I received a call the next day of the recommended service, and once i confirmed the repairs I wanted completed, I received a detailed service estimate via email. Quality of service- 5 stars Two bikes- both required adjustments/tune ups. one is very old and had tires replaced, the other had a quite a few minor issues. Recommended work was approximately $150-200 each. I did not complete all recommend work at this time. Instead completely what was necessary to safely ride bikes a few times a month (~$120). They put together a lovely Trek Farley 5, and explained in detail the size, the tubeless tires, put on a new seat a seat post riser--and off I went for a ride into the sunset... 3 inches of snow and 4 and a half inch tires. When we were looking for a new bicycle for our 12 year old we happened into Zach's. What a fantastic happenstance! We were somewhat novices when it came to purchasing a bike, they were really helpful in choosing the correct model for him (and he loves it), they followed up with offering a teen ride with experts (both my Son and Daughter participated and loved it), loaned a bike for my daughter to use - hers was not at the level needed to go on the ride (safety and equipment), and then took them and the group for ice cream after! We have since purchased a new bike for our daughter (custom fit and special ordered at no up-charge!) had our old a creaky mountain bikes brought back to life (with maintenance / overhaul from Zach's) for my wife and I - nothing short of a miracle! Brought my bike in for a major overhaul after years of outdoor weather abuse (and bike unuse). I got a very clear and specific estimate for parts and labor, and when I reviewed it with Zach, he noted that this was to put it back in "nearly new" condition, and that I could forgo a couple of parts replacements (and labor charges) and it would still be working "great." Got my bike back in less than a week and it rode like new. Charges were very reasonable and the work was great. In less than a week, I got a flat (front). When I took it in, they fixed it promptly and without charge as being "under warranty." I certainly didn't expect that. In less than a week, I got another flat (rear). Same deal. Quickly fixed; no charge. And on top of that, he gave me a "loaner" for the afternoon. The very next day, I ran over a large glass shard and totally deflated my (front) tire. When I took the bike back in, I just told him to "do whatever you think is best." He replaced the tube with a heavy duty tube--again at NO CHARGE as it was "under warranty." I don't think I deserved this, but it was very generous and is the kind of service that will keep me coming back. Thanks Zach (and crew). In 2015, after a bike/car incident which resulted in my bike being totaled, Zach helped me with my insurance claim. He worked up a complete replacement & repair estimate which left the insurance Co no options but to give me a fair settlement. When I wasn't able to secure the make/model bike I initially wanted, because of the time of year, Zach listened and worked with me to find the perfect bike for me. Because of the level of expertise and care that was given to me I have followed Zach to his new shop. Zach and his crew have been extremely helpful, always making sure I'm ready for my next ride whether it be joining one of their groop rides or venturing off on other rides. On a recent trip to K. Falls, Zach's Bikes was the absolute first stop after spilling off the choochoo on a warm, sunny morning. With my touring bike being the only mode of transportation, I needed the lay of the land. Thankfully, Zach, he of the eponymous LBS, was gracious enough to give me the scoop on all the local bike trails, the driving habits of the locals, and the good eats of the area. He even texted me a .gpx file of a mapped route that he and his buddies had ridden recently. With that information, I was able to plan a nice, scenic route that got my little trip off to a great start. The shop itself was clean and well-organized in a long, narrow space of two-wheeled machines and accessories. You can find everything from cycling shoes to handlebars and everything in between at Zach's bikes. Although I passed on picking up some of the well-stocked energy snacks, I did walk away with a cool, Zach's Bikes cycling cap as a memento. I have nothing but great things to say about this bike shop. Zach was helpful in the past with my bicycle needs and when I found out he opened his own shop, I knew it was going to be top notch. I wanted to find a commuter bike, so I called them and told them what I was looking for, and by the time I drove in, they had one all prepped and ready to test ride (kudos to Kyle!). Who does that?! It's the little things like that that make this place stand out from others in town. I was fitted with the right bike for my budget and received the care and attention that someone buying a bike five times the price would receive. I bought a few accessories and they were more than happy to install them for me, and even helped fix my brake cable when I somehow tweaked it.
