I believe this is a trip hazard and certainly don't meet "Fire Safety Codes!" The temperature in the big pool fluctuates from ice cold to really warm. The jets in the jacuzzi was repaired. Very disappointed that the gym no longer accept any insurance plans . I'm positive they could charge seniors $20 -$25 a month and most would return. Now all are members of L. A. Fitness. And they took their family with them.

This includes me, David Baker, B, and J Baker. Do not draw another month's membership dues on July 1, 2026. After being a member since 1999 the membership fee tripled. I stopped by the front desk at the gym and spoke with Chris. Very friendly and helpful. After discussing my concern he shared an email to contact member services. He also noted my account had no email address and I shared my email with him. I emailed my concern on June 5, 2026. Membership ACH- David Baker ...@gmail.com Jun 5, 2026, 12:48PM to powerhousegymsocal.com On May 1, 2026 my account draw tripled. I was not notified of a rate change. Please contact me to reconcile. Thank you, David Baker I have yet to receive a communication from anyone monitoring this email. I decided to speak with someone at the gym on Friday June 26, 2026. As my luck would have it, I encountered a staff member whose name I do not recall who claimed he was the Vice President multiple times during our conversation. I shared my concern that I had my account drawn for triple the amount without being notified and this overdrew my account. He was apologetic and went on to communicate that Powerhouse lawyers said that they did not have to notify anyone and that it was just a courtesy after I mentioned I looked it up and my understanding was that it was a California law protecting consumers. He assured me multiple times ( at least 3 more times) that the lawyers confirmed the gym was well within its rights to raise fees without notification. He continued to add, "...and your rates will be double that soon.." He asked if I wanted to cancel due to the increase. I related that I understand rates change and my concern was regarding the lack of notification. I mentioned a possible remedy being a couple of months at my former rate so I could decide what action to pursue as other members had been afforded. He said that he could not give me my membership for free. When I mentioned I was not given the common courtesy of notification and this remedy was not free he reiterated that the lawyers said..."..........." broken record response again. (The broken record response was a strategy taught and recommended during my Teacher Credentialing courses that I honestly believe is condescending even to students and refused to employ it, let alone would any one of my Business School Professors have ever encouraged its use by the Vice President of any business. Out of utter frustration I requested to speak to the person who did not have a Vice in front of his title. He scoffed, The President?! And added They will say the same thing I told you, The lawyers said ...blah blah blah... At the end of this slow trainwreck that the poor kid attending the desk next to us had to witness and endure with a smirk trying to stifle laughter I would venture, I mentioned that in case you're wondering, you are not a customer service expert and departed. I lament that a place I believed I would die being a member of has such disdain for its members and is so poorly managed. With sadness, David Baker Former Powerhouse Club Member "Letting go of what I can't control has helped me tremendously, in business and in life." -- Dave Kerpen FYI - Nice Renovation and new equipment. Entrance resembles walking through Skid Row. If the rates will now be equal to premier clubs so too should the customer service experience.

After being sedentary for so long, I'm really starting at the beginning, and the staff is SO supportive. I want to give a particular shout-out to Alec, a personal trainer there. Although I haven't yet worked with him directly, his positive attitude, and support just have me so motivated. Because I'm just starting out again, I've mainly been swimming laps in the pool, because it works everything but is also gentle on the muscles. Alec was excited to let me know that is exactly where he would start me on my fitness journey, and even recommended other exercises I can move on to, once I'm feeling more comfortable in my recovery. This is the best I have felt in 5 years. I am so excited, and so thankful to be back on the road to healthy body, and Alec, and the staff at LA Fitness have really made that possible for me.

Good gym but non welcoming employees…read more It's a decent gym, the hours kind of suck but I don't think that's something that can be changed. The gym is clean, offers a ton of classes, has every type of equipment you'd need but the equipment is super outdated, would be amazing to get an upgrade! Really good suana! The best of any gym in the area. Powerhouse San Jacinto is better in all aspects, the equipment was recently upgraded to top of the line machines, always clean, 24 hours, awesome employees, and amazing atmosphere that creates attachment. Personally I'm a busy person and LA fitness is close, convenient, and has everything I need out of a gym but has zero atmosphere. My one gripe about this gym is most of the staff doesn't greet, at all, blank stares. I know I like most people hate to feel dumb when you're just being polite. Especially the younger employees. I've walked in countless times while staff wasn't on the phone or occupied at all and said good morning just to be ignored. It's not a personal thing, I've seen this happen to almost everyone that walks in and greets. I personally just stopped greeting but I mean cmon it's a gym there's no reason the front desk workers should be acting like stuck up middle school kids lol. Common sense tells you It should be common practice to greet gym goers, yet it's not here? From the perspective of an employee I get it, there's rude customers but as an employee you keep it pushing and provide good customer cares. This really negatively affects the experience for gym goer. you don't build any attachment to the gym like you would at almost any other gym. Just something I wanted to share for others to know if they're looking to join a gym. Powerhouse (my previous gym) is a much more welcoming environment, the employees are personable and make the gym feel like a club your apart of. Even if you had a gym that was closer with better equipment and amenities, you'd have a personal connection to the gym because of the atmosphere they created. I didn't really appreciate that at the time but it's something that makes a gym outstanding. Now to be fair, I'm pretty young myself but I've noticed the generation of current young adults (18-22) lack basic people skills hard, so I can't fully just blame the gym, this seems to be very common amongst the generation. Still it's an easy thing to improve that cost nothing and has a great return. Greeting / being polite to gym goers would significantly improve the experience of LA fitness Hemet. It can absolutely be done too, the dudes that work at the protein shake bar are super cool people, always a good interaction! I wrote this because it's something I wish I knew beforehand, but primarily as constructive criticism for management and staff. My intent isn't to bash the gym entirely or any individual. The gym overall is good and has everything you'd need out of gym but it's soulless and doesn't have a good atmosphere to it.

Having such a versatile studio offering so many different fitness classes is hard to find. From the gorgeous space to the power house instructors, it's truly incredible start to finish. Both studios are welcoming, clean, and stunning. The reformer room is the most beautiful place I've ever sweat in. The owner Chantal is truly sunshine in human form and after every class you're not sure if your abs are sore from her kick ass workout or her humor because she keeps us steady laughing. Saraijah is an actual goddess who exudes strength and compassion is the most natural way and her attention to alignment and detail has you feeling so held throughout her classes. She is also hilarious! Lorena is an incredible instructor, you can feel her passion for Pilates and movement through her sequences and she is so funny, she also keeps us laughing. If you can't tell yet, I'm obsessed with this place. I'm nicer to my family because of these instructors and this studio. Do yourself a favor and try a class here. You will NOT regret it!
