Easier when writing a review. We have 2 nurseries in my area. Maddie's and Edward's. Edwards is MASSSIVVVE. I mean, MASSIVE! It's better than any Home Depot or Lowe's nursery tho. Always buy from real nurseries. Edwards review will be coming after this one. Maddie's! Man, what a fantastic little place. I'm so glad we finally decided to go. Last year we painted our house black. So we, after all these years, decided to put a lot of work into our front gardens. I have personally always enjoyed rose gardens. Had one in Phoenix that was absolutely incredible. I managed to keep them unbelievably beautiful...even in that super dry, DEPRESSINGLY hot environment lol. I had a rose "garden" briefly here at this house. Sadly, I didn't tend to it the way I should have. Anyway! This year...started a new one. Bought 3 rose bushes from Maddie's and 5 from Edward's. The 3 from Maddie's: the "Marilyn Monroe (pics should be included. I believe I attached some) The Pope John Paul II (we needed a pure white rose up against a black background. STUNNING roses! Marilyn is next level stunning, too) 3rd one we got was a a Mr Lincoln. We got him a a few weeks. No buds yet, but we have new life on it and we are super excited to see what comes in a few weeks. Maddie's is a place you can tell where they take VERY great care of their plants. It's much smaller than Edward's. So it's almost like they could do a "one to one" type of thing. Not actually do that, but hopefully you get what I mean by that. It's kind of a bougie place too. That makes me happy. I see that and think....quality ass plants. That's exactly what they have too. The staff is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Some of the younger ones who don't know much about this plant or that one tho...should always refer customers to someone who knows the answers. I say that bc yesterday we asked a girl about care for the roses. With the heat jump last week, the roses weren't happy with that. Anyway, very nice girl was talking to us. Told us this and that and then we saw the manager and said "would she know?" The girl said..."oh she'd absolutely know" Hmm, ok, so we both thought...she probably should have referred us to her to begin with vs telling us to come back to talk to another woman who had helped us a couple weeks ago. I am in NO way trying to get anyone in trouble...especially bc I love this place so much. Everyone there is so very nice. Just a suggestion is all...that if you aren't sure about something in the nursery, remember there is always someone there who will know the answers. Enough with that. I'm sorry if I offended anyone at Maddie's with that. Not my intention at all. Ok, there is a little house on the property. Check it out when you go. It's suuuuuper homey! Looking out the windows too to the nursery is sorta magical...at least for me. That'd be a cool air bnb haha. I wonder if someone actually lived there tho in the past. This place is absolutely wonderful. Edwards is great, too, don't get me wrong. However, again, it's very very large. Maddie's you will always get one to one help with their employees. Edwards, same, but sometimes you have to go searching and sometimes you have to walk and walk to find help. Again, a review for them will come as well...and it'll be good as well. Maddie's also has this amazing dog who is super chill. I saw his name online but ugh can't remember it. Yellow Lab. Soooo cute! So sweet. A dog on the property is a major win in my book. They used to carry Christmas trees in the past. However, for like the past 2 years, I haven't seen them :( Now that I've actually gone to the nursery, if they get Christmas trees again, I'll definitely go there for it. It's a tad pricey. However, you are 100% getting top quality plants, flowers, etc. You feel that when you just walk in. Truly is a magical little place. The owner helped us with some questions and we purchased a nice selection of blooms. It's quaint, but beautifully laid out with a great selection. There are also helpful signs that help organize the different areas and types of plants. We typically shop at Edwards, but it can be very overwhelming with too many options. Your company takes care of Pinewood Lakes...I would not consider you to be anything but lawn…read moremowers. You leave thousands of sticks from trimming bushes in the lawns then run over them with lawnmowers and sharpen them. Your idea of leaf removal is mulching them with mowers leaving piles in the grass to kill it farther than you already have with your overwatering letting the water go down the drains for days of constant running not just hours. Seeding then washing it away with overwatering. Leavinging ruts in the lawns due to lazy ways to pick up sticks. Not to mention your replacement of sprinkler heads leaving dirt you dug up to kill our grass farther. Not happy and hope for a replacment very soon. If there was a negative star for a rating I would leave it. Beware our common areas have never looked so bad.

The helpers did not speak English, and it made it very difficult to communicate the design because what they had on paper was a pencil drawn diagram with no dimensions or other details. I would advise, staying away from their landscaping business and focus solely on plants, once you've inspected them to ensure that they are healthy. They have a tendency to sell trees that are not cared for very well. They do have some pretty good pricing though.

After a few back and forth exchanges with prices and measurements I called to make an order! Tifani was great! I ordered and two days later I had my top soil delivered. Delivery day the driver called to let me know when he would arrive (I had a window of time). When the driver arrived we chatted briefly, I directed him where to put the top soil and he was out of there! Fast forward to today & I have Alfie. So this next part is gonna be kind of mushy, I apologize in advance lol. When I got Alfie, I decided to research different foods, treats, etc that would be the best for him. I did the same for Frankie, but part of me feels like I failed him and after he passed last year, I thought, maybe if I had done more research, I could have found a better food for him that maybe would have helped his health and he wouldn't have passed away. I know that's crazy because he passed from congestive heart failure & kidney failure is what eventually took him. Still, me being me, I will always wonder if there was something could have done to maybe have prevented his health issues. He was 11 1/2, so I mean, he was older but little ones last longer than bigger ones! At least that's what I've been told my entire life lol. I thought Frankie and I would grow old together lol. I have Alfie now and I am above and beyond grateful for my little dude. So I've done the food research and have him on a certain food. Insanely expensive lol, especially for the amount and naturally, he loves it. It's a raw diet tho. So I have found another food, a kibble, he isn't had it yet, but I'll be switching him to it. Also an expensive food, but their track record is absolutely pristine compared to literally every other dog food company....from the things I've read. This place is the only place that carries these foods and a variety of other *higher end* foods. So yeah, it's "that" kind of place lol. It's truly a fantastic store. Super super clean, the layout couldn't be any more perfect, the selection from foods to toys to treats is amazing. I am so glad I finally decided to go in here and it's super close to my house too. Alfie is still scared of cat rides lol, so when he finally grows out of that, I'll take him in so he can pick out some toys and treats himself. He will be 1 on January 3rd, so HOPEFULLY before then, he will get over his fear of the car rides lol. The staff here is incredible. I have yet to come across a rude one. All so friendly, incredibly helpful, and they engage. So many in retail don't anymore especially if their phone is in reaching distance lol. You really couldn't ask for a better pet store. Sure Petco and Petsmart are good and convenient because they huge and everywhere. Northwest Pets is a smaller store and just feels good supporting the smaller businesses...especially nowadays. Petco and Petsmart have nothing to worry about. The treats I get Alfie, bully sticks, can be found at Petco and at NW Pets. They're pricey little chew treats, but he absolutely loves them and they take awhile to devour lol..so it's worth the $$ and he's definitely worth it. Both stores are comparable in prices with those. NW Pets just has the foods that Petco and Petsmart don't carry. They have a couple, but yeah, NW Pets definitely has brands not carried at the bigger stores. Anyone who lives in the PNW and who has a cat and or a dog I guarantee have been to this store. It's such a great store. Again, glad I finally started to go here and regret waiting until recently.
