Instructions were easy to follow, but had to ask someone in the office for help. She was super friendly and walked me to the service desk. This company was a nightmare. Arranging to have my items shipped took 2 weeks for them to contact me. When I called back there was no answer until I escalated through customer service. I set my delivery for a Monday and it didn't show up. I tried to contact them during the week and there was again no answer - even their own customer service couldn't reach the warehouse. The items arrived Friday with no prior contact other than "we're on our way". When they got here, the driver was rude and continued to shame me because I couldn't lift anything due to back surgery. When he did unload the contents, he literally dropped them from the elevated bed onto the ground. The items and the pallet they were on were both damaged and obviously mistreated en route. I wish I had known I could have refused delivery. Seriously - if someone ships you an item through these people - just cancel the order. They are a complete nightmare. read more

I am an independent contractor making my living billing my time out to my clients. You've heard the term "time is money". Frequently when manufacturers ship products to me via Yellow I end up losing money. Either because I sit waiting for pallets that don't come when scheduled, or because the product is damaged beyond use. Yellow freight is a garbage company with garbage policies and even worse customer service. I'm recommending to my clients that they not use Yellow freight. I recommend you don't either. read more

Terrible terrible horrible service!!! They have been sitting on my shipment for days and don't even change the delivery date on their website. I called them and after waiting 1 hour for them to pick up, they transferred me to the facility where my package is, just to tell me that they don't have enough drivers and that they are falling behind schedule, so I have to wait until they can send it out. What type of company says that?!?!?! They don't even take responsibility of their lack of organization. They even told me that if I wanted my package, I could just go to their facility and pick it up myself. What?!?!?! I bought some furniture; how am I suppose to pick my things? There is a reason why they were hired. Please be careful and when buying anything from any store that needs to have a freight company delivering your stuff. Worst freight experience ever. It took dispatch a week before they called me, then scheduled two delivery times and didn't make either. They came up with every excuse possible to NOT deliver what they were paid to deliver and I finally picked it up myself. And it was be myself, very little help from the dock hands who seemed over worked and hated their jobs. Mike the foreman didn't give a damn and customer service and jumped all over the idea of "sending it back". In the future I'll research the product and shipping options better!! read more

Lost my $4,000 generator, shipped to the wrong terminal, left on the terminal for 3+ weeks, lied about it being loaded for delivery, lied about trying to call me (per the call logs), lied a second time about it being on the trailer, then HUNG UP on me several times when I called to find out why it wasn't delivered. I actually have to go pick it up and transport a 500lb generator that I PAID for shipping. This is fraud. read more

I ordered a replacement cover for my spa from out of state... the manufacturer chose YRC Freight as the delivery company. I read all of the reviews and was NERVOUS. My experience was nothing short of amazing. I called yesterday got a very pleasant and helpful lady on the phone who scheduled my delivery for today (I though next day service?! too good to be true). Nightmares! Paid $500 shipping fee for 5 days delivery, now it is almost one month I still not receive my package! Is it still a company?

Customer service is not helpful, they find ways to make delivery the sole responsibility of the purchaser. They consigned delivery to another local company who refused to deliver to my driveway with liftgate service, which is what was paid for. They said they refuse to drive on gravel roads even if it is to turn around. So they will return to YRC, and when I called them they basically said theynhave no control,over that, it's within the allowable decision process of the company to decide if they can make a delivery. Ok, how about figuring that out before consigning a delivery? now YRC has to do it again, and what if the next company they consign to refuses? Apparently it is my fault because they refuse to use a smaller truck, which they have in their inventory, to make delivery. Useless. read more

