UFO Dessert Bun - Nutella Banana
Tracy V.

We're so excited to have a new Indian restaurant in the area; there aren't many options nearby, so this is such a welcome addition! The owners were incredibly kind, checking on us throughout our meal and making conversation, which made the experience feel really personal. They even have a fun little game where you can win a free appetizer if you stop the timer at exactly 10 seconds--my husband and I both tried and stopped too early, but it was such a cute touch! The food was excellent. I especially loved the veggie samosa and jalapeño samosa (so good!), and the goat biryani was flavorful and satisfying. The chicken tikka masala was tasty too, though I personally would've enjoyed it a bit spicier or with a little more punch of flavor. And for dessert, we had the Nutella banana dish--omg yum , the perfect sweet ending to the meal!

Veggie Samosa (2)

I was excited to try this new restaurant nearby and ended up extremely satisfied! The owners are very nice people and the restaurant was nice and clean. It was moderately busy when we came by, but not too crazy. After we placed our orders, we were invited to play a "game" where you press a button to try and stop a countdown timer exactly at 10:00 seconds. Each person gets to try, and if you hit it, you get a free appetizer. I was close, but did not quite get it and didn't see anyone else hit it either while I was there. Nevertheless, an interesting, quick, and fun side quest. For the food, we ordered vegetable samosas which were fantastic. For my meal, I ordered the Chicken Jalfrezi, which was something new to me, and some garlic naan. It was so good! I stopped myself from eating all of it just so I could have some leftovers for the next day. Prices are reasonable, and I will certainly return here. Give it a try!

I gave 4 stars because food with great service made for an above average dining experience. Service was great, loved the family owned feel of the service. They told us they are adding things to the menu next week, including Korma. The Tikka Marsala was good on the sweeter side. The Goat Biryani was a great dish with a healthy portion of rice to goat ratio. We also enjoyed the Samosa both veggie & the jalapeño cheese one. The highlight of the meal was the UFO Nutella Banana it was rich but delicious and also a fun dessert, kheer was also good but the UFO was better. The kheer was served warm and personally I would have liked it served cold. The resturant itself was casual, but clean and nicely decorated inside, service was great & everybody was friendly.

Chicken Vindaloo

My friend and I were looking for a quiet spot for brunch and found this place on Google. We're so glad we came! The mango lassi was fresh and delicious, and the chicken vindaloo with rice and garlic naan was packed with spice and flavor. I also grabbed a chai tea to go--so good! The owner was super sweet and welcoming, with an interesting background in the food business. Definitely worth a visit!

Wow! Soooo good! This was my second time here, and it did not disappoint. On my first visit, we tried the Chicken Tikka Masala with garlic naan and rice... amazing! Truly one of the best I've ever had. Huge portions too! Today was my second visit, and we went for the Butter Chicken UFO, the mini UFO stuffed with jalapeño and cheese, and their cheeseburger. Holy smokes! Everything was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back again!! So sad I didn't get a picture of the rest of the food today, I was too busy stuffing my face

By far the best Tikka Masala I've ever had and the garlic naan, super yum. The portion is huge! Can't wait to come again.

Everything I had was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place. The flavor is out of this world.

Lahori food from Pakistan will have a different range of spices for new eaters. The dishes I sampled at Shan Grills were not hot spicy, more like aromatic. The kebabs are formed like meatballs at first, the flattened like a pattie, to be braised. Parathas can be stuffed with meats, or lentils, or veggies, and/ or cheeses. Bribed chicken wings, fried with rice flour, your choice 1 of 5 Lahoru sauces. Staff is very warm & welcoming. Order at the counter in the far back of the seating area.

My husband tried their chai and loved it, even without sugar. The owner also surprised me with a homemade mango shake, which was so delicious I couldn't stop drinking it! We'll definitely be coming back again and again. They made us feel like we're a part of their family.

Well luckily I've been inside their shiny marble halls enough time to pass my final verdict. For one, it seems like staff turnover is a concern here, as I often see new staff up front who are unfamiliar with their own menu or promotions while the food gives me an idea of what's going in the back. Which is to say, nothing has ever been consistently good here and there's been many occasions of food that's poorly seasoned, undercooked or simply spoiled. I know they have the ability to do better but is it worth the suffering for the opportunity? My answer is NO. For the markedly above average cost and inconsistent leaning poor quality, this isn't the local institution I would personally advise you to support. (Just FYI: I have had their dinner then brunch buffet multiple times, dined in, taken out and separately ordered delivery through a 3rd party app. I really had high hopes!)

I am familiar with Indian food so most of the names are recognizable, but the delicious differences are not to be missed! We ordered the lunch special which was $14.99 for 2 meats (one grilled and one in sauce), rice, a small salad of onions and lettuce, and dessert. I believe they specialize in grilled meats, cause the flavor was fantastic! The picture showed rice pudding for dessert but they came out with gulab jamen instead. I was disappointed at first but dang if that wasn't the best version of this I have ever had. I wanted a vegetable also so for the same price of $14.99 I got palak paneer and naan, which was a more earthy, less milky version as well. Naan was also best in class. I don't always love naan cause it can be rubbery. This was excellent. Soft and pillowy. It was so much food that we took it home and had a whole other meal. What a value for $14.99 each! The space is beautiful and though the clientele seems to be mostly Pakistani, they are welcoming to all. Service was a touch slow, but not painful. We still got in and out during our lunch break. I honestly think they just need more customers and so I want everyone to know that it was a new experience for me and I was super happy with the food. Welcome to the neighborhood Grand Tandoori!
