I called to see if my son could bring his own popcorn because he has a medical diagnosis of celiac disease. This means he cannot tolerate ANY gluten or he gets VERY sick. It also means that foods from public places can easily be cross contaminated with trace amounts of gluten as few people understand how to handle food for someone with celiac disease. I asked if we could bring his own popcorn and they adamantly told me there is no outside food allowed with no exceptions for medical reason. The woman I spoke with was not at all empathetic to my child's medically required dietary restrictions. read more

This may be the best theater I've ever been to. I'm almost reluctant to leave a review as to not blow up my new movie-going spot but this place deserves more recognition for the prices, customer service, quality and variety. This theater is one of the best examples of not judging a book by its cover, not to talk down to the exterior of the theater but it doesn't look much like a theatre from the outside. Not to mention the entrance to the theater is in the back of the building. To be honest, I actually wonder if it was even a movie theater to begin with but the inside tells a different story. Before even walking inside, you are greeted with a sign of movies and showtimes available that day in the window next to the entrance. When you walk in, there is a staircase leading down the concession area as well as a ramp for handicap accessibility. There are many snack, drink, candy and food options available at a great price that matches the price of your ticket. I got one ticket and the hot dog combo that came with a hot dog, medium drink and small popcorn and I only paid $12...that's basically the price I pay for one ticket at a big name theater. Not the mention the quality is great for how much you pay if not more so. If you have a large group of people who want to see a movie, this place has you covered. I also wanted to mention something that impressed me more than anything else, the fact that they're open every day of the week and offer the latest movies. I went on a Thursday and saw 'A Minecraft Movie'. There were more recent titles than that one but I was surprised at just how many showtimes for just how many movies they offered daily. I believe there were 7-8 movies being offered the day I went, one of which being a 3D version of 'A Minecraft Movie' which I didn't opt for, but was still impressed they offered it regardless. This may not be the fanciest theater you've ever been to but it's perfect if you want to enjoy a classic theater experience without breaking the bank while seeing some of the latest titles in theaters. No recliners like a lot have become accustomed to but the chairs were very comfortable to me and even rocked a bit which is nice for someone like me who has trouble sitting still! Also wanted to say the staff was incredibly friendly, I can tell whoever runs this place loves movies just as much as I do so that will keep me coming back. Only complaint I have is the lack of movie theater butter and the lighting in the auditorium, had some trouble finding my seat with the dim lighting and the previews hadn't even started yet. I think even little light strips on the ground would be super helpful! There's so much more I could say but I'll leave it or my next review when I return! If I could give this place no stars I would. Me and my friend, Hayden went to the theater to watch the movie Goat. When the employee who was at the counter was snarky and pretty much sassy the whole interaction. Not to mention the popcorn was stale, I liked how it is self serve unlike the other theater in Battle Creek but I rather have better quality than the lack of. I dislike the green interior. The whole place is a dump. How cheap and wack it is shouldn't make people lower their standards. You think it ends there with the experience. well your wrong. As the movie started (which had so many ads), kids sneaked it. How we know that they sneaked in was because they were giggling and had no adult when they were 7-10 years old. Which I don't mind, because that is on the parents but they shouldn't be letting literally adolescents who don't even know how to spell adolescents in the theater. read more

I grew up in this theater and was sad to hear of its closing. Recently, its purchase by new owners and re-opening was great news. Currently, it's s great theater. Brand new, comfy, seating. New sounds systems. Everything redone and updated. Shows newly released films and has a great concession counter. At my last visit, there was a misunderstanding while ordering tickets and snacks. Kenny, who had only been working there a few days, realized the error and met me as I exited the theater with a cash refund and his apologies. He, like all of the staff, was professional and eager to do what was needed. The individual who handles their social media was very helpful that day as well. I wanted to speak to a staff member before arriving and the listed phone number was simply a recording. I sent a Facebook message to ask my question, to have it answered promptly and given a phone number to contact the staff. I couldn't be happier with JC and I expect to see many movies here. read more

This is a surprisingly updated and high quality small-town movie theater with small-town prices. We often go there on a weekend evening and pay $20 total for 2 adult tickets, a huge bag of popcorn, 2 huge sodas, and a little bottle of popcorn seasoning (that you can take home and use because you won't use the whole thing!). Amazing prices! As such, the quality isn't like a luxury movie theater, but I feel it's way better than the prices or location would dictate. It's always been reasonably clean, the staff is friendly, and they have assigned seating! It's rare that we go to a showing with more than maybe 10 other people in the theater, strangely enough. The only downside is that they cannot show any Disney movies (or Disney- owned content like Marvel or Star Wars). I cannot see to lower their rating for this reason, as it seems to be out of their control for the most part (legal issue). I actually emailed the theater about why they were not showing a recent Marvel movie, and got a response explaining the issue within about 10 minutes! So unfortunately for a few of the bigger movies you may need to go elsewhere. Overall this is my top theater in the vicinity, head and shoulders above the Goodrich 7 on Columbia. read more

With bodacious individuals such as Sara, and that is with no H, and Bekah Berg who kindly gives out gold stars to hard working employees, this is the place to kick it with the fam! Want some candy for a buck and half? Well don't worry about stuffing that purse full of gas station candy, they got your M&M's, they got your milk duds, they got your Mike n Iks, you like Mike n Iks? I sure do. Let's say your getting your concessions and buttering that popcorn with golden delicious sweet sweet butter and wait, they have no pickles left and now you're feeling some special kinda way..fret, not. Out for a date night and we decided to come to this theater, something new! Walked in and it was nicely decorated and prices were cheap! The staff was very nice and welcoming! Going to the movies is usually expensive with high prices on foods! Surprised, tickets were $6 and we saw medium popcorn for $2 dollars when usually around $5-6! Everything is also self serve and refills on drinks and popcorn are 50 cents! There were many other food selections there with good snacks! There were only 2 other groups in the theater with us which was nice and the seats were comfy! I am definitely going back soon! read more

This a very affordable movie theatre if you are interested in an inexpensive night at the movies to see a film that has been out awhile and you missed seeing it when it was new. Theater is inexpensive. Have current releases and older movies. Drinks, candy, and pop corn are reasonably priced. Seats are a little long for me but I rest one leg off to the side and I am comfortable enough. Excellent place to watch a movie. read more
