I met with a group of ladies one Friday afternoon and there wasn't too many folks dining in. They are under new management and their menus were on paper. Our waitress was running the place by herself but she was friendly and did a good job. I ordered my go-to: drunken noodles with tofu, spice level 4. I enjoyed my dish and the spice was definitely there. I also tried the pad thai, level medium, and it was the same level of spice which was weird, should've been more mild. We came on a Thursday evening and there was no one sitting in the restaurant. The place is clean with a few wall hangings. Several people came in for take out and took a few bags with them. Each said the food is great. We have to agree. I ordered the fresh ginger and my husband ordered the cashew nut Each had fresh vegetables that were so nicely cooked. They had a nice crunch. Came here for the first time just because the other Thai restaurant closed on Monday. We walked in around 12:15 and no one was there ( no customers at all) we were the only 2 customers in the restaurant and that was a red flag, but my friend really wants to eat Thai food, so we stayed. We ordered Tom yum seafood, fresh spring rolls and pad se ew the wide fried noodles. I would say the taste were below average meaning didn't have the Thai flavor at all. I visited Thailand at least dozen times and I'm also a good cook, the food that I had at this place wasn't good at all, sorry. Although the service was great or he was just happy to see us. It's me again Yelpers..and I had a craving for papaya salad..and it was okay. They papaya didn't taste too ripe..and that was too bad. That is what makes a great papaya salad. The presentation was delightful but at the end of the day..it was okay. Yes, just okay..I wish I wasn't already full I would have eaten a whole meal. Customer service was good. Terrible experience on my first order here. I usually order from Thai House, which never disappoints, but decided to try something new. When I called to let them know the food tasted off, they responded with, "That's how we make it." Their version of Larb was just a salty soup, and the Tom Yum tasted like tomato paste. I was randomly driving around and stumbled upon this restaurant. The food was fantastic. I walked in and placed an order to go, and the staff were accommodating. I had my food freshly prepared within minutes. The atmosphere within the restaurant was very relaxed but made you feel like you were in an upscale location. We enjoyed a past order from here on a previous trip. This time we ordered the calamari appetizer and the spicy basil. The calamari was very good - would have been EXCELLENT except the dipping sauce completely dumped in the Styrofoam and the calamari was floating in it. Flavor was still good, some parts still had a nice crunch. The spicy basil (thai hot) would've been better if it had more flavor to it other than just "hot." My husband is no pussy when it comes to heat, but it needs to taste like something other than burning. Next time we are in the area, I suspect we will try again. read more

We looked at the review from more recent times and looked like they have gone back to normal so we decided to give a try again. However, we were completely disappointed again. Our order was simple: fried tofu, peanut sauce (which they charge $3.50 for!), and a shrimp pad see-ew. The fried tofu was so overcooked in the fryer that they were rock hard, the peanut sauce doesn't taste or look right compared to other Thai restaurants, the pad see-ew was simply atrocious... it doesn't taste any thing like a normal pad see-ew. There wasn't any sweet soy sauce. Instead, we were hit with a pungent taste of vinegar similar to that of a pad Thai. We would have ordered a Pad Thai if we were craving it, but we wanted a pad see-ew so it was a major flop. The shrimp in the see-ew was freezer burned and stale. Every time I've come to this place, it's been completely dead inside. Given my experiences, it's understandable why. $12.99 for a curry lunch special served with rice and a spring roll. The spring roll was good, but that's hard to mess up short of being cold. My Thai hot was barely passable as regular hot, and the curry base had far too much sugar. Sugar is really not necessary for a curry made from coconut milk. I would've given my honest feedback, but I wasn't asked how the food was. Probably because the owner already knows. I honestly wonder how this place remains in business. Living right by it, I sincerely wish this place was better. But alas, it's not. read more

This place is rather hit or miss. Some menu items are better than others. For instance, I'd recommend the Shumai, Fried Rice, Pad Thai (yum) and Pad See Ew. I would avoid the Chicken Dumplings (inedible) and Chicken Satay (rubbery & cheap chicken). Either a 1 or 5 star depending on what you get, so I'll split it and say it's a 3 star place. read more

