Sadly I've never had the pleasure of trying Afghan food before, and I went into this dinner without expectations. This was a great place to try the cuisine for the first time, as the employees were so friendly and kind and had no problem explaining the dishes to us or making some dishes vegetarian. We had the 3 course menu (€27,50), which gave us the opportunity to try just about everything!
There were many starters to whet our appetites. My favourite was a sort of meat dumpling served in a yogurt sauce, although the fried vegetables we got were made stellar with the spicy coriander sauce. The big rice dishes were served on beautiful plates and were so flavourful! They went well with the stews, and I think the lentil was my favourite.
Normally I don't order dessert but seeing as it came with the menu, I at least had to give it a try. It was dried figs and other dried fruits, coconut ice cream, a delicate pudding, and mulberry ice cream. It was the perfect end to the meal, so refreshing!
