Your company takes care of Pinewood Lakes...I would not consider you to be anything but lawn mowers. You leave thousands of sticks from trimming bushes in the lawns then run over them with lawnmowers and sharpen them. Your idea of leaf removal is mulching them with mowers leaving piles in the grass to kill it farther than you already have with your overwatering letting the water go down the drains for days of constant running not just hours. Seeding then washing it away with overwatering. Leavinging ruts in the lawns due to lazy ways to pick up sticks. Not to mention your replacement of sprinkler heads leaving dirt you dug up to kill our grass farther. Not happy and hope for a replacment very soon. If there was a negative star for a rating I would leave it. Beware our common areas have never looked so bad. read more

Usually a great selection, but you really have to keep an eye on these people. We hired them to do some landscaping and they ended up buying all of our plants at Lowe's. How do I know? Because the tags were left on the plants. $10,000 for a very small backyard, about eight very small trees, 5 feet or less, and about eight plants with some rock. It looks nice now only because we doctored what they did. The helpers did not speak English, and it made it very difficult to communicate the design because what they had on paper was a pencil drawn diagram with no dimensions or other details. I would advise, staying away from their landscaping business and focus solely on plants, once you've inspected them to ensure that they are healthy. They have a tendency to sell trees that are not cared for very well. They do have some pretty good pricing though. read more

So this is another nursery, just practically down the street from where we live. We went in to look at trees yesterday and spoke to one of the employees about what we were looking for. This is a great nursery that has everything you need. We are at, a very beginning starting point. Our backyard is a complete blank canvas needing trees, bushes flowers, etc. And they have everything. It's fun looking at everything and dreaming of what you want to put in. read more

We bought a tree from Jon C Irby last August, and were told you have a warranty for a year after you buy the tree as long as you pay them to plant the Trees. So we pay for them to plant them. Done. One of the trees ($500) doesn't come back this spring, we call them and then they mention that the warranty only lasts until the end of the year instead being FOR A YEAR . Aka December 31st. It's convenient that they didn't clearly state that when we bought the trees. End of the season fully aware that winter was coming we would of never bought tree from them for a four month warranty. Save yourself some time and money and go to any other nursery in town. read more

DO NOT BUY from Jon C Irby if you have expectations of good business practices. We purchased this Magnolia tree along with 2 other trees in May this year and had Jon C Irby deliver it. We dug the holes extra deep, put sand in the bottom for good drainage. We put good compost in with a healthy soil mix. We watered well as you can tell by my on going photos all summer of how pretty our yard is on Facebook. This tree came with an injury in the bark on its trunk from the nursery and we hoped it would heal. Maggie died just 3 months after we purchased it and when I called at 1st the lady at Jon C Irby sounded like she didn't know what I was saying. Then she asked me if their people had planted it and said if their people didn't plant it they will not honor the warranty. I have read reviews about how their people plant trees and wanted better for our trees roots. WOW! Our other 2 trees are doing well. I will never purchase from Jon C Irby again! read more

Warning!! I came here to purchase several large trees for my backyard in late March 2021. They had a great selection and at the time seemed to have good customer service. They have a policy of a 1 year warranty if you have them plant them. Done! Well this is when things went bad. The install was a joke they were under prepared with equipment and only 2 guys to install 5 large trees. one of the guys did a great job of leaning on a shovel and watching. I finally jumped in to help dig so they could actually finish by the end of the day. Then things got worse one of the trees had been declining and losing all needles. I reached out to them at least six times and have personally gone there to discuss this issue with ZERO response. I have requested the owner to get involved to resolve this warranty that I happily paid for. Again NOTHING. This place is a joke and I have to believe this is not a one time incident. Fair warning to all! I hope this helps on choosing your landscaping needs! read more

I had two trees planted by Jon Irby nursery, last summer. Two guys came out from Irby and planted them in 100+ heat in July during a heat wave. I don't understand why they would do that. Shortly within a week after planting the trees they both were losing all of their leaves. I called an arborist and he said no way should they have planted those trees during a heat wave. Both trees were dying of shock. No matter how much we watered them and tried to save them they were failing. We called Jon Irby and they agreed to replace them with two new trees. This was in September. On one tree the hole was dug way too small and since the guy couldn't fit the tree roots in the hole, he stomped the roots in, cracking the big, main root, as well as leaving twine wrapped around the tree roots. I looked on, shocked, but figured he knew what he was doing. But, I also had a bad feeling that the tree was going to have problems. The tree was put in the hole so shallow that some wind toppled it over with the roots hanging out and exposed on one side. We had to straighten it upright, and stake it on the outside with straps to stabilize it and we added more soil. We watered appropriately but this didn't help because the tree prematurely lost most of it's leaves and looked bad. We called Irby nursery and the manager said "wait until spring to see how it does". Well, spring comes and the tree gets small pitiful blossoms, and now has about three leaves sprouting. It is failing to grow, really struggling and looks terrible. We take pictures and go in person to the nursery. First, we get a run around by the employees about how busy the manager is and to call it in. Finally, we do see the manager and she says the tree warranty was only good for the year it was put in. Which was a ridiculous, three months before the end of the year and only valid for that year. What about the twine left tightly wrapped around the roots an has embedded into the root? Well, she says "we should have been told by their employee who planted the tree to remove the twine after six months". First time hearing about that. Basically, Jon Irby Nursery won't do anything. I think Jon Irby should train people how to properly plant a tree. We are now out of $700 for the one tree and I have to spend more to call a professional arborist to try and see if he can do anything for the tree. Very disappointing. Lesson learned. My next trees will be purchased elsewhere and planted by a professional. read more
