My daughter and I just had to go here after having gone to a similar place years ago and loving it. We had a blast!
The workers here are very knowledgeable and friendly. We were directed to go pick out a piece we wanted to paint(prices were on bottom of piece)and to wipe the dust to prepare for painting. After that, we were able to just paint. I'm not an artist at all in any way, but this is very relaxing and fun. They have many pieces to pick from and tons of colors to paint with.
We were offered hot cocoa or water to drink while we worked. I had the cocoa and they loaded it with whipped cream. I don't know if this is something they do because it is close to Christmas or if they do it all year, but it was a very nice surprise.
You definitely lose track of time while you are painting. We got there soon after they opened on a Sunday and left just before closing. After we finished and had put our paints back on the shelf, we left our pieces(and our mess)on the table and payed the price of our piece plus the studio fee (I think it was 8 dollars or 8.50)and left. Then, a week later we returned to pick up our finished creations.
They do parties, too. It's a great group activity or just a way to unwind after a long week. I would recommend everyone try this sometime. You don't have to be an artist and it's so much fun! read more
