Pho was amazing!!
Gilbert R.

Great food and friendly staff l. Nice little restaurant inside the casino. I'd recommend the pho, especially when it's cold out

Beautiful ambience. Despite some challenges, I was satisfied with the overall experience. The prices are fair for the casino. We went late at night when it was not busy. Drinks were available in cans - to be poured in glasses with ice. We saw many things that looked interesting and new on the menu. I ordered the most expensive rice bowl, an Indonesian entree, called beef rendang. It is a spicy, rich, and creamy Indonesian/Malaysian beef stew made with beef, spices, and coconut milk. What I received looked appealing except it was very dry and lacked the spicy coconut milk sauce on it. I immediately asked the server about it and she brought it back to the chef. The manager immediately came over and rectified the situation. I ordered the entree of curry noodles. It was spicy & good yet it was not what I really wanted at that time. When it came to pay the bill, we noticed they had comped my meal and taken off the beef rendang. My husband said his fried shrimp with rice was so so. I bumped my rating to 4 stars since the service was excellent towards us despite the problem we encountered and my dinner was satisfactory in the end.

First ones to arrive at opening. First time dining in as well so everything was clean and tidy. We looked over the menu online beforehand since it was our first time visiting. Don't waste your time doing so, items offered were different and when I honed in on the lemongrass pork chops, they didn't have the lemongrass and was left choosing something else on the spot. Don't expect a complimentary refill as every glass will be paid for. Our server although sweet, kept placing our food in the middle of the table instead of in front of who ordered it. And while only having just one other table during our visit, only visited back once after food was dropped off and that was to bring our to-go box and tab. The manager swept the floor asked how things were and was already walking off to the next table as we answered. For the price point my husband and I just expected a tad bit more since we heard amazing things about the restaurant. Flavor was just okay. Amount was fulfilling. Service was entry level.

Chicken satay with peanut sauce

The Youyu servers and restaurant were amazing! I ordered the chicken lo mein was delicious. The chicken was moist and tender and the noodles were beautifully sauced with crispy onions and green and red peppers. No additional sauce was needed to the entree. The chicken satay was grilled to perfection and accompanied by a tasty peanut sauce. The shrimp springs were crispy and served with a sweet and sour sauce.

The best Thai cuisine we have had in the area. Absolutely delicious. The most amazing peanut sauce…read moreon earth. Curry is fantastic. The soups are otherworldly. The service is excellent. I cannot say enough good things!! Go hungry and often. We do!

My wife and I ordered from Pho Lao Kitchen Der for takeout. We are quite versed in Thai cuisine,…read morehave only become interested in Vietnamese cuisine in the past few years, but are completely ignorant of Lao food. The portion sizes here are huge! Here was our order: -Shrimp Salad (Summer) Rolls: 10/10...the rolls were twice the size of rolls you get at other Thai places for the same price. But with the peanut sauce, they were transcendental. That peanut sauce could be bottled and sold en masse. So so so good. -Papaya Salad: 7.5/10, very refreshing, but with a secret hit of spice on the back of the palate that wakes you up. Crisp, fresh, healthy. -Larb chicken: this was a first for me....to my unrefined palate, it tasted almost like ground chicken cooked with pho spices/herbs. I ended up drizzling some of the leftover peanut sauce on the chicken which was amazing. Again, lots of protein and vegetables, perfect for health-conscious folks. 9/10 -Pad Thai: this is my wife's safe order that she always uses as a litmus test for restaurants, and it did NOT disappoint! She said this was her favorite pad Thai EVER, and with drizzles of the extra peanut sauce and lime juice, this dish was truly elevated. 10/10. -Mango Sticky Rice: 100000000/10, my lord I don't know how I lived my life without this. It's reminiscent of peach cobbler in my opinion, but with mango. The sweetened rice isn't overly sweet, which allows the sharpness/sweetness of the mango to shine. The mango itself was perfectly ripe, whereas most mangos tend to be sickly sweet and mushy from overripening. All in all, this is our new favorite for Thai cuisine in Tri-Cities, and my introduction to Lao food was beautiful and filling. We will absolutely be back in the future, as I'd love to see how Lao pho differs from Vietnamese pho. Plus the mango sticky rice is etched into my mind permanently.
