Initially, it tasted like what we've come to expect, good ol' fashioned game day food in Louisiana. The fried shrimp was scrummy, but then the fish was a little...funny. So I pushed it aside for the waffle fries to find they were not only packed to the top with scraps - but with pieces of a fried, melted, plastic utensils. Vile. There was no way we were leaving our seats, missing the game, to run down 4 staircases and halfway across stadium to return it. So $30 into the trash, after a couple of shrimp and 3 waffle fries. Had to see Tulane play at a home game. Online tickets were easy to purchase, even got garage parking at the Loyola garage. It's not the one next to the stadium and about a 5-10 min safe walk. On the way you can stop by the LBC and go to the campus bookstore to get team gear. There are several entrances into the stadium and the security checkpoint staff were all very nice and quick. Once inside there are many food choices available. We got the combo basket at Dooks, it was great at first but then found the first layer of waffle fries covered the bottom of the fryer bits. For that price, do better Dooks. Will eat elsewhere next time. It was very easy to find your section and seat. Not sure why so many people have a hard time realizing what section they are standing in. It's well marked. Stadium was clean and nice. Would go back again. read more

I love every single experience I have at the Yulman Stadium. This stadium is one of my favorite stadiums and I love when I get a chance to watch a football game. Literally I call it a baby version of the Superdome because I there isn't a bad seat in the whole entire stadium. The coziness of it all! Great food and located in Uptown New Orleans. After checking out the Saints on a Thurs night game we talked about going to the LSU game but couldn't find an easy way to get up to the game and back within the same day without renting a car. We decided to check out the Tulane homecoming game instead and didn't really now a ton about Tulane outside of a few players in the NFL. Bought our tickets and the day before game day we found out it was homecoming for Tulane and we ran into some parents visiting NOLA to catch the game. There were a few parents of students at our hotel and we got some tips about the area. We hopped into our Lyft an hour or so before the game and got as close to campus as possible. There was some traffic control and police had a drop off area for taxis and ride shares which was pretty cool. It was pretty obvious where we had to go so we followed the path and ended up with a couple of groups heading into the area. It feels like campus was built around a sub division. As we were walking in, it was a really nice smaller campus. The stadiums for baseball and football both seem pretty nice from the outside. We got to the gates and they checked us in really quickly. Staff and alumni are super friendly. We grabbed some swag which was a bit pricey and then some beers. We did a lap in the area just to see what was around. The stadium is pretty small and had bench seating. If you can bring something to sit on it might be a bit more comfortable for you. Food options are very reasonably priced. Lots of different beer options. The stadium is pretty small but overall a great atmosphere. You will run into issues with trying to grab a taxi or any ride share post game. Best option is to bus back into NOLA or wait a bit for Uber/Lyft to get drivers back. read more

What a nicely appointed stadium. It was a hot summer night you would think for the cost of the school that they would have some type of indoor seating arena, I guess I'm just privileged and wanted way too much. The parking and the walk to the stadium for someone that has disabilities could be a little taxing so try to get dropped off at the door. Once in, under the stadium there are large fans. There's a small selection of drinks and food for sale. Didn't notice a ramp for wheelchair but I'm sure there is one there was stairs leading to ceiling. You definitely want to sit on the side that has cushion chairs with backs because if not you'll be left to sit on bleachers and if you're over 40 you know what that means. This is a great hang out space for college students and alumni. Locals should catch a game or two just to go back to your old high school days. Was a good experience! read more

My my my!!! What a nice Stadium. Tulane Alum should be proud. Nice, spacious. Ample seating. Adjacent parking lot!!! Yesssssss!!! Here for the St Aug vs DeLaSalle game... The MARCHING 100 was in FULL EFFECT & WOWed us with these talentry & half time field show. The stadium was about 2/3 full; this made things all the more comfortable. The stadium is VERY NICE and well kept. I felt super secure as the bike patrol cruised the parking lot. Well lighted walkways. $5 parking was ok. $12 for the game, ehhhhhhh, I missed the gradual hike in high school game ticket prices... But ok. I look forward to more games at this stadium. read more

The campus of Tulane is beautiful, and the relatively new stadium they built on campus to encourage more students to attend the games is fine, but does not really work to draw the student crowd. As one student told us later - nobody goes to the football games. We attended to watch the University of South Florida Bulls barely defeat the Tulane Green Wave (side note - is a green wave like a parade wave?). One side of the stadium held a few Tulane alumni, one end zone held a lot of us USF fans, and the other side of the stadium held almost no one - ditto with the other end zone. The seats we were assigned were all bleacher seats; you can rent a stadium seat for $10 and have a cushioned back rest to lean on. Because the stadium is so small, you really feel close to the game. However, that feeling is also reminiscent of attending a high school football game between two not very popular teams. I do love that they passed out pink Breast Cancer Awareness shirts to everybody upon entering, and exiting we all got 2 boxes of jambalaya mix - score! read more