We have been held hostage by these clowns while they have managed to miss a critical delivery for seven consecutive days. Worst experience I had so far in my life regarding Freight "Services". They scheduled the delivery for Friday 27th of January and they called me on Thursday that the train got delayed, so they can deliver it only on 1st of February (Wednesday) between 10am and 1pm. I had no choice, but to accept it. When I checked their online tracking on Friday it showed that the package is in Seattle, however they needed 5 more days to deliver it... So, today it Wednesday 2:20pm and they are still not here, they didn't call me, so I called them. I went through on 5 different person to get information, but no answers. Finally, I was able to reach the dispatcher and he told me that it should arrive before 3pm as the driver was caught up at the Navy Base, but there is nothing they can do about!?? Really, is that not your job? Is that a freight company or not? Based on my experiences it's not. If you can avoid them, then do so. read more

They udder shit. I've been calling every day for a week and a half. Every time they say they're on route to pick it up and give me a time. But every morning I come into work all my pallets that were supposed to be picked up the day before are still there. They give me the same excuse every time. Customer service is basically non-existant. Only reasons it gets one star instead of zero are: 1) Yelp doesn't allow zero stars; 2) they at least have online chat so i don't have to call in order to be connected to the non-help-desk. Experience: Delivery ETA Monday - they say they will call to schedule time. MOnday ... i haven't heard. I contact them. They say "sorry we're not delivering today because we are waiting on info from shipper... call the shipper we can't help". some story of payment dispute between them and shipper (why do they accept and schedule delivery if that's the case?) call shipper (vendor i bought from)... they say they'll resolve... still nothing. 3 days later... still nothing though they say the payment issue was solved. In these trying times of social distancing and the need to be innovative in celebrating specialty occasions and family the company dropped the ball and failed to meet even their basic demands. Good thing the test of us are trying to facilitate the new needs of the community and working harder.... Weeks in advance we ordered 2 kayaks to supplement our double to accommodate the family for a Mother's Day social distancing celebration on the water. Ordered from Sams club $600 worth of kayaks with guaranteed latest delivery May 8- called and confirmed. The latest delivery was Friday before Mother's Day- perfect! Received call from YRC that shipment was due to be received early and could be delivered Thursday but scheduled for Friday to "be safe" and "ensure" ... excited all set for a special Mother's Day together. Made sure I was home to receive shipment. Waited... waited... called YRC no answer. Waited and finally was able to get through to be told no delivery for Friday... alleged delivery received in their center Friday and despite it being 2 pm and we live 23 miles from their center couldn't be delivered until Monday- no weekend delivery avail... I asked if they couldn't accommodate an afternoon delivery for the latest promised delivery date- answer No. sorry we will put a note in it to ensure it goes out Monday... well 1. That is no big leap of customer service it was supposed to go out Friday. I call bullshit on received late. 2 apparently while operation depends on one women who called in sick and deliveries didn't go out as scheduled- really we all and company at mercy of one lady...also, nobody contacted me to let me know there would be no delivery or apologize or offer pickup or other options- they just let me sit and wait! Epic FAIL for this company and I will let Sam's Club Cost Co WalMart and all other companies I order from know I will not order from them if my delivery is being delivered by this substandard poorly operated and uncaring poor customer service company... thanks for ruining a difficult to celebrate pandemic Mother's Day FAIL!!! Not sure why 0 stars isn't an option...I spent 20 minutes on the phone explaining where I'd like a shipment left, wrote a note explaining where it should be left, and spray painted an X for where it should be left... Oh, also left my cell number, but came home to a box trashed on my driveway with multiple pallets underneath. Worst service and professionalism ever. We recently bought a hood and the company we purchased it from sent it through YRC. They would not deliver our package on time and they want to wait a week to deliver to our area. So we had to drive an hour after we had already paid for shipping to the house. When we got the hood back home we realized they didn't give us all of our packages. Now they refuse to deliver the package they missed. Worst customer service I have ever seen they are a waste of money and time. read more

