I'll start off by saying that I'm not a gamer. I never played video games as a kid, or adolescent and I think I can count on my hands how many times I've picked up a video game controller. I came here with my boyfriend while visiting one time and I still managed to have a good time. The drink menu isn't anything spectacular but there is something for everybody. We visited one time when it was pitcher drink specials and we got a gin and tonic with lime. It was. A bit heavy on the tonic bitterness and not too balanced, but was not bad. The bf usually plays the same games when we go to a game bar... Galaga being the top choice. I don't recall them having that. We did play some pac man and then hit the road because it was sooooop loud from karaoke. Fun vibe. Worth it if you like games or just want a different experience. read more

Great experience! We were a large group. There were about 20 of us. There was plenty of room. The staff was friendly. Food came out hot and didn't take too long. The atmosphere was chill...very much like hanging out at a friends house. I got a burger with garlic aoili...heaven! And the qbert mocktail...so yum! read more

Pretty cool spot in Kalamazoo. We turned LFG into a bit of a motto during our weekend visit - LFG - Let's F*ing Go! They've got the snacks and they've got the drinks, what more is there to ask for? Bartender and staff we interacted with were fun and friendly. We just missed Bingo (bummed about that!) but they seem to regularly have fun theme nights. Will definitely return when in Kalamazoo. read more

Went here for a night out while a couple friends in town and loved the place. The atmosphere was fun with all kinds of games, drinks were named after games and such plus tasted amazing, and the pub food was surprisingly delicious. Every order of food and drinks game with tokens for the gaming cabinets which was a neat idea. All in all, it was a fun night out and there were no complaints from anyone in our party. read more

My friend just had her birthday here and the entire experience was great! We got the entire bar to ourselves from noon-2 and had unlimited games to play (so many to choose from) as well as table top games and console games. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the bar! We had young kids as well and they had just as much fun as the adults. Cool place! I wish I knew about it earlier. We visited this place on Halloween night, everybody dressed up for Halloween which was awesome! There were plenty of games options. Arcade, PlayStation, Nintendo and bored games. The tokens are only for arcades . They sell around 12 tokens for 5 dollars. It was enough for 3 people. Although they have short food menu, you can order food and tokens comes Free with your order. It was fun time. Btw, Restrooms are very clean and nice. Definitely i will come here again. read more

LFG is the perfect place to visit during Dokidokon.  They were at the convention talking about their games, food and drink.  I love all the nerdy names for their mixed drinks, shots and food.  I was pleasently surprised to see 3 vegan options on the menu. I ordered the Plumbers Juice drink and Blinkys Tacos.  My husband got Water Temple for his drink and Fatality Fries for his food.  We were told our wait would be about 45 minutes because it was so busy.  I completelg understood simply because they had one person in the kitchen.  We were chill because there were games galore here, both arcade games and most consoles. Our drinks were delicious.  Added bonus, they use paper straws which I thought was awesome. The food was spectacular. My tacos were so worth the wait and I liked that they were shredded chicken instead of the standard ground beef. I would come back weekly if I lived in town. Love you guys. read more

I really enjoy this bar/gaming experience. I wasn't sure what to expect because I have been to gaming bars and had either a fun time or it was crowded and awkward. So I went in, hoping for the best, and it delivered. It is a cute little bar that has pinball games, shooting games, different types of consoles, and some old school video games that I haven't played since I was little. They also have card games, board games, and table games to entertain you if you don't want to leave your table. We ordered food and received some coins for playing with the purchase. I ordered the Master Beef Sandwich. The cost $12. Sandwiches come with fries or house-made chips. Kind of pricey for the sandwich but it was very good. Cost: You are looking at spending between $10 and $15 per person on food. $5 and $10 for a drink. They do have craft beer options, liquor menu, and different specialty cocktails. The drinks range from beer: $4 to $6. Cocktails were between $6 and $10, I believe. Overall: My experience was good. I enjoyed playing games and will mostly go back to experience more food and play more games. I will update this review if I go back. read more

I came in for a special event, best the Brewer with Saugatuck. It was so much fun getting my butt kicked in Mario Kart 64! They were featuring Lager of Love which is their pride beer. During the event the best bartender around, Mandall, was making drinks and having great conversation with us as always. I had the Fatality Fries which is a play on chili cheese fries and they were delicious. This place always had a wide range of age groups and games fitting for them all. This place is kind of like the Aquaman movie for me. I had really low expectations, and I actually wound up liking it better than I expected to. Basically a bunch of my gamer friends told me they hated it oh, so it had nowhere to go but up. If you're going here first and foremost to have a great gaming experience, you'll probably be a bit disappointed by lagging equipment and lack of variety. But if you're here for a birthday party, for example -- as we were on Friday night -- and you might want to play a little bit of Super Puzzle Fighter or Guitar Hero while you hang out and catch up with old friends, you're probably going to have a pretty nice time. The drink prices on the beers are very fair ($4-6 for local craft beers), but there's nothing out of the ordinary on the list. Cocktail prices are mostly under 10, but no one at my table was impressed with what they got and our concensus was that one of their cocktails was basically like grape Kool-Aid for grown ups. The food likewise was kind of meh. The rice balls just needed a little bit of something else -- the dipping sauce was delicious but they were just too ricey. Seems to me like there's way too many great spots to score an amazing drink downtown for this place to do too well other than that niche factor of having old school games. I did like that they had some board games and party games (What Do You Meme, Cards Against Humanity, Jenga, etc.), too. Here's hoping they add some pizzazz to both their drink and food menus, because this could be a pretty fun to hang out if they got all their ducks in order. read more

Great wings and fun atmosphere. The bartender was friendly and place was definitely worth checking out.

