Getting glasses is a personal thing and it's more than frame-fashion, it's about the health of your eyes. What's great about Your Eyes Image is the combination of how thorough and knowledgeable Dr. Maher is, as well as the entire staff and the lab used to create the corrected lenses. I have worn glasses since the age of 12, so I have a reasonable expectations. After choosing a nice pair of frames over the holiday I was looking forward to picking them up but not prepared for the most complete correction. I was so surprised! I wear bifocals and have for some years and grown accustomed to "how I see" with my glasses on. This is different, it is the most complete-correction I do not feel like I'm wearing glasses at all! Important to note I do not have progressive lenses I have the block of reading correction built into this lens, but I don't see the line anymore. I just feel like I have my vision back! Yes, there's great advancements in the high-index plastic but a great correction also requires the right Rx and the staff was so thorough with all the options, landing on what was just right for me. The doctors are very well experienced. They have answered all my questions and provided information that I wouldn't have thought to ask for. I've noticed the machines they use to test my eyes are different compared to when I've gone to Kaiser or Costco. My prescription is more accurate compared to what I had before. I always believe that taking care of my eyes is an investment so I don't mind spending the money here. They offer an amazing selection of brands and styles. And if they don't have something I wanted they can get something close or better to it. Thanks to the staff all the women in the front end helping out. They all have excellent customer service demeanor. Specially Melissa who has helped me I've gone back multiple times and by now I thought I would get annoying. I came here with my partner. We both needed new pairs of glasses. It was our first time and it had great reviews. Plus, my brother referred us to this place because he is a patient here. My brother is fully aware of my experience and he said to speak up because they've always been nice/ accommodating to him. First impression: The person who opens the door for you is welcoming and polite. The Dr., made me uncomfortable because he started asking me questions about my race. He even told me that the Mountain Winery has concerts in Spanish for Mexicans. Okay? Super inappropriate. My partner and I did not have the same Dr. After the exam, I was led to the other room to try on the glasses. We measured them to fit my head. Everything was fine. The person was not super friendly, She seemed to be busy, which is fine. Before I left, I paid $300-400, just for mine. The person didn't explain what I was paying for or why I was paying that amount. When we left, my partner said he's never paid that much for glasses. I called her and she tells me they charged me for a contact lens trial. Are you kidding me? They charge me for a trial without telling me. I told her she never explained that to me. Instead of offering to reimburse the money, she tells me she can order contacts for me to try but they'll have to order them because they don't have it. When I went to pick the contact lenses, it was the same exact box I was already wearing. There was absolutely nothing different. Correct me if I'm wrong, It's not a trial if my prescription hasn't changed and you're giving me the same exact box i already wear. During this same time, I gave birth to my daughter which is why I wanted the glasses. Since I gave birth and had complications, I was not able to contact the office :/ When they finally had my glasses ready, around 1 month later, I couldn't see. I had horrible headaches. I couldn't wear them at all :( The prescription is so off. They're useless. I couldn't see with my useless glasses. The contacts were only a trial lens so now I have a newborn and Impaired vision. They took $300-400 and I didn't get my money's worth. When I emailed them to let them know, they said, "Our policy is any re-check is allowed within 90 days from the exam. Also in that time frame if glasses need to be re-made it would be at no charge. If its past 90 days from the exam date the cost would be in full for a re check as well as re-making the glasses. If you have anymore questions please let us know." I emailed her back and explained their error and how I desperately needed to get them re-checked. She said, "We can schedule appointments for a new exam but it would be out of pocket. I know time goes by very fast but 90 days is the maximum time allotted for check ups at no cost." I never received another pair of contact lenses for my so called trial. All I received was my existing prescription and glasses that are not adequate. I am left feeling devastated and cannot believe the audacity they have to charge money for something I didn't ask for and without an explanation for what it is I am paying. It's so disappointing to have paid for glasses and I can't wear them. My insurance won't cover them again for another year and this place obvi only cares about money. I completely understand they have a policy. I had a serious reason for not having been able to call and let them know about my glasses sooner. As soon as I had the opportunity to call, I did. Perhaps, an exception would have been nice. Furthermore, the prescription for my partner's glasses were off too. He absolutely cannot wear them at all because he was having severe migraines. I also informed them about his situation but they don't seem to care about fixing their errors. I'm not sure if it's the Dr., who didn't perform a correct eye exam, but it's so weird because this has never happened before. Plus, I still can't believe they ran my card and didn't tell me they were going to charge me for a contact lens trial. I've been going here for over 10 years. My wife has been going here for six or seven and my kids have been going there as well since they