Went in last month and was taken care of by Janet. VERY nice and knowledgeable. After taking the ring home I found that it was too busy and would like to exchange it. Went in on a Tuesday and spoke to the lovely Ms Joy and Marlon. Who told me to come back for the Father's Day sale. Here I am today (Saturday) and here comes Patty.!! The downer of the group. Told me what I can and could not do with such "sorrow" in her voice. There you have it, now you have completely lost the sale.! Just return it before you act as if you are going do me a favor. Every ring is a standard 7 so if your girl is any other size it will be a 2 week wait for your ring to come in....Ridiculous! My fiancée and i got engaged in december and after a few hiccups with my first ring we decided to exchange at the stone mall location. I felt pushed into getting something that totally didn't convince me and a few days later i tried to take it back and once again they belittled my concerns and i kept it for 2 months. After feeling so iffy about the ring we decided going to the citadel location, i thought "what if the rings are just left overs or used rings no one wanted" i was very wrong i went 3 times to make sure i made the right choice with my fiancée. Cheryl, Muna and Jorge were all equally helpful and friendly despite my indecisiveness. They surpassed the basic customer service skills and made sure they tended to our needs. My husband bought my engagement ring and wedding bands there a couple years ago, we had to get them resized three weeks ago. At the time that we dropped it off, they asked him if he wanted to authorize me to pick it up, he said yes and gave them my name and they told him I would just have to take my drivers license to pick up the ring. I show up to pick ip the ring and Joy asks for the receipt, I tell her I only have my drivers license that it matches my husbands last name and address that they have on file and that my husband added me to be able to pick up the ring. She calls the manager from her personal phone and explains the situation to him to see if they can give me the ring, but she speaks to him in a different language. She gets off the phone and tells me they can't give me my ring, I tell her why is she speaking to him in an other language, how do I know you're really explaining the situation correctly to him. They both kept speaking over me and interrupting me when I kept explaining to them my husband added me to pick up the ring and that it was the employees fault who didn't add it in their system correctly. Why should we pay for their mistake, I wasted time and gas because they do not know how to do their job correctly. Joy was so condescending and sarcastic as I was leaving, saying have a great day. Later my husband calls to complain to them for their mistake and tells them they never sent him an email saying the ring was ready, the lady tells him the email is automatically sent, so my husband says if they could send it again. She says I don't know how to do that. I'll call you later. These employees don't even know how to do their job that they're getting paid for. I understand it's a very expensive ring and they can't just give it out to anybody, but I showed up with my drivers license as we were told and I couldn't get my ring because they don't know how to do their job and add an authorized person for pick up. Never buying anything else at that place, horrible service! And just to circle back around to her speaking in another language, I am all for people speaking whatever language they want on their own time but if you're in a work setting and you're dealing with a customer and you're trying to explain a situation to your supervisor, manager, or another associate you should speak in English so the customer knows and understands everything you're saying. The store itself was extremely busy for a Monday but then again Christmas is almost here. While helping us he acknowledged every customer who walked in and was very patient towards us. Wish I had read The reviews first before purchasing anything from this company. I really wanted to cross and went to the outlet and saw a pretty Little chain with a cross that's where my nightmare all in one month started. I could have paid cash but I was convinced to Open an account so I said OK. After I was approved for $3500 the slow moving cs person boxed up my item but I noticed my address on the receipt was incorrect which I mentioned To her but I was told I needed to contact their customer service department and have them correct and Gave me the number and I LEFT WITH My NECKLACE ON. I got home Called the number and was told They would Correct the address and resend another credit card to the correct address. A couple weeks went by I noticed I still have not received the credit card or an address to send my payment to so I call again Only now to be told I was now in their "fraud department"... lol imagine my surprise!!! I was told they need to verify my Identity and needed several pieces of info which I sent in immediately. Another couple of weeks went by I still didn't hear anything so I called a third time to make sure the information was recieved and to also to report the chain was now broken for no reason just fell from around my neck AND again get a address to mail a payment, Now I was told they received my information but closed my account.. and here's the kicker they said I could apply AGAIN!! Which would include another inquiry on my credit report, which of course I said no to.....WHAT A JOKE!! Ended up taking the chain to a jeweler only to find out the "diamonds" are subpar which was very embarrassing. I will never purchase any of their JUNK JEWELRY again. read more

Not happy with this Zales bought my daughter frozen snowFlakes earrings, came back to the store to return them 2 weeks after purchase because they kept coming off sales person suggested to repair and get screw backs at additional cost I had no problem with that so a month after picking up the repaired earrings, one of the earrings gets caught on her sweater and because the screw backs are on the snowflake breaks off the steam of the front part of the earring at this point I'm very upset I go back to the store for refund and Jorge stated it had been past the 60 days for returns .... my purchase was on nov 9th went back on NoV 16 was when I made the decision of adding screw backs and didn't go back to pick them up until Dec 7th so it had been exactly a month from when she actually got to wear the earrings also It's a 45 min drive to get there from my house was a big waste of time driviNg back and forth Definitely not coming back here and wouldn't recommend this place either !!! read more

Customer service helps but doesn't help you get what you want/need! So I bought an engagement ring last December, and i was happy with everything, until the ring started to fall apart. I sent out an engagement ring twice because the prongs came loose on the diamond, let alone I didn't even have the ring for 6 months when these problems arose. So I sent in the ring and it came back fixed, or at least I thought so. Within a week of its return the stone was loose AGAIN! I gave up on zales and their horrible service because we got the same results from both of their "repairs" to my finance's ring. This business has been known for selling fake diamonds and horrible customer service, and I am glad to see that they ended this year horribly, leading to the close of 140 stores statewide. Thanks Again for the horrible customer service! No business has made a purchase as complicated as you have zales. read more

I'm very upset at the poor customer service we have received. We arrived and were not greeted, which is fine, but we waited over 10 minutes before we were helped. We were there to pick up my fiancé's ring. It was a complete mess. The ring had two mistakes in engraving. One being a completely wrong wedding date. They checked and were going to tell us it was our fault, but when they pulled the paper, they saw it was their mistake. Additionally, we paid for it to be sized and it wasn't sized so it was huge on him. Literally everything went wrong with it. Then the employees accused us of not requesting sizing. Why would we spend so long getting his finger sized and telling them what size it should be if we didn't want it sized? What kind of business is this? We spent so long purchasing it and clarifying everything with the person who sold it to us only for us to return to this mess. We don't live nearby so each time there is a mistake, we have to drive out of our way for this. I will never be making a purchase here or recommending this place again. read more