Wonderful concept but this place really needs wait staff! You have to go up to the bar to order food and drinks and then no one busses your tables so it just sits on your table until you leave. Signs to help customers understand how it works are definitely needed if they decide to keep trying this no waitstaff thing. And make a self serve station for dirty dishes and glasses. I hope the staff isn't making server pay, don't expect a good tip when the customers are doing all the work! read more

Oh gosh I don't know where to start. This was our first time there. The 3 stars are really for the food and friendly service. When we ordered our first round we got these tokens and were told by the bartender that they give out tokens with drinks and food so the more we drink/eat the more tokens we get to play... but we didn't get any extra tokens for the additional drinks or food we got. The food was pretty good but the drinks are overpriced in our opinion. There's all these free games to play which was cool so why would people want to pay for tokens when you can play for free? So as we're leaving there's a sign on the door that clearly states they want you to return any unused tokens because "it pleases Bill Murry" ... they want you to turn in tokens you paid for? Overall the idea is cool but not really a thought through concept read more

Awesome concept - seriously! Just awkwardly set up. Nearly all of the interior decorations are from the previous restaurant, and they could make it work for them- but with it being so blatantly video game theme...maybe embrace one theme vs several? The service was great, people seemed friendly- there is room for great potential. The biggest downfall is the food. Nearly 10 minutes after we ate some of our food (wings, chili dog and kids meal) my husband and I felt sick. Yes, we know we got a chili dog and wings but we have pretty tough stomachs and both of us were needing Tums....badly. Great concept, great potential...now they just have to...level up? read more

So I went and check this out today. It's A great idea but I was pretty underwhelmed. I got a bloody Mary which was vodka and zing zang. Ordered to go food and looked around a bit. They had some old school arcade games which was neat. The systems set up for play were cool. The idea of naming the food after games was fun. The food itself was fine, but not terribly interesting. I am the Secretary of OutFront Kalamazoo's Intersections group for Queer Trans People of Color and we recently had a fantastic event with the help of Amy & Mandall. Not only was the private dining space comfortable (and affordable) but the atmosphere created was inviting as all get out! They welcomed us and provided super service: food was hot, refills we're quick, they stayed ON IT. The drinks were POPPIN', especially Luigi's Sex Life - Mandall you outdid yourself! Plus, Amy was extremely helpful in determining choices for our buffet and taking care of any needs our party had as quickly as possible. Those wings tho?! POPPIN'! The rice balls?! SO GOOD She found a perfect balance; checking on us often but allowing us to enjoy the space for our group. We will DEFINITELY be returning for more events! Not what I expected..tokens are overpriced. Food: Portions are very small for price and then we had hair fried into our onion rings. The games are not of quality. They are used machines and based off of low budgets..good idea that was poorly executed. Bartender didn't tell us his name, and acted like a newb in his first RWMMPWP(Real World Mass Multiplayer Work-Place). They forgot to put the sauce on our food that came with it, didn't give us silverware, or any condiments, tried to give us excuses but it just wasn't worth it. This place is super fun. You can play unlimited tv video games and you get tokens with food and/or drink purchases. Not feeling video games? They have board games too! On my break from MARIO kart 64 I played a couple of rounds of Jenga! During the day it's super kid friendly! My son had a blast, my husband child had a bigger blast! The food was pretty good, we went the day after it opened so they might have some kinks to work out, but the pork belly is crisp and perfect. I had the tacos, and the pork belly was absolutely my favorite. I loved their themed menu/drink menu. I also love that after 9pm this becomes an adult only place to let loose and have some geeked out fun! I was very excited about going to this place and very quickly disappointed. They were out of some of the food on their very small menu on a Saturday night. It was extremely warm in the place and it smelled like the fryer. Like I said the idea of the place is really awesome but the limited menu and quality of the food made the experience not enjoyable. read more

And the decor from when this place was a nice Mexican restaurant didn't change at all so it feels awkward like they didn't put any effort into it. Was a great place to visit. My implications contain drama due to my natural born mental illnesses(adhd, bipolar disorder, RLS) which are not respected by this establishment in social nature. They had decent food, I really enjoyed their pork belly and loved their drink specials. I loved the fact that they had punny names for their menu items. I really enjoyed playing Galaga on their machines. It's a shame that they'll never understand my mental implications and will ostracize me for it. read more

Went here on New year's eve and had a blast. Everything you order comes with tokens so it's easy to jump on a machine and play. Even though it was busy the consoles would open up regularly. My only complaints were that all the songs in guitar hero weren't unlocked and the controllers for smash on the 64 had seen better days. read more

I first tried this place several weeks ago and I have been back 3 times since. The games are a blast, the drinks creative and fresh, and the food I have tried is delicious; especially the rice balls and pork belly tacos! The bartenders JC and Mandall are very attentive and friendly and make personalized drinks at my request. If I order a couple drinks and some food I get enough tokens to play the games I want and still have some left over. Great experience especially for all gamers.
