I'm a little upset. I brought my dog in for a full groom, nail trim, and teeth brush. All was well until we returned home & noticed her paw was covered in dried blood. I reached out to the business & they stated "they didn't think to tell" me upon picking her up from her groom. I was not aware & after paying for a full service she was sent home with dried blood in her paw. I can understand mistakes happen, but transparency & trying to fix the issue goes a long way. There was a misunderstanding with the booking of my cats appointment. The lady who called me today appeared to be very rude to me toward something I knew nothing about. It's so funny that I was very apologetic and professional with her however she was very nasty and unprofessional with me and hung up while I was talking. If you're the one I spoke to today be lucky that you caught me on a good day because I could've very easily went off on you for your attitude toward me from something that WAS NOT my fault! Thank your gods and entities around you especially after I was very apologetic over something that had nothing to do with me. In the future don't do it again, watch how you speak to people. This review is for the store. Our pup doesn't require much grooming but I may go back and try their nail trimming services. We were immediately greeted by the friendly folks that work there. A quick walk around the store and you will notice that they offer a great selection of healthier foods and treats. The prices are much more reasonable too. I asked about the Orijen's dog food in 25lb bags which they were sold out of. They mentioned that they were expecting a shipment on Tuesday but that they were pretty much all accounted for by their customers and that they can place an order for me as well. Crazy part? Same price or slightly less than the chain store I usually get it from. You'd like it might be more at this small, locally owned location but it wasn't! Super friendly folks. They were very polite and asked for permission to pet my dog which I so appreciate. Definitely recommend and would definitely return for future purchases. read more

Made an appointment over the phone, I made a $25 deposit. Brought my dog in the day of her appointment didn't know her rabies shot had expired a couple of days before her appointment. They said couldn't see my dog. I said that was fine and if I could just get my deposit back, the lady said no it was nonrefundable. I said ok can I schedule her for another day so I can go get her rabies shot and then bring her in? Also told me no, because it was for that appointment only. I went to the appointment it's not like I missed it. I just didn't know my dogs rabies had expired a couple of days before, and she just wouldn't reschedule for another day even though I already paid the deposit. Though Kristi was very friendly and they are all clearly animal lovers, the job they did on my dog wasn't that great and it was pricey. I have never paid more than $70 to have my large breed dog groomed, but I paid $85 that day. Nothing special was added to the service, that was just the flat rate. That's too much, especially for the job that was done. There are multiple, very visible spots where she got too close with clippers and left lines or bald spots, and his nails are rigid splintering from the trim they did. I would have expected them to be filed down for $85. Unfortunately we won't be returning. read more

I stopped in to this location as I had not previously seen the store open. Lo and behold, it was the grand opening (3/9/2013). The staff were very nice and answered my questions about grooming services for my poodle and my cat. Yes, I said cat. He is medium haired and could use a good bathing. The prices mentioned seem quite comparable to what we pay now, if not better. They will do the bathing, or you can do it yourself. That said, I really look forward to bathing my cat. So, I am giving this new location (the other store is in Mooresville) 5/5 stars. Of course I will update my review, once I have actually used their services. read more

