I was a little stressed and nervous when I arrived at the Massapequa DB store to look for wedding…read moredresses for my October wedding. I went to a few other stores and did not receive such a good experience. I was met by a stylist and the store manager, Katie. They were both very genuine and down to earth, instantly making me feel comfortable. I told them what style dress I had in mind but I was open to trying different cuts. They took into consideration my body type, complexion (I'm fair so I went with Ivory) and the time of year so the dress wouldn't be too heavy or light. I fell in love with a dress that needed something extra because it was a bit too plain. Their expertise showed when they came up with the perfect belt, veil and shoes to spruce up my perfect dress. The alterations dept offered suggestions and I walked out a very happy bride. Their product knowledge, genuine, willingness to help and great customer service at the Massapequa store truly gave me a positive experience that I needed because wedding planning can be very stressful.

Weird if they're made to order but whatever. I cancel the order. They refund me for each tie separately, and then only issue refunds for 5 ties, not 6. I contact them, am told the refund is coming. I contact them again, am told they see that the refund for 1 tie is missing and will be refunded within 48 hours. Still no refund and it's been 5 days. I'm furious that I have to waste my time chasing down $19.83. PS- the ties are still available as made to order on their website. So be warned, they're probably not in stock And then you too could be planning a wedding and dealing with added stress from David's, every bride's dream.

I begrudgingly went, and to my shock and surprise, it ended with me loving the shoes I got because it feels like I'm walking on clouds. I don't know if my back or knee feel any better, but my feet sure do !! The shoes don't necessarily flatter my feet or overall look, but when I step into them, I no longer care. Clouds, clouds, and more clouds... is what I feel... and that's fine by me. The sales approach is completely different from what I've been given, which isn't much of anything, to be honest, and these sales associates know their "shit." They really do, and to be further honest, I think that what other Yelpers have viewed as "rude" or "condescending" was just the sales people ripping apart all preconceived ideas and trying to teach us how to TRULY get properly fit for a shoe, be it for walking or running or whatever. It was an education for sure, and I can see why some would be put off by it. I didn't want to hear some of what they said, but they weren't wrong, either, and my feet are happy once again. Maybe I'll order another pair in another color.

I started running recently and wanted to get shoes for daily runs that would fit my wide feet and…read moregive support for my flat arch and instability. Runner's Edge came to mind as my dad and brother had both gotten fittings there before. I went in the middle of a random weekday thinking the store would be less busy, but there were many customers in there being fitted. Jarod was the associate who helped me. He asked questions about my intended use for the shoes and had me try out a few pairs after measuring my feet. He made adjustments and picked different pairs out from the back as I told him how the shoes felt. I landed on the Saucony Guide 19, which was not shoes that I had in mind or come across during my research. But they are super comfy and I love running in them. I saw they had a lot of gels and other running gear in the store. Would love to revisit when I start preparing for longer runs!
