Was on a little road trip to see our old friends to the north and happened upon this little spot called yummies . This was our first time here, having only just moved into our house at the end of May last year. This was some of the best ice cream I've ever had. It was creamy and blended with all of the right flavors. They have a fun drive through, with a walk-up option. We took full advantage of driving through since we had two rambunctious kiddos strapped into their car seats. I ordered one scoop of the Max Black PB Attack in a dish - if you love peanut butter, this one is for you! My husband ordered the Strawberry Banana smoothie - also smooth and creamy (and cold - brain freezes galore - a definite must for smoothies!). We had the kiddos split an M&M Razzle since they do only have one size (zero complaints on that one) - two toddler-sized thumbs up! And finally, my mother ordered the Heath Razzle - she said that they were very generous with the Heath pieces, but her tip is to have it made with chocolate ice cream if you're a huge chocolate fan. Came here after a beautiful time at Letchworth. It was about a 20 min drive with their own parking and a drive through. We parked the car and walked up to the order window. The server was friendly and cheerful. I ended up ordering the dark chocolate raspberry truffle in a baby cone size. I love the size options! I wish more places did this. My dad got the butter pecan baby cone. We sat in the outdoor seating area in the back. We both loved our ice creams. There's a baby, junior, small and then larger sizes. There's also a drive thru window which is pretty convenient. This place is busy so despite if you go to the window or in like you'll be waiting. There's a cute little patio where you can sit out and they do pints. They have some packed pints for $5 for you can choose from the others on the list for $6. Came across this place on a whim on the way home from Woodstock, we all mentioned we were in the mood for ice cream and low and behold , we find Yummies! I had a snickers cheesecake cone! Omg, words can't describe how great it was! Then just this weekend we stopped after Letchworth arts and crafts festival. This time, I had a butter crunch cone but it was my friend's lemon blueberry ice cream that blew me away! They carry such unique flavors of ice cream that is super creamy and not overly sweet. You can also bring a pint of ice cream home for about $5! They are now closing for the season, but I'll be back next summer, now that I discovered this diamond in the rough. read more

Oh man, what is better after a long day hiking in Letchworth than stopping at Yummies on the way home? Nothing, well aside from finally taking your shoes off and showering when you get home. I went here for the first time last year at the recommendation of the staff at the visitor center at Letchworth and boy was it nice! Yummies stayed lodged in my brain and I'm soooo glad I was able to make it back to them today. For one,they have a drive thru! Two- great outdoor seating under a covered patio with nice chairs. The inside has cool blue and white vinyl booths and fun photos of the community on its walls. Three- their ice cream is good (at least half of it house-made I think) and the servings are generous. Four- the staff was really nice. You can tell this place is one of the warm weather standbys of the area. It was really bustling with people when I was in there and you can tell the community loves the place. My one negative is the parking can be kiiiiind of weird around there, so be aware you might have to park down the street from them if you go. Still, this place is definitely becoming my post-hike tradition. read more

When I worked at YMCA Camp Weona, it was my favorite place to go on my breaks. Yummies is a family owned place with what I believe to be homemade ice cream. Decor is cute and there's a nice enclosed outdoor patio if you want to enjoy the day. Yummies also boasts a drive thru. I always get the cookie monster ice cream (vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips, Oreos, and cookie dough) and topped with soft serve vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. A small is big enough for me... They will put both flavors and make your dish overflow with goodness for just over 3 bucks. Now that's a bargain. The only bad part about Yummies? It's not open year round and it's an hour away from me. Otherwise, I would go daily. read more

The staff was very very friendly, and one scoop was huge! The interior was so cute and they have outside seatings. I ordered a "small" cup of sea salt pretzel and caramel swirl. Sweet caramel, sea salt, crispy pretzel go really well together. The first three bites are yummy. But it was too sweet to continue eating and I got thirsty. I personally prefer less sweet taste. When I picked up my son yesterday at Camp Weona after his summer of being a Camp Leader, he told me we just HAD to stop at "Yummy's" on our way home (not that it is exactly on the way home) because it's been a leaders' hang out and they have FANTASTIC ice cream at GREAT prices. Always happy to check out places that my son likes, and being an ice cream lover, I was eager to try it. The service was a bit scattered, but I didn't mind at all once I tasted the DELICIOUS home-made ice cream! Great flavors are available like Oatmeal Cookie and Raspberry and Dark Chocolate...... My son had a triple scoop of "Cookie Monster" (vanilla ice cream with cookie dough and oreo chunks) and I had single scoop of "Coffee and Cookies" (coffee ice cream with oreo chunks). Both (of course I tasted his!) were creamy, chunky, and absolutely delicious. And, at just over $6 for both, it was a great deal as well. I can see why this is a hangout for the camp staff.
