For a local buffet I think they do pretty well, I stopped going to buffets a long time ago and recently started visiting Yummy. I was pleasantly surprised and do come back once in a while. No issues at all food and drinks are good, service is good, the ambiance is nice and quite not too loud, the price is really affordable. 10/10 experience. We stopped after my sons martial arts tournament in Floresville. We were curious as to why it wasn't crowded on a weekend..again we didn't see to as red flag..we never learn. Everything was just off. My son only ate the dumplings. We tried it all, it just seemed stale. It wasn't great, but just above horrible. When we got home, both me and my wife got sick. My husband and I ate at yummy buffet in Pleasanton because someone recommended it however we were highly disappointed. Food was cold and we let the waitress know and the guy behind the cash register know. All he did was apologize and the waitress the same-they both apologized and that was it. It seems like every little town has their own Chinese buffet. I go to one in Floresville called tasty Buffet, and I think it's owned by the same family. The food at both the buffets are just about exactly the same. The buffet is always hot clean and well-stocked, and the sushi is pretty good. There is also always coconut shrimp at both of these buffets. So when in Pleasanton, stop at the yummy buffet, and when in Floresville stop at the tasty Buffet. . read more

Wasn't sure what we had brought to us "cat, dog?" took a few bites and that was enough for us. When asked if everything was alright and if wanted a to go box we said no, the manager grabbed a unused spoon off our table and took a bite off both of our plates and then proceeded to say "it's fresh, nothing wrong with the food, maybe you are not hungry" still got charged full price for 2 plates that didn't get ate. my fiancé been sick since all day today. Went here on a Wednesday. Saw four, Really fat guys - eating, actually everyone was obese to morbidly obese. Life Hack # 147: dont spend your free time here. So . . . Ate the first coarse. Food was pretty good! They have the standard buffet stuff. Nothing extraordinary. Decided to get dessert. The dessert again, was standard. Jello, banana pudding, fruit, and some cookies. What sets this place apart is the owner. He came over and cleaned away our plates and table. He was very attentive and kind. I've been at places where they just dont care, ( U Ben hea four hour, you go home now) but this made me realize that if I'm ever in jordanton again and I have the craving for Chinese buffet, I'll definately do a "stop by here." When I read the reviews I thought there's no way it could be as bad as some people claimed. I mean you don't go to a local town buffet expecting five star food. You expect some more than questionable albeit edible food, and some lackluster service to boot. This place takes those aspects and personified them in the entirety. Inedible food, with the audacity to even charge for it, terrible service with disgusting ambiance (if you could even call it that) and an overall knowledge of impending food poisoning is all I got from eating here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You'll live longer playing Russian ROULETTE than with eating here. It's easy to tell all employees are mentally checked out and it definitely reflects in the food here. This buffet makes sure to keep its food fresh at all times. They're only a few things in which it could improve: 1. the sodas aren't properly caffeinated. 2. A couple of variances in the menu would come as a pleasant surprise. 3. A Mongolian grill could provide new excitement for this veteran establishment. read more

This Buffet is GREAT!! They even have scoop your own Blue Bell ice cream for dessert. I eat here often. The food is really good, and they are constantly tending to the buffet line and bringing fresh food. The waitstaff is very attentive, but they speak limited English. Even with the language barrier, they are very friendly and constantly patrol making sure glasses are filled and dirty plates are removed from the table. The manager is the cashier as you leave and always asks how was the meal. Overall, I'd highly recommend Yummy Buffet if you're in the mood for Chinese food. read more

We were incredibly disappointed. I figured all Chinese buffets were about the same- WRONG! The food tasted like they were leftovers from the day before that were heated up some. Everything we had was chewy and cold (imagine attempting to reheat those leftover greasy French fries that you took home thinking they'd be ok reheated....that was the quality of the food). Temperatures were all wrong. The only thing hot on the buffet that was supposed to be hot were the soups. Everything else, well, let's just say we're hoping we don't get sick. Yummies is one of the best Chinese buffets I've been to. Food is always great! Always fresh, and the sushi here is much better than the sushi other buffets provide. Only negative thing i would say about this place, is in agreement with another commenter who left a review; The soda tastes really weird, im guessing its not actual Coke/Dr. Pepper ? This place is as good as buffet gets when it comes to Chinese buffet. The wait staff is very attentive to all your needs from the time you step in until the time you depart. The manager is very into your opinion upon paying for your meal. Every waitress wears a smile on her face and makes sure your drink stays filled to an adequate amount. Was taken here with two friends and an acquaintance...our server wasn't the friendliest of the bunch. The lady who took our drink orders had a sunny disposition and was sweeter than the lady who came to serve us refills.