were old enough to need eye exams. Just recently I went in for an exam. They tried to tell me not to go in for the exam because I wasn't eligible for frames until November, it didn't matter that it had been over a year since my last eye exam they seem to only care that I wasn't going to be buying frames with this visit. I like to get exams anyway just to see how my prescription changes. They seem mainly concerned with the fact that I would be in for an exam and not spending any money on frames and lenses. The day of my appointment I was running late. I called them to let them know I was going to be about 20 minutes late. They said they'd rather reschedule so we rescheduled for two weeks later. A few weeks afterward, I get a letter in the mail saying I'm being charged a $25 cancellation fee for my appointment. I called them and remind them that they are the ones who told me not to show up and reschedule that I was already in route and willing to go to my appointment. I reminded them that I've been going there for over a decade and both my wife and I have double insurance and get a lot of glasses from them. They didn't seem to care and they still insisted on charging me $25. I told them please send me and my wife are current prescriptions. We are going to be finding another doctor. This isn't about policy, which they said was 15 minutes. This is about good business decisions. You don't take a family of four who has been going to your office for over 10 years and spending Lord knows how much money on overpriced frames and lose their business over $25. I was a customer of Your Eye image for close to 15 years. I had a great experience with Dr Maher and other doctors in their office for a long time. A few months back I left a voicemail the day before my appointment to ask if I could adjust my appointment by 10 min as I had an important meeting that would cause me to be a few minutes late. The next day I called again and spoke to Shannon. She said that I could not be accommodated and that I would need to reschedule. Shannon also said that they would charge me a $25 fee since I couldn't make my appointment. I was shocked when I was taking proactive steps to alert them and request some flexibility. I asked that this "no show" fee be waived as I was very upset about this as I was attempting to be courteous and after being a long time customer. Shannon said that she would discuss this with the doctor and call me back. Two weeks passed and no call back. I contacted Shannon and she responded that it was not going to be possible. My husband and I have decided to find a new optometrist given the poor customer service by the administrative staff at this business. Dr Maher, We enjoyed having you as our optometrist and want to let you know about this poor customer experience with Shannon. Charged 500 for glasses WITH INSURANCE. Wanted over 1000 for just a second pair. 1500 for two pair is totally ridiculous. So I get just the one pair. Went in today to pick up and when I put them on. Not one change on how I could see. It was like ZERO prescription in the lenses. My sight didn't change even a little. I asked for a refund and they said that was not an option but I could see the doctor some time next week. Took a month since I first called to make an appointment and now I have to start all over. If they could not get them right the first time why would I want them to examine me again. It is not like they were close and maybe just a fine tuning, THEY WERE SO BAD I THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE AND MAYBE I HAD THE WRONG GLASSES. So now I have to call my insurance company and request the give me my money back. I shouldn't have to do that, but they acted like oh well. I would NOT recommend this place. I got such a bad appointment with this woman. When they ask you to compare how you see with the lenses they show you, she wouldn't give me time to respond. When I asked her to show me again she wasn't very gracious. They charged me $75 just for my prescription. I'm going back to my optometrist in Sunnyvale. Very disappointing. My wife and I did our annual eye exams two weeks ago. I couldn't find a pair of glasses that met my needs but my wife bought two pair, at a cost of over $1200 after insurance. I found a pair of goggles that I want to purchase online. Something this store does not even carry. However, I needed my pupil distance which was not part of the info from the exam. We were heading over to pick up my wife's glasses so I called to see if they could do that measurement for me. I was told that since I was not buying the item from them (again, something they don't even carry) they were going to charge me $25.00. And what makes it even worse, we have been customers of theirs for 20 years! You are not allowed to enter, you have to call a number posted to the door or wait for someone to come get you. The office manager then gave me a couple of slots in July to which I said I'd call back to decide. 15 minutes after my appointment time they call back and leave me a voicemail saying I've missed my appointment and that I'd be charged $25. So - I call em back and ask what's up with this and I'd already said that I needed to reschedule. We agree that she'll check with everyone in the office to see who I spoke with. Turns out I did speak with the manager but the manager said I confirmed my appointment. Don't people usually call to change their appointments? So infuriating. Anyway - I'll pay the $25 but will be taking my business elsewhere. Would suggest you do the same! I've been going to Your Eye's Image for 20 years. My experiences have always been good, until the most recent (and last) visit. I had an appointment that, due to a long business call, I was 11 minutes late to. I was told that because I was more than 10 minutes late, my appointment was cancelled and I would be charged $25. In my dozens of appointments over the years, I have routinely waited more than 10 minutes to be seen. It would seem their time is more