The cost for basic grooming (no haircut, I have a short haired Dacshund) is reasonable. I was told it would take about 4 hours but my dog was ready in 3 hours. I will be bringing Penny back for regular grooming.

We have been taking our Westie Duncan to Mackenzie for a long time now. The groomers that Duncan…read morehad before was rough with him and he did not want to go to Pawfections the 1st time, but Mackenzie won him over. Now when we turn down the road leading to her shop he starts getting excited. The time before his last visit I arrived early to pick him up and she allowed me to come in and stand beside the table as she worked on him. To say the least I was impressed with the way she handles the pets and the kindness and love that she shows them. She is also very meticulous with the job that she does. This last visit we also took in Duncan's new little brother Archie, so she can start working with him and getting him used to be at the groomers. If you know anything about Westies that have what is called Westie-tude that starts at a very young age. When they pups they are ornery, won't sit still for anything and have the attitude of a dog 10X their size, yet she was able to win him over in one visit. If anyone is looking for a Groomer in the Charlotte area I would HIGHLY recommend Mackenzie, you will not regret it. Oh and she is reasonably priced compared to the other shops in the area. I reached out to the business & they stated "they didn't think to tell" me upon picking her up from her groom. A neighbor suggested we try Woof Gang, and I scheduled an appointment with Meaghan. Our dog JoJo had the best groom of her life! And I love that they offer hypoallergenic (unscented) shampoo, although it's $5 extra. Our 25-lb labradoodle was $95 + tip for this service. I've already made an appointment for JoJo's next grooming. My pup's sanitary area/back legs/behind her ears was a disaster-despite my best efforts and regular brushing. Holly was late for our scheduled time BUT she made up for it. She spent at least two hours working on her. My girl looks like a new pup, smells beautiful, no more matting, and seemed to have a great time w Holly. Holly was friendly, professional, and I'm very happy with the experience. My Jolene looks and feels better, and that's what matters most. I think a lot of these negative reviews are due to lack of communication/scheduling. Which is understandable. By the time she showed up, I was no longer expecting her to come. Please take into consideration she is traveling all over the area, and often taking clients without knowing what state the dog is in, or how long it will take.
