This is my go to place to get a Vietnamese sandwich. I always get the grilled beef sandwich. It comes with a banh mi(the type of bread) with the perfect amount of butter on the inside. Along with the grilled beef, sliced carrots, pickle relish, jalapeños, and cilantro. I personally like mine without the carrots and pickle relish. First off Fresh Spring rolls...you will not find a better spring roll in SnoCo! They are the best, trust me I've tried them all and Yummy Deli is the best. Get the combo with the Banh Mi and fresh rolls. Their Banh Mi is my favorite too, they have a nice balance to meat/veggie and sweet/sour. Only giving 5 stars because 6 isn't an option. We were regulars here when we lived here and now Yummy Deli is always at the top of our to do list when we come back. We have been on a quest for the best banh mi for quite a while now and Yummy Deli is king: it is head and shoulders above any other banh mi in all of the PNW! Every time we go to a new banh mi place we ask ourselves "is this better than Yummy?" And the answer is always "no". We always get a tofu and grilled pork banh mi and a tofu and grilled pork spring roll. The banh mi here is the best I've ever had. All the veggies are fresh and crunchy, the pickled daikon and carrots are crisp and delicious, tofu and pork are seasoned to perfection and the bread is perfect: just the right softness and crunch without being too sharp. We have spent the better half of a year trying to get them to divulge their bread source and the secret to their tofu and pork seasoning (with no avail). The spring rolls are also King. Like the banh mi the fillings are all fresh and the rolls are all made to order so the wrapper comes out soft and tightly wrapped with goodness. One thing that sets these spring rolls apart from every other is this yummy crispy rolled up egg roll wrapper in the center. The prices here also can't be beat. We got two spring rolls and two banh mi for less than $16. I'd still come here even if they were more expensive. Beyond the food the service is second to none. I ordered a banh mi bo (beef), grilled shrimp skewers, and a Thai tea. Good thing I got the shrimp skewers because my banh mi had a total of 3 pieces of over cooked beef. I grew up eating Vietnamese food so I have a standard for banh mi. The beef wasn't even seasoned or chargrilled. It looked pan fried and was very chewy, making it hard to eat. The shrimp was excellent! Albeit very oily from the green onion oil brushed on top, but I combined it in my beef banh mi and that elevated the sandwich to next level :) Don't get me wrong, the fixings inside the banh mi and the baguette itself were on point. It was only the beef that disappointed. Thai tea was more milk than tea. Perhaps the smoothies are better. If I come back, I will try some of their other dishes like pho or bun bo hieu. read more

I just moved from downtownSeattle to Everett so needless to say my food options have taken a hit in both variety and quality. Yummy Deli has become my go to Bahn Mi spot. The grilled pork is honestly "just" good, but the cold cut/ham Bahn Mi is excellent. Their patê, or whatever you wanna call it, is phenomenal. Sandwiches are still solid and a great value! Meat and veggies are proportionate to bread ratio! The spring rolls are delicious however the rice paper wrapper itself is a tad more on the chewy, drier side. Love the option of combos where you can pair different entrees with its drinks and/or appetizers. I've had my fair share of banh mis in my life, but I've never eaten a banh mi and thought "wow that is so good" until I had a banh mi at yummy deli. As soon as I touched the sand which I knew I had something really special on my hands. The filling of the banh mi is really good, and everything tastes really fresh and flavorful, but what really puts the banh mi over the top here is the bread. The bread is extremely fluffy and airy in the middle unlike most places I've had which have heavier and denser insides. The outside is also extremely light and crispy, so when you bite through you feel the crispy outside then get hit with the fresh and fluffy inside combined with the explosion of flavors from the meat and veggies. This is hands down the best banh mi I've had in my life, and for $5 it's actually a good deal since the sand which is pretty big. read more

The family was craving some bubble tea so we decided to try Yummy Deli and there was no regrets at all! We door dash two taro bubble tea, one Durian and two order of spring rolls! The durian bubble tea was delicious! I don't know if they put any real durian in it but it taste so fresh and I felt like I was back home in Vietnam eating some fresh Durian from the market! The taro was delicious too but I think it would of been better if the drink was a little bit thicker and not too liquidity. Spring rolls was cheap and not like other places where they charge $7 to almost $8 for two spring rolls, Yummy Deli charged you $4 which is a fair price! The sandwiches (banh mi) are great. The bread is super soft yet the perfect crunch on the outside and is filled with whichever meat you choose and a nice portion of crunchy veggies. The Pho is quite flavorful and filling. Lastly the egg rolls were basically oversized lumpia, crunchy and with a slightly sweet filling that went well with the sweet and sour sauce that comes with it. Yummy yummy in my tummy! Banh mi: delicious! They make their own bread and it's by far one of my favorite sandwiches I've ever had. It's really fluffy and soft and the bread to meat ratio is perfect. It's similar to a thin crust pizza, it has more emphasis on the toppings than the bread. Some places buy their bread and it's waaay too thick with the meat ratio, but not here. I love how the bread is thin enough but still provides that crunch with everything. I got thit nuong which is grilled pork. The meat was a little saltier than usual even with the veggies but a cup of Thai Tea or water will easily fix that. One sandwich is good enough for one person. Location is kind of hidden. Next to a gas station but the front is faced away from the main street. Overall, I really love the Vietnamese bread here because it's really soft. The ratio from bread to meat is more like 1:2 and I prefer it that way. It's flavorful, satisfying and yummy! Highly recommend! read more

