Went for lunch. Quick, pleasant service. Great Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup was amazing. And the fried banana with coconut ice cream was wickedly good.

I was lured in from the photos they had on their front door. They had the most amazing chocken terikai, broccoli, carrot amd zuchinni meal. The chicken was so tender. The staff was very attentive and kind, I enjoyed both of our waitataff. I got iced tea. I loved my little drinking jar. I recommend eating here, it was easy to social distance and the restaurant was super clean. I'll be back for sure, they have dunplings and veggie rolls I'd like to try next time.

The food was phenomenal! Every dish was excellent from the curry to the coconut ice cream. The customer service was abysmal. Definitely do not recommend EVER trying to "dine in" you will be considered a nuisance. Take the food and run!

Wanted Sticky Rice and mangoes. They said it was out of season, my wife bought these the day before.

We always try new restaurants in our area. We've been to Thailand so we know what to expect. I ordered the Pad Thai and my wife had the large bowl of Tom Yum along with Zab Chicken wings. We were disappointed. The Tim Yum soup was just the broth, shrimp and mushrooms. Not what my wife expected. I had the Pad Thai and was given lots of bean sprouts, shredded cabbage and the noodles where stuck together. Could not mix the vegetables with the noodles. Then to top it off, we asked for Sticky Rice with Mango and was told that the mango was out of season. We'll, guess what, the day before, my wife bought 3 mangoes. We called another Thai restaurant and ordered our Sticky Rice with Mango to go. To bad, we wanted to love this restaurant.

    Balcony ("outdoor") dining area

Not a lot of splash from the outside, but this is a delightful little spot in Fountain Hills. We weren't sure if they offered outdoor dining, but they do -- in the form of an enclosed (roofed) patio area that's separate from their indoor dining tables. We had a side salad with peanut dressing. The dressing comes in a separate little bowl and is served warm! For an appetizer, we had what they called the tofu tower. Triangles of fried tofu were great. The dish came out with really hot freshly fried tofu triangles that were light and crispy. It came with a bed of small cucumber cubes and sweet red chili sauce. Served in a long dish, we were not expecting the presentation to be flat because it was called a tower--we expected at least a stack of tofu. But it tasted great, even though it could have used a little more red sweet chili sauce. For our entree, we shared an order of green curry, subbing the meat with tofu. This was the real hit of the meal. The curry comes with either white or brown rice. We chose white rice. The curry sauce was really well-flavored. Upon first taste, you notice that it's sweeter than you might expect of green curry. But it has a beautiful heat that grows into a wonderful spiciness that goes so well with the sweetness. We definitely weren't expecting this level of sophisticated flavor. Definitely recommended.

The staff here are so kind it really made the experience of having to wait a bit so much better! The gentleman at the front door recommended a wine bar around the corner to wait at after we got on the list, which was a cute divey spot. The food was delicious, we loved the papaya salad so much, there were so many flavors of spicy and tangy, and the papaya itself was very refreshing. We had the Pad kee mao and Panang curry which were also delicious. For the chicken pad kee mao we requested it to be gluten free and they gave us the same rice noodles as the Pad Thai and a slightly different sauce which was so darn good! The chicken was very tender. When the Panang curry said it came with beef, I didn't know what to think but after a single bite I was a huge fan! So many flavors hit you at once and the beef was so incredible, it was falling part. I also ordered the savory cocktail option (I can't remember the name) which had cucumber vodka, fish sauce, mint, onion, and some other goodies, and wow! It changed my life. Highly highly recommend. Overall would definitely come back here, we were a walk in on a Saturday night and had an hour and a half wait to get in.

Item M14 -Gang Kiew Waan Roti from the photos says it's served w/ roti. But we were charged an additional $3 for roti, which was not mentioned to me when putting in the order. Only after we received our order and saw the receipt did I check Google. Web link on Google works and it appears they changed the name of the item and removed roti from the name. 2. To go portions are small for the price. Chicken larb was enough for like 2 people and had only one piece of lettuce. Papaya salad was also small and 1/2 the container was garnishes (carrots/cabbage). 3. For a noodle soup, any other place would put noodles separate from its broth. My khao soi came all in one container. Forgot to take a photo while it was in the container but there's an old photo of it somewhere on Yelp. 4. Crab fried rice had barely any crab. 5. There was no white rice. Places usually provide some white rice regardless if you order fried rice but I guess that's an extra charge here. 6. We ordered medium spicy for majority of the dishes because one person can't handle spicy but everything came out mild tasting. Even my khao soi, which I ordered hot spicy level, came out mild. 7. Thai tea was missing. After ordering, I asked the person on the phone to read back my order to me. She listed everything I had ordered including the thai tea. But after the order was picked up (not by me), the thai tea was not included in the order. It's a bit out of the way from here to there so no one is going to drive all the way back to get it. I went elsewhere close by for the thai tea. The space itself is small, but the interior is surprisingly aesthetic and cozy, which makes it feel intentional rather than cramped. I usually gravitate toward the green curry, which hits that perfect balance of creamy, aromatic, and spicy without overpowering everything else on the plate. The flavors are bold but still refined, and nothing tastes muddy. The tom yum is another standout for me. It's bright, tangy, and comforting all at once, with layers of flavor that really pop. Even the side dishes shine. I'm a big fan of the chicken wings and skewers. They're seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and never feel like an afterthought. What really elevates the experience is how balanced yet distinctive everything tastes. Each dish stands out on its own, but the overall flavor profile feels cohesive. Service is always attentive, and the staff is consistently smiling and welcoming, which makes the wait feel easier. I also love that it's BYOB. It makes it super easy to enjoy a relaxed night, especially when I'm just snacking on appetizers with my own drinks. Sala Thai is a gem.
