This place used to be a solid option for a basic full body massage, but retaining masseuses has been a problem. My last few massages have been well below par and my last massage, the therapist was 20 minutes late and halfway through I was internally hoping that my session would end early. It was bad. Great experience and very nice staff! I'm not very picky and was setup with a male masseuse, Michael. The deep tissue isn't for the weak but it was worth it. You'll be sore the next day but your body has to heal. But he was super kind, made sure I was okay the entire duration of the massage. As we were done, greeted me with some water before I left. It was a very sweet nice lady that hosted my mom and I when we went in, but as soon as we went into the massage room, the masseuses were extremely rude. They would laugh when my mom or I asked to go lighter, or snicker about us in their language. It was very evident and took away from the peaceful experience of the massage as a whole. I was in need of a deep tissue massage - my neck and shoulders were tight. LuLu - although tiny in stature was extremely strong and applied pressure with precision. She worked out the knots that had built up over time. Despite the sometimes pain - it was a very good pain - very tolerable. At several points- I had fallen a sleep - I knew this when she would lift my arm and let it drop slightly and asked if I was okay - I could hear myself snoring as I was waking up. I wanted to try a nearby massage place near me and Yelp led me to Yu's- thanks Yelp fam! I have Fit Bit challenges with my coworkers and do some long distance cardio during the week so my feet needed some pampering. The interior is very clean and calming with light blue walls and the receptionist was very nice. I paid cash up front for the 1 hr foot reflexology, which also included a face, shoulders, neck and back massage (clothed.) The reflexology area is the same as the lobby but blocked off with a wall. You may be with other clients in the area but they put a towel over your body and your eyes so it's not weird. The lady led me to a reclined chair with clean towels and soaked my feet in warm water. She had firm hands and and incorporated hot towels. I overall enjoyed my massage- she was really great with my feet. *Just a note that these types of massages aren't necessarily the super relaxed ones you fall asleep to (unless you can fall asleep to anything)- the massages are usually firm and are not for the faint of heart, so make sure to communicate your pressure preference. I provided tip afterwards and they gave a mini water bottle on your way out. I'd return for more treatments! read more

I have been coming here regularly (once a month average) for about a year now. I don't specify the masseuse but no complaints about anyone. They do have male and female masseuse working so be sure to specify gender if you are particular about it, I learned that the hard way. One thing to note is as a customer, you should let the masseuse know what pressure feels right for you. They go through many customers each day and one level of pressure may be perfect for one customer but might cause you pain. Just be patient and give continuous feedback, I certainly do and they change the pressure to fit my needs. Yu's is clean. I usually ask for the 1 hr body + 1/2 hr foot combo, seems like a great deal. They ask for payment when you enter, and you can charge the tip to your card too. I prefer to give tip in cash at the end, and I bring change so I can decide how much tip to give. Once you finish, the masseuse waits for you at the entrance and offers you a little bottle of water. I like that they're very accommodating to last minute requests. I do recommend calling ahead to reserve, even if it's just a little earlier. I've seen other customers come in asking for massage but we're turned away because they had no availability. read more

