There's a lovely outdoor terrace, a lively Bollywood-inspired sound track and really wonderful staff. We took the butter chicken, chicken korma, chicken tikka masala (I know, but my friend is against eating lambs), and saag paneer. Everything was delicious and the naan was as good as the ones I had in India. I'd even say the food was somewhat better than at my favorite place in Cambridge, Mass (which is fabulous). Our servers very kindly spoke English, which was a bonus for me as I really do not know the German for things like "saag paneer" and "cutlery."

This restaurant popped up with the high reviews, and it was also perfectly situated in between the WTC and Rotterdam Centraal station. We made our way up an elevator to the restaurant (there's two restaurants here, one Indian and one Chinese) and the dining room is a massive, well laid out and luxurious space. Our meal consisted of the following items: 1) Papads with chutney as an amuse bouche - there were two papad and served with a trio of chutneys. I loved the mango chutney while my mum liked the yogurt more. We were indifferent about the mint chutney. 2) A little tomato soup as starter - this was sent to us compliments of the chef and it was delicious. A mix between soup and tomato water with a beautiful curried taste twisting thru each sip 3) Aqua Panna (25ml aka small bottle) which was €2.20 - ouch thought this was expensive. 4) Vegatable Saffron Korma came which came with Yogurt (€18) - this was a wonderful medley of vegetables in a beautifully creamy sauce. Very tasty and my mum's fave dish. 5) Apple Brinjal (eggplant/ aubergine) masala (€17) - I've never heard of this combination before and it was so amazing! The tartness of the apple cut thru the earthiness of the eggplant. My fave dish of the night! 6) Vegetable Biryani (€17.50) - The taste of the vegetables used was very similar to the Saffron Korma. If we hadnt had the Korma, would have enjoyed the Biryani better. 7) 1 Tandoori Roti (€3.95) - pretty decent and well-cooked, but a bit on the small size. It's not a 5-stars, despite how good the food was, because of some issues with service. Firstly, we'd ordered a 2nd Tandoori Roti, which never came. Second issue was when instead of the Vegetable Biryani we had ordered, we actually served the Chicken Biryani instead, and we flagged the waiter to get this corrected. Thirdly, the Vegetables used in the Biryani were also massively similar in taste to the Korma, so that was a double up with the same taste, rather than the Veg Biryani having its own distinct flavours. The ambience is very relaxing, with candlelight, nice for couples as well as groups. I had the papadon with sauces(mint was delicious), onion bhaji(like onion rings but tastier with the sauces) and Lamb fika. The dishes were spicy, very filling and the lamb dish in particular was superb. The service is very prompt taking less than 10 minutes to fill the order. I consider this a must visit in Holland for Nepalese, Bhutan, Tibetan cuisine. Major thumbs up!

We arrived and were greeted and shown to a table near the front of the restaurant. It seemed to extend quite a way back, but I didn't have a reason to venture further in. Our server was friendly and provided menus and took our drink orders. I know they had wine but I don't know if they had a full bar. There were certainly several tables of Americans and Brits who appeared to be well served in that regard, so maybe there was a bar... The menu was fairly extensive, with an appreciable overlap with dishes we were familiar with from Indian places in the U.S. We all found something to our taste. I think we ended up with a couple of vegetarian curry dishes and one that was chicken-based. We also got naan and rice. Everything was good, and given the lateness of dinner (for us), we were hungry. When the food came out, they also brought one warming stand per dish. This was something new that we encountered at a couple of restaurants on this trip.
