Shift changes occurred and night shift is completely pushing him aside and disregarding that the doctor said he may shower at his pleasure. With a stern and judging voice, she told him to wait as she's busy with other things. I offered to wrap his arm myself and they ignored. We've been here for almost a week with no answers. After this experience, I have so much motivation to change my whole life career to go to nursing school and actually be there for people in time of need.

It had a beautiful view, but nothing else in the whole room worked. The table was cracked and the laminate was peeling off. There was no shower head in the shower. The lamp was taken apart. There were no towels wash cloths or soap. It was absolutely disgusting. I will never go back to that hospital as long as I live. They used to say Monroe was where you go to die. Well, I still believe that to be true. The staff is great, but they need to tear that place down and start over.

The staff clearly care for their patients and put their comfort and care above all things. The clinic is well cared for and well kept. The bathrooms are usually clean and well stocked. The clinic rooms are comfortable and the wait time is pretty standard for what you would expect at the doctors office. However, this is due to them thoroughly answering all questions you may have about your condition. I left feeling well informed and with a better understanding of the plan for my care.

I have now seen several of the rotating Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, and every one of them has been warm, friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. I don't know how many they have on staff but they seem to have enough to serve everybody who comes in and very promptly as well. Overall bedside manner is warm, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping you. I never feel rushed through an appointment. My most recent visit involved what I believed was an ear infection, but it turned out to be more of an ear pH imbalance and irritation issue rather than anything severe. It is the kind of condition that can often be treated with simple over-the-counter remedies, yet it still helps to have a qualified medical provider evaluate it properly and point you in the right direction. Obviously, urgent care does not replace having a primary care physician. However, if you have no health insurance, very often you do not have a primary care physician either. That is the reality for millions of people who are unemployed, between jobs, self-employed, or simply not earning enough to absorb the monthly cost of a health plan. In the age of AI and economic disruption, more people are slipping through the cracks of healthcare than many care to admit. I do not currently make enough money to comfortably carry a monthly insurance plan, and I am not old enough for the next chapter of life, which is the Medicare age. Until then, clinics like Doctors Urgent Care provide an important bridge with reasonable self-pay pricing and accessible care. A retired physician friend of mine says it is because they think you will bail if they do. When you get sick and call to see your doctor ASAP, they know you will accept whoever they have to see you at that point so they can get you into the office and assign you a new doctor. Sick people aren't choosy. I'd go elsewhere (and I did!).

Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue. I called and asked what the next step was because they never gave me a diagnosis. The person put me on hold for about a minute and came back and said I spoke to the doctor and she said I had irritable bowel syndrome without doing any further testing. I'm pretty sure I don't have IBS because I don't have most of the symptoms that confirms an IBS diagnosis. I'm getting a second opinion I'll keep you posted.