So there will be 3 pics. I called ttc today for this driver who neatly hit 2 of us. 4 lanes 2 of which were turning left onto Hwy 512. It's 315pm and he's in the far left lane. As we merge onto 3lsne highway in an intersection that's very busy this chump turns on blinker n begins merging into us. No stop no looking. I blade my horn n swerve into the far right of merging traffic hoping to dodge this creep who needs to have dsl removes. The car behind me swerved to get behind his double freight. Wth!!!! My dash camera on since driving in pierce county is like human frogger...get him so close at higher speed merging into me. He didn't care. Then you see a pic of him driving away as fast as can be as I tried to catch up yo take pic of driver. He knew he screwed up as I followed him toward hwy 167. Horrible customer service, as stated below. Don't use this company if you can avoid it. I arranged to pick up an item at their tukwila location and they said they would email me the info I needed. When I didn't receive the email i called back the next morning so ask them to re send it. They said they couldn't find my name in their system and I would have to go in on Monday morning and try to sort it out. I explained that I had already arranged shipping through an airlines and I needed it to be ready for pick up first thing Monday morning (which is the arrangement I made with the person the day before). She was of no help and basically said I had to take my chances. I asked her to connect me with someone at the tukwila location (i was speaking w/ someone from their 1-800 customer service line) and she said no because they were busy. I asked her to have them call me directly and she said no. WTF do not use this Update: I spoke with someone the next day who was extremely helpful and kind. And really went the extra mile to make sure I got my package in time to drop it off at the airline cargo facility to make the scheduled shipment. read more

Absolutely the worst. I've been waiting for delivery of my shipment for three days. Called and Dispatch put me on hold yesterday for 45 minutes. Was on the truck yesterday and they finally called me at 5:30 (after business hours) to say they couldn't get the shipment off the truck because their was another heavy shipment in front. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They gave a delivery date on the 17th and its been well over a week and they have not delivered the product. They keep lying to me telling me it will be delivered the next day or that it will be marked as "HOT" but then fail to deliver it. I read the other review and it's definitely on point their customer service with the old lady is rude and she sounds miserable while the younger gal is nicer but doesn't know anything and can't answer any questions. They gave me a window appointment of 12-4 today but their independent truck driver took it upon himself to show up at 9 and when I called him about the 12-4 timeframe he says oh he's independent so he does what he wants. So they might not be back. It's Wednesday now and I was suppose to have it by Monday but they didn't call to set an appointment on Monday because they said there weren't instructions on the date it was supposed to be delivered. You would think it would just be as soon as possible. I won't ever use this company again. read more

Horrible experience, no communication with the customer. They did setup something through the email so that I could see the status of my freight however it basically did no good.... Because you can now see that your freight is close enough that you could just get in your pickup to go get it instead of waiting for the delivery to your house.... I requested a phone call from someone to schedule delivery, 6 calls later.... still no response from this company. With my last call to the company....Dale was absolutely rude to me and just hid behind the company saying Jamie Martinez should be scheduling the delivery however has no idea what her hours are or when I would receive a call. Dale referenced me to the manager Harry.... 35 more minutes on the phone later and I'm still on hold. Harry said they have no idea when they can get the delivery out to me. The estimate was setup for the 24th and today is the 26th... I understand that it is an estimate however why don't they update the estimate or give you a better idea of when your delivery would arrive? Multiple phone calls to this company and disregard for the customer.... What a horrible company!! Here is the rest of the story! I received a call on the 26th letting me know Reddiway would take the freight out to me. The arrangements were a delivery between 11:00 to 2:00 pm on 6/2/17. I received a call at 11:00 the driver asked if I owned a pickup truck...... because reddiway won't be able to deliver because he has a 45ft truck. I explained to him that both the road I live on and the driveway will be no problem, my driveway is a huge circle driveway so it should be easy to maneuver. He said you'll need a pickup to come meet me so that you can accept your delivery.... sooo..... I drove down in my truck to pickup the 200lb piece of equipment..... ZERO Stars is more like it! I represent a manufacturer who regularly ships freight to all 50 states and Canada. At 10 AM this morning, I scheduled almost half a truckload of merchandise to ship to 2 different customers, and these YRC halfwits never even bothered to show up as scheduled. I called my logistics Company late in the afternoon, who called YRC, who told them that I had called and changed the pickup date to tomorrow, which was a complete lie. These people apparently have forgotten that their purpose in life is, which is TO MOVE FREIGHT. Their sister company New Penn is no better, with the exception that New Penn tends to destroy more freight lately. I would strongly recommend not using either of these companies, as they obviously don't give a crap about their customers. read more