Getting massage wasn't part of the plan, but I stumbled on to their Yelp page when I was looking for a spot to get a mani-pedi. What did me in is that 1) they were around the corner from the mani-pedi spot I found, and 2) $70 for a 90min (30min foot and 60 body) massage. That's quite a bargain! I called the day before to make an appointment to be seen after getting my nails done. I walked in and was greeted immediately. Paid up front and was guided to get my foot massage done first. My masseuse (I didn't catch her name) made sure I was comfy before she got her work started. I love that she covered my eyes during that whole process which helped with the relaxation process. I think I might have dozed off for a bit there. It's been a long minute since my last foot massage, but boy, this was great! I was walked to a room for my full body massage next. It started out pretty good. I felt my masseuse did a great job taking out knots. And then she got on my left shoulder where she found a knot she just couldn't let be. THAT was kind painful - and that's something considering my pain tolerance is really high. It's just she went to town with it over and over and over and over for a few (but felt like long) minutes. She moved on to another area right before I got to ask her to stop and I felt nothing but relief! (FYI: A fellow Yelper mentioned his masseuse did this to him as well. I wonder if it's the same lady!) But everything else, she did great. She did loosen up a lot (A LOT!) of my knotted muscles and then some! She disappeared for a few minutes to get a hot towel to clean off the oils and/or lotions on my body. That was a little on the hot end. Same with the stones, OOOUUFFFF, scorch! The heat level needs to get turned down a bit... The next thing I knew, it was over! Booooo... I was clever enough to check the time I got started to finish. I received the full 90min service. It was nice. I got dressed and tipped my masseuse on my way out as she handed me a small bottled water. A FEW THINGS TO MENTION: 1) Drink a lot of water before and after the massage. I learned this the hard way. I was feeling a little dizzy when I got to the car post-massage but the hot towel and stones explains this. Massages relaxes the muscles and anything hot applied after increased blood flow - the heat enhances this which is why it's advised not to take a hot shower after. It's a good thing home isn't too far. I desired a nap soon as I got home. 2) This place isn't as relaxing as it can be. The noise level isn't where it should be to get be in a full relaxing state. The front door was open I can hear cars or talking people going by during both sessions. When I was in the room, I can hear people coming in for their appointments - even announcing (and me clearly hearing) what time their appointments were. The phone was also going off with people calling making appointments. I got to take a better look after my session and saw the room isn't insulated as the walls do not go all the way up. It was nice during the silence periods, but otherwise distracting and inharmonious to the zen space I was trying to be at. Good first run, though. Close to a 4, but not quite, hence the 3 for now. I don't often have the need for a massage, but I will keep them in mind should it come up again. (I'm hearing good things about a certain Jerry - maybe I'll ask for him next time.) read more

The first time I ever went to Yu's Massage was December 2019. I had never had a massage in the US before but I had to try this place because of all the good reviews. Pre-COVID, my boyfriend and I came here for couple massages, though I'm not sure if they do couples massages nowadays. In 2019 I remember having to pay up front and was asked to tip beforehand. For this recent trip, I still paid the $60 up front for the 1 hr massage, but didn't have to tip until after the appointment. Recently I made an appointment for a Thursday during my lunch break because my WFH office chair caused a lot of lower back pain that I couldn't even bend down. This time around, I got Jerry as a masseuse, whom I've heard great reviews about. I had the 1 hr full body massage. I let Jerry know I was having lower back pain and wanted the focus on my lower back and neck. While you're having your massage, you still keep your mask on. My favorite part of the hour was the hot stone massage. After my appointment, I was still feeling pain but I was a lot more flexible than I was prior to the massage. The private rooms have open ceilings, which is great for safety reasons, but you will hear talking in the lobby and cars outside of the shop. This place is my new go to massage spot. I've been here three times and have had different masseuses each time. I really appreciated Demi, she put medicine on my head because my hair was a little damp. She also put what I think was tiger balm on me, which I really appreciated because my muscles were so sore. I always ask for Demi when I come back but you can't go wrong with their other masseuses! I will say the only downside here is that it can get kind of noisy because the walls are so thin. Last time I went, the workers were talking really loud with one another, but they stopped after a while. The most recent time I went, the talking wasn't a problem. They also offer ear plugs. Terrible! I booked an hour massage with my best friend. The whole massage was painful. 3 out of 10 do not recommend. I was tense and not relaxed at all. After leaving I had to go for a walk to stretch. I got home laid down and my back is so sore it feels like I got into a fist fight and fell down 3 flights of stairs. I'm sure I have bruises. What an awesome little gem in my neighborhood. Found this place while at the park with my little one and set my hubby up. He had Sophie as a therapist and he raved about her. I went in and had an older man. He was decent but nothing to write home about. Subsequently, I went back and requested Sophie. HOLI CRAP!!! She is awesome. 1 year later and we are still visiting. I have a back injust and neck injury and they take good care of me. Sometimes I am limited in what I can do but she works around that. They even provide a sciatic treatment, which is very difficult, but I highly recommend it after seeing how they straightened out my hubby. The owner speaks the most fluent English, so I suggest if you want to convey something to your therapist, do it at the front counter before you go in so that she can translate. read more

