gamestop that I could see being someone's go to Gamestop. I'd give it an average 3/5 just because they didn't have any Bob's Burgers stuff at all.

Even if you're not really looking to buy something that day. It's always fun to window shop, make a mental list of things that caught your eye, and plan another trip next time. We went in today to kill some time and ended up finding a really awesome deal on previously owned games. Currently 3 for $15 dollars and tax of course. I was extremely happy to find a game I hadn't played yet, due to me not having enough money when it came out (and I forgot about it), along with two others right in that bin. if you're not looking for games, no worries. Plenty of shirts, plushes, and gear. The only thing I'm disappointed in was, waiting at the counter for the reps who were right in front of me to actually help me. It almost made me put what I had down and leave. But hey, that's what speaking up is for. When we were finally checked out, they apologized for the wait. As another customer was speaking to them...even though I was in front of them. Anywho, I still love the deals, that's not gonna change.

They love to chit chat and are into a lot of esoteric things. That is the charm of these mom and pop shops-- you get to know the people. The downside is the overall goals for the store are overly ambitious for the couple and others in the area are doing it better. There are a lot of arcade machines inside, broken, collecting dust, while other businesses such as an arcade in Paw Paw is set to open, and there is an expanded Beercade in downtown Kalamazoo with more arcade games and pinball machines. In terms of their product, often it is priced high while the condition of it is quite low. I've bought multiple disk games that didn't work. Some were too scratched to play or the disks were warped. I tried to have them repaired but they were too far gone. In short, products aren't tested at all or not thoroughly. Some handhelds have faulty electronics, bad speakers, and other problems that don't justify their price. Often, they are priced higher than ones in a better condition on eBay. As much as I want to recommend Treasure Quest because it's a mom and pop shop, I can't. The products they have don't justify the price and the overall condition of many of the items are below average.

Even so, this is a local business that would be cool to support as the owner once told me he would like to make an arcade. Imagine having Kazoo Books and a vintage game store and arcade right in one area. Id love it if the owner got motivated in cleaning up the store, more fair with the pricing, and better hours. If he has a dream Im sure there are enough retro heads in Kalamazoo that would love to support a space like this. Its just the main thing is that its too expensive and has strange hours.