3 years ago, Tulane debuted their new stadium in an effort to increase attendance and excitement for the Tulane football program. I must say that first of all, It's a beautiful addition to Campus and the stadium is just the right size for Tulane. Im not sure of the capacity, but it's a much better fit than the cavernous Superdome. One side has 2 decks (partially covered) with more comfortable stadium seating and the other side has metal bench seating with no backs. (Spend a few extra bucks and sit in the seats with backs and the oportunity to get out of the sun for a bit). The layout is nice and the food and drinks are plentiful and not too terribly priced. In addition to the traditional stadium food such as popcorn, nachos, etc.. Superioir Grill and Seafood has a booth and sells some upscale items like Duck Confit sliders, seafood dump truck fries and more! Plus there's a nice beer selection and even a specialty "Green Wave" daiquiri. The only downside Is that parking becomes complicated since the nearby streets are shut down to parking with "local traffic only" barricades manned by police. It can mean a lengthy walk if you don't cab it or get dropped off. I think there was a sense of "Bulid it and they will come" mentality with this stadium. Although it's been a slow and gradual increase, over the 3 seasons, I have seen more excitement for the program and this past week's Homecoming festivities sure drew a nice sized crowd. I'm glad to see Football return to campus and see locals who aren't alumni, support the team as well. I myself am a UNO graduate but am the daughter of a Tulane Alumna (proud graduate of Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane actually). Oh, this is a cool aside. This season the school offered free tickets to current students of neighboring NOLA schools as long as they shows their school ID. So UNO, Loyola, Dillard, Xavier and SUNO students could join in and support another home team school. Kinda makes me wish I was still a student instead of paying my full price ticket, but oh well, I'm still supporting the Home Team!! read more

The stadium is gorgeous. Hubby, Son and I had a blast . We played UCF and we lost . However, lots of people came out and supported Tulane . The ticket people at the front gate was kind . However , the seating attendant was very rude to anyone that they wanted to . They really need some training on the right way . Tulane has done a really nice job with this stadium and it has really revitalized the fan base and made games a lot more fun. The Tulane games in the Superdome always seemed to be missing a lot of energy from the "crowd" which never seemed like much of a crowd but there is no lack of that here. The facilities are top notch and this is a great addition to the area. Tulane has done a great job managing crowds and traffic so there really isn't a lot of noticeable burden placed on the surrounding neighborhoods. The only things I'm not happy with are that they don't allow kegs in the tailgate area and they are also following the general trend of being the PC police and blatantly violating the civil rights of citizens as they have rules that fly in the face of the First Amendment: "Refusal to remove or turn inside-out clothing deemed offensive or obscene upon request by stadium personnel" and "Possession of any unauthorized banners or signs" along with their "Rules of Conduct" that further outline restrictions on speech. Any infringement on civil rights should be intolerable at any University and free speech, even when offensive, should always be respected and held sacred as the free exchange of ideas and language should be the basis of any place of learning. We've had incidents in the news recently where people will find offense at almost anything so these restrictions on free speech under the guise of being afraid something will be deemed "offensive" are just ludicrous as you can find someone that will be offended by almost anything these days. Overall this is a great stadium and Tulane provides a fun experience and they just need to escape the PC police nanny state attitude that is just un-American and allow keggers back where they belong at tailgates. read more

I'm not a Tulane alum so I think I am more likely to give a review that isn't bias. I went to my 1st game here a few weeks back to watch Tulane play nationally ranked Houston on a Friday night. The game was also televised on one of ESPN's 37 channels. I'm pretty sure this game was on The Ocho. The stadium is not that impressive. I've been to a ton of sporting events and venues in my life and while I wasn't expecting Cowboy Stadium in terms or technology or Tiger Stadium in terms of fanbase, I was expecting more than Hoss Memtsas stadium on the Westbank. It felt like I was watching a high school game except Jesuit vs Holy Cross would draw a larger crowd. This place is very low budget which is smart since about only 637 people go to the games. I know I sound mean but seriously why build this place? The football program almost went defunct 5 years ago and the new stadium feel has already worn off in only 1 year. If the stadium isn't going to draw more fans, then they should have stayed at the dome. The food is not very good and the beer is the boring Coors, Bud and Miller but they do have Abita. The atmosphere is non-existent. There is zero excitement in the stands. That's huge for the college football experience. A better team equals a better experience. read more

I always enjoy going to games at Turchin, whether for Tulane or high school baseball. The stadium is clean, easy to get around, and the lines for the bathroom and concessions move pretty quickly. Parking can be tough for big games, but luckily I live close enough to bike or even walk if necessary. Parking was easy, but we were given a parking pass with our tickets. That helps. We were on the upper level but had a great view of the game. I don't think there is a bad spot in the entire stadium. This is a great place to watch college baseball. TU did a great job with the design and the layout. The only thing I don't like about the field is the tan carpeted baselines. Yuck! Totally unnecessary. And the food is pretty bad. So my advice especially for a Friday game- Go to Felipe's, eat some Mexican food, drink a $3 margarita (or 2), then head to Turchin. read more

I'll start with a "Roll Wave Roll" as my alma mater deserves such a cheer and did a fine job with their new home. Horseshoed into campus is this modern stadium. Kudos to the Architects, planners and construction people who pulled this off. The place is great. Small but great. Nice venue even as the program should be bigger than such a smallish place that doesn't appear to have much room to grow. Still it's our on campus home and its just right (for now). We tailgated on the quad before the game, got some free beer, LOL , from other tailgaters who had too much (amateurs!) and walked over. The place is sleek and you're up close to the field. The stadium sells beer (nice) and has a few vendors who sell Tulane gear (cool II). A little disappointed that there's only one large scoreboard with a video screen. The other scoreboard is smaller and not very good to look at. But the place feels like a stadium and is small enough to manage around. While I have (fond) memories of The Dome, this place fits the program and the school. Well Done Tulane! Well Done ! read more