Ordered two large glassless mirrors that were completely damaged due to mishandling. I filed a claim with them, which was a six week process with several long phone holds, and they just rejected it saying the mirrors must have been damaged before shipping even though there was significant denting to the box (who ships broken mirrors?). Absolutely terrible package handling and customer service. I wish I had looked at the Yelp reviews before arranging shipping and I would never have used this scam company. Go elsewhere! read more

I can't speak to what kind of agreement was struck between the manufacturer and this freight service but I was not pleased with their service. I was instructed by Stendmar services for my couch that I would be receiving a call from the freight service to schedule a time/date for drop off delivery. The instructions in the email were very clear not take time off work or schedule helpers until this call. I never received a call to set such time up, only a voicemail was left the night before letting me know that the couch would be dropped off SOMETIME the next day. That day was a Thursday and I worked, so imagine my dilemma as I couldn't just stay home all day. I called YRC the next morning as soon as they were open and asked what time they would be out at my place? They lady informed that she could not supply a specific time and only could give me a heads up before they would be there. I told her I needed at least an hour, which she said would not be a problem, that she would inform the driver to call me. I did NOT get a call 1 hour before, but 15 minutes before. I work 20 minutes away from home, so obviously the driver made it there before me. I had to drop everything I was doing and call my family to make it there. The driver seemed nice enough until I found rips and tears on the packaging and had to take apart the packaging to inspect the couch to make sure no damage was incurred. I was instructed by the manufacturer that if I did not inspect the couch before signing for delivery and there was ANY damage that it would make filing a claim very difficult for repair or replacement. When I finally signed the delivery papers and thanked the driver for being patient he seemed very bent out of shape for having to wait. YRC regularly delivers to our business, the freight we receive is normally damaged, late and lost. When freight claims are filed YRC always adds insult to injury requiring that we mitigate THEIR loss by selling the product at a reduced rate! I just paid YRC Freight more than $1,000 to shop household items from Seattle to Indianapolis. The items were lost in transit for over 3 weeks, and ended up going from Seattle to Indianapolis, then back to Seattle, and back again to Indianapolis. YRS staff were absolutely no help during this period of time. When my three pallets of household good arrived, the items were completely crushed! An antique bedroom set was destroyed and several items were stolen/missing. I filed a claim conservatively estimating the damage at $1,500 and was just told by the YRC Claim adjuster that they might pay the claim, and if they do it will be based on weight, so i will receive a $10 check! Never ship with YRC. Customer service was horrible and they destroyed an entire bedroom set and several other items. Its Criminal! read more

I purchased a field mower (325 pounds) from VT manufacturer. They shipped the crated mower to YRC Seattle Depot so I could pick it up. It arrived on schedule and YRC person Kathy called me. I'd found the crate would be 45" wide too big for the 40" space between my compact truck bed wheel wells. I told Kathy. She said, "You can do it. We have all sorts of people loading all sorts of things". I headed down to their depot - a large facility where you go 10 mph with blinkers on for safety. A gentleman led me to the crate. Bruce in a forklift rolled up. He said, "we can normally use pallets to raise the floor of your truck bed to the tops of the wheel wells and then the crate can sit on the pallets and tops of your wells". He returned with 3 pallets and set my mower crate on top of them and we ran out to my truck. Bruce did fancy fork work to set the pallets and my mower crate into the bed - it worked! This all happened very fast. I roped the crate in place & traveled 50 miles home. Kathy encouraged me and Bruce solved my problem. These people were great! read more
