I was having electrical problems with my Ram 2500 diesel truck. The batteries were draining down…read morefor some reason and after sitting for two days did not have enough charge to start the truck. I had just replaced the batteries less than three months ago. I was directed to Precision Automotive by Accurate Automotive because of the diesel engine. When I brought the truck in Chris listened to my detailed explanation of my problem and decided to first check the condition of both batteries. His employee tested both batteries and both tested at 100%. I then discussed the situation with Chis. He said he would need the truck for two days, and then gave me a detailed explanation of the process that needed to be gone through to find the problem. And told me if I was handy I could do it myself, at least down to finding the circuit causing the problem. Then it would require knowing which parts are on that circuit to find the problem. At this point I did not have the ability to leave the truck for two days and since we were heading back home to Idaho soon, I would have my mechanic there help find the problem. I then tried to pay for the work and information provided but Chris would not allow me to pay him. If your in the Yuma area and information provided the need of service or automotive repairs you should give Precision Automotive, Diesel & Transmission a try. Took my Jeep in to have a growl looked into with the transfer case. After inspection, I was advised…read morethe tranny is the culprit. So after a rebuild tranny, and a teardown of the transfer case to check, I got a call telling me the rear main was leaking. I should have went in to look because I had no leaks prior to this visit. Its the integrity of the mechanis that would perform work on a vehicle that was clearly unnecessary thats in question. I had to return the jeep because they did not get the new rear main in right and it did leak. They did another rear main. This was in december 25. Now in April 26, the rear main still has a drip, but I went to change my oil and found they put a bunch what looks like JB Weld around my oil drain plug. After that much $$$ I should not have any issues, yet here I am. I sould have fixed it myself, and now I guess I will.
