Yes, you are paying more than you would at a grocery store - that's the price of convenience and it's a small general store, not a massive chain. However, everything there is high quality and it's saved me so many times from having to go all the way into town for something we needed for dinner. I also can't say enough about the ice cream they have, especially the sherbert! I believe it comes from Gunthers in Sacramento and it is seriously some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Everyone who works there has been friendly and helpful, the store is always clean and well stocked, and I hope it continues to succeed in town. I come in here no less than a few times a week, whether for a drink, ice cream, a to-go sandwich, or grocery items, and have never had an issue. I'm glad they're selling shirts and more merch now too, because it really is a Glenshire staple.

First bonus perk, check in you get a free coffee or a scoop of ice cream. I decided to go for coffee because it's freezing, and 10:30 AM lol. I was greeted as I walked in by Bobby. A genuinely nice personable guy. I showed him the coupon for free coffee, and then we started talking about the market. He said he really enjoyed it here. It is just like one of those old neighborhood markets that I had when I was growing up. Nice deli section, meat section, pretty much all around mom and Pop style grocery store. Really enjoyed my visit here, and want to come back and try the Gunthers ice cream.

We immediately called to see if we could reschedule as we know we would be back. They said we could come another day. Yay! We decided to go back when there wasn't a blizzard. Lol. We also upgraded our experience from smores & fireplace outdoors, to a YURT! Best decision ever & it was our BEST winery experience ever! It was just perfect & magical! The yurt had 2 heaters, but we quickly turned one off. It wAs equipped with blankets & pillows! It was so cozy feeling. Our table was so nicely decorated, like out of a magazine! The experience came with a charcuterie board and 5 wine tastings. Everything was so good! Not a fan of White wine, but it's something about high elevation wineries...makes white taste yummy! Ambiance was cozy, without the cold snow! We absolutely loved everything about it & we are super happy we booked it! This is a must to visit in Truckee!

It's a great little market with some organic stuff at some discounted prices. Most things were cheaper than Raleys or Safeway (when those items weren't on sale). So you're saving a buck or two.
