I came down to Floresville for graduation. My Aunt invited me to go eat at the Tasty Buffet with her and my Uncle. This is the second time I've been here, I live in Marble Falls and I wish this place was closer...the food is absolutely delicious!!! The wait staff was very nice and attentive and it is probably the cleanest restaurant I have ever eaten at. I had my service dog with me and they did not make a fuss which I do appreciate and we did ask to have the back room and they were very accommodating. The staff was friendly as soon as I walked in. The restaurant is nice and smells clean. The restroom was also clean. The food was the best part. They offer fresh sushi, a variety of fried foods such as fried fish, fried rice, egg rolls, and other delicious items. Although I did not have any dessert, they looked very tasty. The last time I ate the buffet, I was sick afterwards. Looking at the buffet some of the things were not very fresh and honestly I'm not really sure what gave me a sick stomach, but I was definitely sick after eating there. I will not be going back. read more

I live in the area and have never stepped foot in this restaurant. That has been a mistake. I was instantly greeted with the most cheerful welcome and smiles, and I mentioned how taken aback I was to receive such a welcome. I was seated and brought my beverage within minutes. The food was better than I had expected and the selection was terrific. The quality was really good also and hot. The staff consistently changed the trays when things got low. The ambiance was okay, looks dated but it flows with the surroundings. I have added this place to my list of restaurants to visit for buffets. read more

This is the only Chinese buffet in a 30mi radius. Not a bad thing, just be forewarned. Staff is friendly, food is hot and the dining room is spacious and has plenty of seats, for such a low populated city. My only real "complaint" is that most or the meat dishes are chicken. Other than a few sushi options, most meat is chicken. Besides that, I like coming here after work, for early dinner. Everything is really hot and fresh at that time. read more

If I could give this review a 3.8/5 I would. This restaurant can be really good or some days it can be very off. There are days that they have lots to choose from, there are other times it slim pickings. We have done take out with them and I believe that's the best way to eat there food. Went for dinner (630pm) to try it as I've always seen it from the road. First looks at the food it's your average Chinese buffet with the normal items. Rice, soups, noodle, dishes, sushi, etc. I tried the egg drop soup and when I got the bowl back to the table the egg was gray. I didn't take a pic but I should have. Got a plate with a mixture of rice, pot stickers, beef n broccoli and chicken n broccoli. The rice was cold and there was a hair wrapped around a piece of beef. I told the guy up front and didn't want to make a seen, shit happens. He said that all he could give me was 10% off so for 2 people it still came to $30. I will not be back but just wanted to post my experience after seeing this restaurant for years on my 181 drives. read more

This was my first time eating here as I was passing through and it was 3 p.m. And the food looked pretty fresh on the buffet all I got was something to go by the pound which was the thin Chow Mein noodles and coconut shrimp the coconut shrimp was delicious with a very thin sauce that wasn't too sweet or sticky. I will get this place at 4 this time until I get to sit down and try the full Buffet but everything looked fresh and the next time I'm through here which is about once a week I hope to sit down and eat the full Buffet. read more

We always enjoy our meal at Tasty Buffet. There's a good variety of dishes and it's always put out fresh. Sesame chicken is my husband's favorite dish. I like the beef/broccoli or chicken/broccoli best. We come for lunch sometimes during the week and also after church on Sunday. We like the buffet and not having to wait to be served on a busy Sunday when so many people are eating out. Hubby has a variety of sweet treats for dessert but I prefer the ice cream. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We are staying in Pleasanton and drove 28 miles to this place based on the reviews. When we arrived we did the normal walk around and noticed nothing was fresh and it was a very small selection for the price.