Update: from Dec 2024 review: Short story is there must be new owner...prices up, portions down, quality mixed. This WAS our 2x per month Thai take out place. Two weeks ago didn't seem quite the same and new person taking the orders. Tried again yesterday and the Dumpling order of 7 is now 6, same price. Chicken dish increased by $3 and noodle dish by $1. Extra protein use to be + $2 now plus $3. Brown rice is +$2. I typically order medium heat, and was not able to eat my dish because too hot. I pitched. So, we won't be back. This was a great find about a month ago. Came here for lunch and the restaurant/restrooms were very clean, waitress friendly with fast service and the food was amazing. I didn't get to give them 5 stars, as didn't complete the first review. Forward to today, what a disaster! The girl serving us barely spoke English, we had to go get her to order our food, as well as each refill on water. We ordered same thing as last time, chicken Tom Yum soup (pot) and cashew nut beef luncheon. The soup had barely any chicken or vegetables in it, no taste of lemongrass and watered down. The cashew beef was supposed to be mild, came out very oily and boy, my mouth was burning! They offered to redo the beef lunch, didn't bring any new rice with it, so we had to ask again. We were the only people ordering (one table was finished and just talking) and the food prep took a long time. Needless to say, not sure if new ownership or management but I won't be coming here for a while. I will watch for the reviews (lately seem lot of folks are saying similar issue-skimming on meat, watered down soups, etc.) , so this would be one star review, hence why 3 stars overall. read more

Decent enough stop for lunch on a Thursday. It was close to 1:30 and only 2 other tables occupied so we were waited on quickly and the food came out hot within 5 minutes. We had the L3 garlic pepper wok and rice dish with chicken and 3 out of 7 on the spice scale. It was good flavor overall with carrot slices, broccoli and cabbage. It has plenty of kick for a medium spice. Veggies were done perfectly but the chicken was very thin slices and not much chicken - maybe 4 or 5 pieces. My partners panang curry with #2 spice was good and flavorful, but again not much chicken. Both dishes came with a small scoop of rice - could have definitely used more rice, especially with the curry. Veggie spring roll that came with the lunch special was mushy inside; should have been fried longer. Dining area was comfortable and clean. So overall, good flavors, just need some more meat in the dishes and more rice. read more

They have cockroaches crawling on their walls, tables and floors. We were here on a Thursday night 4/14/2022 and were the only diners. So many others just came in to pick up orders. While waiting in our booth we realized that the tiny spots on the walls were actually little roaches and the dining area was absolutely crawling with them. Once you see them you find them all over the place, even on the wall of the table of our own booth. We were thoroughly disgusted and had to leave immediately. Our kids were completely freaked out and had a tough time shaking that experience off. If the roaches have taken over their dining area I shudder to think how infested their kitchen must be. One of the few Thai restaurants in the entire Metro Phoenix area that reminds me of my Thai Mother-in-law's cooking. The Thai fried rice is "Straight out of Bangkok". My wife and I can love Thai food and are pretty particular with what we choose. We stopped in for lunch today and got their crab puffs and chicken dumplings as appetizers. Both were amazing, unsure if they used pastry puff dough for the crab puffs or wanton wraps but regardless they were delicious. I got their Osha fried rice with chicken and my wife got the pad Thai with beef! Both portion sizes were large and more than we expected which means you get your moneys worth and it's fairly priced. We like spicy food but found out their rates went from 1-7 and we asked how hot a 4 would be and the customer service was great he said 4 is pretty hot. So we went with 3's and that was still hot but the perfect amount to be enjoyable for us! It's a small neighbor and what seems to be like a family restaurant. It's nice and quiet, seems like a great place for a nice meal out with family or a date night! I would highly recommend giving them a try! read more

The employee behind the counter kindly took my order but when it was time to pay, it was discovered they were experiencing internet issues and that my card couldn't be processed. It took several tries, and finally she had me create an order on their website on my phone and pay that way. It would have been nice for them to take something off my bill or to give me a discount, because it wasn't my fault. The internet problem took a while, so as a courtesy, it would have been nice. The portions were large - I had enough pad se ew for the next day. The deep fried vegetable rolls lacked a flavor, but the sauce helped. I also got a coconut/ lemongrass soup and it was delicious! however, I only got three pieces of shrimp. I'd like to have gotten more. I'd definitely get the Pad Se Ew and the soup again. read more

Stopped here for lunch today after touring the Taliesen West (it's just a few minutes away). Glad we did! I started with the Thai iced tea which had good flavor. Next everyone got soup and a small spring roll with their lunch special. The small spring roll was nice, and I liked the soup (tofu and cabbage), but one person thought it had too strong flavor. Everyone really liked their entree. I had the green curry squid (medium spicy) which had just the right amount of heat, and the squid was very tender. Overall we walked away happy. I think if they expanded their menu a little more they could hit 5 stars. read more