Will not be going back, I have small yorkies, one is only 3 pounds and all are prone to stomach upsets when getting nervous or excited. Had to reschedule appointments for that reason, was told this last time that my business was no longer welcome unless I paid an upfront deposit. You would think if they were such awesome animal lovers that they claim to be they would be more understanding. Scott at the front desk is rude and sullen. I brought my dog in and told them to trim her to 5/8. When i picked her up they had shaved her to her skin. As a cavalier they also took away her long ears. I was livid. All she said was I thought that is what you wanted. You could literally see her skin. It was April and she had to wear a sweater for about a month. She shivered all the time. I would never and I repeat never take my dog here again. They shaved his hair because it "had too many knots". He now has razor burn, he has nicks all over his body and has an ear infection because they destroyed his hair. If you want your dog to be safe and happy and healthy do not take your dog here. Although we really liked the groomer at this location, their customer service is HORRIBLE. We have a $25 gift certificate that we won't use or even pass on to someone else, because we would not want anyone else to have to deal with these people. Back in May, my daughter tried to reschedule an appointment she made for my dog several times but they never answered the phone regardless of the day or time she called, when she finally reached an employee after the scheduled appointment had passed, she was informed she must make a deposit before booking the appointment because they had her as a "no show", even though my daughter could not reschedule because they did not answer the phone or respond to specific messages she left asking to reschedule the appointment. Since my daughter was taking my dog to the groomer and not hers, she was told if I called to make the appointment I would not be required to pay the deposit. I have tried throughout the months of August & September to make an appointment for my dog, but only received the voicemail with no call backs, even though today the owner's wife is insisting they return ALL calls. Why don't I have any messages or calls logged from their number in my phone...hmmmmm? Fast forward to today... I try giving the business the benefit of the doubt, so I call to schedule an appointment for my little mild mannered yorkie, who has been groomed there in the past. Surprisingly, the owner's wife answered the phone. She insisted that I would have to pay a deposit because her notes indicated that I had been a "no show" back in May, even after I explained to her that it was my daughter that could not reach them to reschedule an appointment and they told my daughter that I would have to make the appointment to avoid paying the deposit. Then, during this same phone call, as I'm considering paying the deposit because I do like the groomer and I'd like to use the gift certificate, the owner's wife continues to tell me she can not give me a quote for the services and if my gift certificate plus the deposit total more than the cost of the service, then they won't refund the difference to me. Of course, I found this practice frustrating & inconsiderate, so I made a comment to my daughter about liking the groomer, but not the customer service. At this time, the owner's wife VERY RUDELY says, "We don't have to take you as a client!" Clearly, they do not need our business or yours. There are far too many other groomers in this area to deal with such unprofessional business owners. Of course I do not want a business owned by such inconsiderate, rude, unprofessional people providing a service for my sweet pup. I hate to think about any type of mistreatment, but in these times, I won't take that chance. read more

While this is the best grooming my dogs have ever gotten, my NON-barkers (EVER!) are now manic barkers after 2 visits? After an absolutely horrible experience at Paws and Perms, I was in desperate need of a new groomer to fix what P&P messed up. Thank goodness I found these guys! I was very nervous taking them to someone new and wasting another $100 on the possibility of another bad groomer. We have a 10-year old Alaskan malamute who had a rough life before we adopted her. That means she can be a little skittish when bathed or groomed. But when we found Kristy and Scott, we knew Gwen was in good hands. Kristy's experience meant that she knew exactly how to make Gwen feel safe. She handles Gwen with confidence and compassion. I really just love this place because of their self dog wash station. For $13 I don't have to get my dog into my shower and make a mess in my bathroom. You can use all their shampoos and conditioners. They have towels and a huge blow dryer. It's wonderful and the people that work their are so nice. read more

I usually groom my white Goldendoodle, but I have an injury and cannot bathe him. He has an allergy outbreak on his feet and penis. I called in advance to ask if they would use my shampoo for the affected areas, massage it in and let it stay on him for 10 minutes and give him an overall shampoo and towel dry. Scott said yes and I took him in - gave him the shampoo and spoke with his wife Christy who is the main groomer. I came back and he had been done for 45 minutes. I could hear him barking before I opened the door, which is unusual behavior for him. Scott said he had been barking ever since I left, except for when he was being bathed because he just wants attention. When Scott brought him out he was wildly excited. Christy came out to inform me that she done everything asked. I just wanted to get him out of there. His collar was put on wrong, one of the clips (they found it before I left) was missing from his E-collar and he was soaking wet, as was his nylon leash. When I got him home I began to blow dry his feet and they were dirty as were the backs of his knees, there was soap on his tail, and after I got him dry the top of his head was smelly - just dirty dog. I called Scott. He said that Christy was very detailed and would I like to talk to her - I declined. read more
