The Bad You might have to wait a couple months if you wish to get an appointment with Dr. Ashtiani. The UGLY ...and it is ugly You will wait, and wait, and wait, and WAIT in the office for an ABSURD amount of time before they call you back...and if you are unlucky like me...they might not even call you back. For my second appointment, I called to let them know I would be ten minutes late, they were cool with it. I arrived ten minutes late and had to wait one hour and twenty minutes to be called back for a quick test. No problem, it was my fault for arriving late...I thought. BUT TODAY, oy vey!! I arrived early for my 3pm appointment. At 4:42pm I see a hall light go off and a staff member leave...I decide I better go to the counter as it seems they may have forgotten about me???? I go to the front desk and ask the girl if I should reschedule my appointment (since they close at 5pm and I was there for a stress test which apparently takes some time). She says, "ok" and makes a new appointment for me in two more weeks . She NEVER asked why I wanted to reschedule and never apologized for my wait. After sitting in the waiting room for ONE HOUR AND FORTY SEVEN MINUTES I would think they would have some sort of empathy for the patient that just waited for nearly two hours for an appointment. Typical high desert service. I was so happy to find a doctor in the high desert that had more than two stars... sadly, this place is just like the rest of the medical offices up here. They don't give a S... about you or your time. I hope the office manager reads this and gets some customer service training for the person at the window that didn't give a crap about my exasperatingly long wait... the only thing she was worried about was getting to leave in 18 minutes. Pfff...

Dr. Rasania is also a star interventional specialist at San Antonio Regional Hospital that has a state-of-the-art cath lab, and he couples it with his expertise and care. He does the most complex procedures and also has the fewest complications. He also does all of his own procedures for his patients from angiograms to stents, and you can be sure he will be with you the whole step of the way. His staff is also incredibly kind, helpful and very efficient, and they makes sure all the appointments run smoothly so patients are not waiting long. They are can set up all your appointments. Dr Rasania provided me with the results of my Echo Cardiogram, and was very straightforward with an apparent diagnosis. I'll still need 2 more invasive tests before he can go ahead with my surgery. Unfortunately for me, these tests cannot be done until Jan, 2026. This is frustrating, and a bit alarming for me. I'm not feeling well, get short winded easily and at 80, I'd like to be able to enjoying my life for as long as I have! It getting back to Dr Rasania, I'm completely satisfied with him and am happy to say he provided me with time, answered questions, and looked me in the face as we talked this time. I felt he was really engaged.

When I started my cardiology appointments with Dr. Neil…read moreDoherty in May of 2024 I felt fine. I told some friends of mine in Glendora who I was seeing as a heart doctor, and got very bad reactions and comments from them. I had already scheduled an appointment with him and decided to give him a chance. By August, I had difficulty breathing. I started having high blood pressure, felt dizzy, and had no energy. I was already scheduled for a PT scan in August, so I felt that everything would work out. In my appointments with Dr. Doherty, I have always found him to be very impatient and in a rush. He didn't like to answer my questions because of his inability to stay with me longer than a few minutes. I had a PT scan done on August 5, 2024 and saw him August 29th. Very little was discussed regarding my results at that time. I had already expressed my concerns about having difficulty breathing, as well as other health concerns that developed over such a short period of time. I felt it was not only important but essential to find out the condition of my heart, but did not find any answers from him; only more questions and concerns. I didn't appreciate his attitude and found it to be lacking in respect and professionalism. After my appointment I immediately started looking elsewhere for a cardiologist. I saw my new cardiologist yesterday and it turns out that I had a heart attack sometime before my PT Scan in early August. Dr. Doherty had the results of my PT Scan and never told me that I had had a heart attack! Did he even read the report???!!! My family is totally alarmed by all that has transpired, but very grateful now to have found and be under the care of a qualified cardiologist. Please Beware of this Sheep in Wolfs Clothing. ONE STAR is way to generous to give this dude.