I've been here three times already and I must say, I like this place a lot. It is clean and the style in the lobby is chic. The lady who in front was always friendly and always wore a smile those times I was here. I've had a masseuse on my first visit and masseurs on the second and third. If I were to recommend any of those three, it is definitely JERRY. I love how heavy his hands were yet gentle at the same time. I enjoyed my time, was not in pain, good pressure. He paid more attention on the areas I've complained about but did not neglect the other areas. He made sure left and right got attention as even as possible. (I know, kinda confusing. He gave extra attention to my tensed areas but made sure other areas didn't feel like it was ignored. I hate it when my other body parts feel like they just touch it just for the sake of showing they "massaged" it. Hopefully that explains what I mean.) I have had several massages here at Yu's. The front desk is always nice and easy to schedule with when I call in. My first massage was with Sophie and I requested her every time since. She gave the most intuitive massage I've ever had in my life. I really appreciate her work because it felt really healing and made me realize how necessary getting massages are. When Sophie was out of town I had a massage by Tina. Tina also gave a very intuitive massage! She also placed my legs in certain stretched positions (hard to explain), but amazing! My full body massages have included hot stone as well. Very happy with my experiences here. FYI: The walls are thin so you can hear outside noise, but I still consider these the best massages I've ever had. I've had little ladies climb on me and you would think that they have these massive muscles. If you pay in cash, it's $60 for an hour, which I think is a great deal for a massage! Yeah, sure, you can go to a fancy spot, pay over $150 for a 45-minute massage while you inhale essential oils saturated through a steaming, hot towel while you listen to soft music, but then you'll miss making those embarrassing grunting sounds when they push too hard and you're too bashful to tell them your lungs are getting crushed, because honestly, those places are too pretty for a massage that will leave you sore the next day. read more

Massage is ok, not the best but not the worst. I usually end up getting a guy to give me a massage, the pressure is ok, it helps with pain. It is not as thorough as I would like it, and communication is not great. I do not like hot towels on after my massage, but I keep forgetting to tell them no towels. It is good that you can just walk in to get your massage here. Their price is cheaper than other high end massage places and the take walk-ins. I will continue going until I find a better place. I usually get 90 minutes for $95 (when you pay with card, or $90 for cash pay, but if you include tip, it is just still that $5.00 extra fee). The owners reached out and assured me they've heard the complaints about the employee, will be resolving the issue, and that the therapist I was trying to book an appointment with, that the receptionist was telling me no longer works there, actually does still work there. This may be dramatic, but my most recent massage with Tony was life changing. Tony specializes in medical massage. He starts off by asking what your pain points are and as he works to relieve the tension explains how your body is connected and why you're having the pain. Tony is very intuitive and was able to uncover issues I hadn't even brought up. At the end of our session he gave me exercises to do at home and suggestions on how to tweak my day to day activities. LETS START HERE: Dirty bedding on massage tables, we could clearly see the marks left behind from the previous person(s) before we laid down. We had a set appointment time and waited 15-20 minutes after that for the massage team to come in. They kept talking during the massage. One guy kept stopping the massage and walking out for long extended periods of time for no apparent reason, also leaving the door open so we could hear eveyone walking by and in the lobby area, mind you we are undressed on the tables as people walk by and I had to ask repeatedly to please close the door. The man has his mask off his face and kept coughing the entire time, his nose was leaking you could hear him constantly trying suck up the snot dripping from his nose, all while not covering up his moth or nose and we are again in the same small room area breathing in everything coming out his mouth and nose. His massage wasn't a actual massage it literally was a one hand touch, he only used one hand and would just gently grab and release. There was no actual massage happening. The hot stones were way way too hot and I jumped feeling them as my skin felt like it was burned. I've had plenty of massages and hot stones before but this time I was uncomfortable, unhappy and dissatisfied with the whole experience. I'm closing they ended our two hour massage that we paid for fully in cash EARLY. Yes I said early, how do I know you ask.... I suspect things might have gone not so well when we were there on time for our appointment but we were stuck laying there waiting 15-20 mins after to get started so I grabbed my phone and kept it in my had to start the timer as soon as my lady who massages me was ready to start.
