I saw this place pop up, I liked the name and it looked like a nice new restaurant so I was excited to try it out. Come to find out when I get there, they've only been open for 8 DAYS. Place looked nice inside, the aroma from the food the moment you walk in is delectable and alluring, made me hungrier in a good way. Obviously the place is called Z Ramen, so I wanted some ramen. The waiter recommended their Tonkotsu Ramen, and he added a bit of spice upon my request. I also ordered the Pork Bao Buns, Shrimp Shumai, and the Korean Fried Noodle. Tonkotsu Ramen I've always seen this ramen, it's the classic ramen you usually see in pictures, but the opaque, milky looking broth always took me away from ever ordering it. But, I allowed myself to be guided by the waiter's recommendation so I went with it. In the end, flavor wise, it was a bit underwhelming and the spice wasn't truly noticeable, but the noodles were cooked nicely, the pork was good and tender, and the egg was made very well. I would definitely like to try another Ramen dish with a more flavorful broth, because the rest of the elements were actually really satisfying. For $12.50 though I would expect a bit more food, but maybe it was just the disappointment of the broth. But it was decently priced, although I think $11 would fit better. Korean Fried Noodle (Beef and Shrimp) This looked really good. Just seeing it on the plate it was really appetizing. The beef had a nice flavor to it, was tender as well, the shrimp was really disappointing though. Heavily lacking in flavor and didn't add anything to the dish. The noodles were good and the dish as a whole was solid. For $15.75 (due to addition of Beef and Shrimp) I would say it's definitely not worth it, but just add beef or just chicken, decent deal, because the shrimp isn't good. It's original price with no added protein is $11.25. Fried Shrimp Shumai (8 pieces) This was the worst thing ordered. They weren't absolutely terrible, but they weren't good either, definitely wouldn't order again. The shrimp inside was cakey and almost seemed like fake shrimp, didn't really have any flavor. If you don't fully coat it in the soy sauce it would just be a bland squishy ball of nothing. The first one was okay because it was hot, but once it cools down a bit it gets bad. For $6.95, definitely order another appetizer. Pork Bao Buns (3 pieces) These were the highlight of the meal. Honestly I try to order Bao Buns at every restaurant I go to that offers them, and almost always the bun itself disappoints, but this one was great. Perfectly cooked, finally a bun that doesn't feel oddly gooey and raw, this bun was soft and fluffy, but cooked to perfection. The sweet sauce it came with was really nice but the pork itself was lacking in flavor and seasoning, cooked really well and great texture and tenderness, but lacking in flavor. Now everywhere I've been Bao Buns are pricey and pretty much around this same price, so for $9.50 these are definitely worth it. In the end, I would definitely give Z Ramen another try and would love to try some other stuff on their menu. Also with only 8 days of existence, they will probably just keep getting better and better. And I have to mention: Z Ramen is doing a 10 percent discount for their opening days, so definitely go and take advantage of it by trying as many dishes as you can. read more

I ordered from Z Ramen again and they continue to impress. I got the vegetable spring rolls (2 for 1), the miso ramen again (double broth and double noodles!), the spicy Korean rice bowl. Everything was delicious. I doubled up everything for the miso ramen this time because it was so good, and they did not disappoint. The vegetable spring rolls were light, crunchy, and flavorful as well. The Korean rice bowl tied with the miso ramen to be the star of the meal. As you enter Z Ramen the aroma caresses your entire being as it carries you to your table. You will be met by kind, smiling faces. The variety offered on the menu delivers the most difficult decision, that is you must choose. Since this was our first time here, we went with the Chicken Pad Thai and Korean fried noodles. Call the hazmat because there was a nuclear explosion of flavor for both dishes! This experience has given us a new favorite staple in our weekly dinner rotation. Wonderful restaurant love the naruto decorations. The spicy ramen was great with the pork belly added. Pork gyoza were also delicious!

Service was great and food was brought to the table quickly. The scallion pancakes were ok, I could've passed them up (needed more scallions). Ramen was a great size, couldn't finish it and broth was flavorful with a tiny kick to it! Korean fried noodles were incredible, definitely a comfort dish. This restaurant has been opened only three weeks and has already made a name for itself in Kendall ! We walked in and Jason immediately asked if we were there to dine in or pick up. We decided to eat in and we made the right decision. The menu was easy. You choose your base then you choose your protein and finally your spicy level. I ordered my without spice because I saw the people at the next table sweating on a "cold" day in Miami. It was the best choice for me. Once I tried it, I was able to add my own spicy oil. While there, I noticed a lot of pick up orders and also the dining area got full with both first timers and also with return customers. Service was fast and to the point yet very courteous. We were able to get to share some experiences from Japan and China. Really enjoyed the chat. We ordered Thai donuts to go. It was still piping when I got home. They were delicious. So let's start by saying I like this place. It's an easy go-to spot when you're craving a quick ramen. I personally haven't been able to enjoy their boba but maybe you will(I just don't find the kind they make here to be THAT tasty). The appetizers I've tried are the scallion pancakes ! Finally a delicious ramen spot in West Kendall! We ordered pick up for the first time today. I love the fact their ramen containers are big. Most places provide a small take out container & when you put the broth it's overflowing. Their container holds all the broth & your ramen contents without any overflowing.
