Latest service was a drain replacement The extent of and costs for each project varied, as we expected, but the promptness in returning calls and showing up, the professionalism and courtesy are always consistent. We joke that plumbing is a dirty job, but Jason and his team keep it all contained and clean. He definitely leaves things better (fixed/replaced) and cleaner than when he got there. We've had to work with him from out of state to address concerns with a recent local service, and he honors his workmanship warranties, not to mention patiently ask questions to understand the situation before diving in to figure out what, if anything, is wrong. Jason is a no-nonsense, straightforward guy, which we really appreciate. He doesn't haggle, tells you whether he can do the job, how much it would cost, and when he can do it. We've read some of the negative reviews about Service King, and honestly, some of those comments sound a bit more like the result of a bad experience that the customer also played a part in. In our many interactions over the year with Jason and his crew, we feel like he has invested more into ensuring the work he does for us is the best. This is why we have called him back so many times. At this point, we just accept whatever price he tells us, though we feel he is very fair and honest, because we trust he will take care of our needs. For an aging home, we still have a long list of services we can call Jason on, and at some point, he will have helped us update/replace pretty much everything that helps this home run. If that isn't trust in good, quality service and work, then we don't know what is!

They worked in a manner to protect items in the area from damage or getting soiled. They made sure our drain and sewer lines were open and draining properly. When we opened the door to the little closet the tank is in the venting tubing had fallen apart and was on the floor. Thus we were exposed to hazardous gasses! We called All Suburban to ask them to come fix their bad work and they told us that's not warranted and we must have had "high winds" in our house!!! High winds in our home?? In the little closet the water heater lives in??? Then the customer service representative suggested someone BROKE into our home to ruin the hot water heater venting!! They are incompetent and crazy!! The new plumber also discovered the water line shut off was corroded and broken. Shoddy work and no customer service. A good company would have sent someone out immediately to resolve a potential dangerous situation. What a SHIT company! They could have killed us!!!! It cost us $$ to have it all fixed properly

I've had the bathtub…read moreback up halfway from drain clogs (luckily a tub and not a shower that has a smaller basin) a few times in the past year or so. So, I have some clog issues too often. I've had other plumbers come fix it, but the problem keeps coming back. I saw good reviews for Pipe-Line and decided to give them a try (also, my past plumber was out of town). Mark arrived the same day on time (I hope I remembered his name correctly) and did an awesome job! I'm not a plumbing expert of course, but, I've hired many and seen what they do. I can say Mark not only seemed way more knowledgeable than past plumbers I've worked with, but, also was very helpful, and, put up with me asking a lot of questions! If you have plumbing issues, I recommend giving them a call!

We originally had issues with our HVAC (AC) not cooling properly for the first and second levels of…read moreour home. In the past we had another HVAC service firm whom we parted ways with due to unsound business practices (they suggested replacement of $5,000 AC units even though they only had a small leak. The other firm also replaced parts that could have been fixed and there was a pattern of constant upsell and overcharging (we verified this with independent professionals). This led us to Cork's here in Huntley, and it was a great decision. Cork's sent someone very quickly, even though there were many other customers with similar issues this time of year. Gil did the original inspection and then Frank (owner) came a day later as we had to wait for the coils to defrost completely, which made sense. Both were very knowledgeable and trustworthy. They did not give me a bunch of BS about replacing the entire unit, but rather refilled the Puron and injected a dye/sealant. We will monitor it over the next year and call them if we notice issues. They suggested that these 2008 units should have a decent lifespan (possibly up to 20 years if built well) and that most repairs can be done part-wise as things are properly diagnosed over time and replaced. This built a lot of trust with me out of the gate. All of Frank's employees work directly for him, not on commissions, and you don't get the sense there's a constant 'upsell' or 'vague rationale' for larger more costly replacements. The other very great experience was this. We had two toilets that for over year now have been refilling their water tanks on their own constantly (and increasing water $). I replaced the intakes and flappers myself twice to no avail. Frank took the time to fix both toilets in a matter of minutes and knew exactly what the problem was, right during the service for the HVAC. It was nice of him to make the time as I know he was already in hurry to his next appointment but wanted to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Over this past summer we did a bathroom and a complicated kitchen remodel. He flawlessly installed 2 new toilets, bidet, new vanity, new kitchen sink, garbage disposal, faucet and dishwasher.