I stumbled upon this place around Halloween, while picking up some supplies from Party City. After reading Camille C's review, I ordered a Vietnamese sandwich and egg rolls to go. I've returned several times since then. In a nutshell: tasty food, nicely sized portions, great price and friendly service. Food: I've had heir pork sandwich twice. The type of roll they used is different than what I'm accustomed to (more of a wider oval than the football shaped bread) with generous amounts of meats and veggies. They toast it perfectly so it's nice and warm on the inside and crispy on the outside. I've also had (beef) pho twice and felt the broth was more flavorful the second time around. My first experience wasn't bad, I just wasn't blown away by it. Although they have 2 sizes, I've only ordered the small. It's a good sized bowl and after mixing up the pho noodles, it pretty much fills up the entire bowl. Price: Their prices are hard to beat. The cost of an appetizer and a bowl of pho here is comparable to a bowl of pho at the place I eat by work. Other comments: The staff is super friendly and food doesn't take an unreasonable amount of time. The place is clean and when you walk in there is this warm welcoming smell of broth. For the affordable price of 3.95 they are delightful! I had the bbq pork, and wife had the grilled pork. All sandwiches come with fresh veg on them, including jalapeños, which were tasty but not hot. Tried this place a couple weeks ago for lunch after signing papers for the new place. Grabbed two sandwiches and the spring rolls to go. I ordered a grilled chicken Banh Mi and a BBQ pork Banh Mi. Both were yummy. Being Vietnamese, I know my Banh Mi and Pho, and their Banh Mi is pretty tasty. I haven't tried the pho yet but it smelled aromatic and yummy. I will be back to try other selections! This place had THE BEST Vietnamese sandwich I've ever had, hands down! It's not hard to make this sandwich good, but this place goes the extra mile, for sure. The bread was not too thick, it was soft and warm, the perfect compliment I got tofu and was expecting basic tofu squares like normal, but NO, this tofu was marinated in teriyaki, it was delicious, I devoured it so I don't have a pic to post I also got the tofu veggie spring rolls, and after the sandwich I could only eat half of one of them, but I was pleasantly surprised to bite in and get something crunchy in there. As a white guy that has never been to an asian/Vietnamese deli, but has has pho a few times, I sincerely enjoyed the sandwich! I ordered the #1 (grilled pork sandwich), because the helpful lady behind the counter said that and the grilled chicken were the most popular. Reading the reviews here a month or two ago, I recall people saying the pork was the best, so I chose that (even though I rarely eat pork). There may have only been 2 pieces of pork that were a bit gummy, and even then, they weren't bad. The sandwich had a few slices of cucumber, a lot of slices of onions and carrots, and some... green leafy vegetable. Not certain what it was. lol. It had a minty taste or whatnot. I took it home and treated it with Sriracha sauce and Frank's Buffalo sauce. Tiger sauce (it's not actually sauce from a tiger. lol) seems to be my favorite though.. For around $4.50, it was a great sandwich! Aesthetically, it felt really light and looked small in the packaging, but after I opened it up, it looked much larger and became quite filling. Excellent experience for a first-timer! lol. [Update: 10/01/2015] It's been a while since I've been here, but the last time I went (a few months ago), I got beef or steak or whatever it is and it was so gummy and chewy that I pretty much didn't eat any of the meat. Yummy Deli is one of my favorite places for banh mi! It is conveniently located by the Fred Meyer's on Evergreen. It's by the gas station. This place does get busy and I can see why! I love their yummy combos! You can get a banh mi, appetizer, and a drink for a good deal. The bread they use for their banh mi is probably the best bread I've ever had and it doesn't cut up the roof of your mouth or leave you thirsty like you were stranded in the desert. Haha. Try their banh mi with a fried egg! It's amazing! And their beef stew is also great! I like that you can either get it with rice, noodles, or bread.