important than mine. And then there is the matter of the $25 dollar charge. They got their $25 fee, but at the same time lost two eyeglass prescription sales, which routinely run $400 or more each. My family and I have been using Your Eye's Image for eye exams, contacts, and glasses for at least 25 years. I've been extremely disappointed with their service the last several years, but, spent a couple of years thinking that all businesses have a bad day, new employees, etc. I finally made the break from them after multiple unhappy experiences with eyeglass repair, problems with eyeglass delivery delays, rude interactions with both staff AND optometrists. My daughter still made an appt with them, driving 45 miles to stay with a familiar office. This is after they wouldn't help her with her special contact prescription without an exam, and they were closed due to Covid for a couple of weeks - not really their problem, I understand, but, they should have plans to accommodate clients by extending their prescriptions. Anyway, she got caught in traffic, called to say she would be about 10 - 15 minutes late. They told her they couldn't accommodate her!! Good to know I made the right decision. I'm a supporter of local business, because they usually support me back. Your Eye's Image doesn't care. I'm a new patient and made an appointment with Dr. Maher for my son, as a 2nd opinion for astigmatism. Dr. Maher was pleasant but what the review is for, is the length of wait for my sons glasses. The appointment was 10/24 and I paid for glasses the same day...I was told it'd take a week. It's now 11/8 and I had to call to follow up. The receptionist who answered is telling me they just shipped the glasses and I'd have to wait another week or two. This is ridiculous and I'm losing my patience. They need to set an alert in their computer system for patients who are still waiting for their glasses that are over their estimated time, for them to call their insurance to follow up on the order and so their patients have a better eta on their glasses and to expedite! If vision and customer service is a priority to keep clients and get referrals then I suggest working on this matter. I'm pretty upset my son has to wait even longer just to help him see clearly in school when I prioritized for him to get checked. *Thank you Dr for the response. Ahyde was assisting me and was very understanding of my frustrations and did what she could to ask them what and why it's taking so long. I appreciate her and her efforts. I would advise against going to this business. My mother had to go here because it is listed as a company under her insurance, and had horrible experience. When she received her glasses back she was given the wrong frames. Not only were they the incorrect color, and brand, they were too small for her face! She brought them back and the woman at the counter told my mother that they are her frames, she remembers. Really, you remember!?!? She has been wearing those frames for 3 years and I had them for 5 years before I passed them on to her. The woman offered no apology and treated my mother poorly. Ridiculous! First off, I was at The Eye Works in Cupertino. I am kinda sad that I have to go to Morgan Hill when I have to get new glasses, or get a prescription. But I follow Dr. Baker. Not only because she is a good optometrist, but I am also her niece. Not to mention they are through in checking your eyes. I dont get the bad reviews on here. I mean you get what you pay for I mean like I said they check many aspects. If there was a mistake in ordering glasses for some people, it is not the office's fault. It's where they order from. Though I have NEVER had a problem. The staff to help select glasses they are really good in doing so. I like blue... now there are not that many blue glasses because obviously you know the styles these days, black thick frames. I wanted some cats eye glasses. The staff in the front office must have been there for me for about 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes- all the whole time with smiles on their faces and trying to help me. Expensive! I was a returning customer but not anymore! Two years ago, I needed to order another set of lens but, it wasn't time for an exam. The girl that took my order over the phone, told me she was going to charge my insurance for "half a visit". I said what....I didn't see anyone and you're going to charge my insurance company for half an eye exam. Needless to say I called my insurance company and had them refuse the charges. He always spends a much time as is needed, and is very interested in explaining all medical aspects with a level of detail that I wish my MD shared. Very disappointed in their service! The acting manager is very rude and unprofessional. I contacted them to ask for a one time prescription from the doctor since I had ripped my contact lense and was out of town. I needed the prescription to be able to purchase them at another site closer to where i was vacationing at. The manager was very rude telling me they couldn't provide me with one because they were very swamped. I explained that it was an emergency and needed my lenses to be able to drive and she said she couldn't help. I recently had PRK surgery, so I no longer need an optometrist... but Dr. Maher at Your Eye's Image is the best if you are looking. Dr. Maher is spent a lot of time with me at each appointment. I have Kaiser coverage for optical, but one of the nose pad screws fell out and got lost over the weekend. Your Eye's Image told me I could come in and they would fix it for me. They were able to fix it right when I walked in and did so free of charge. Even though I have lived in Morgan Hill all of my life, I had never been in their office. I needed an eye exam and needed new glasses. I made an appointment with this Optometrist/Store. I told the Doctor that I just saw Dr. Sastry in Morgan Hill and he did all the internal eye checks already. I was there to get exam and potentially buy eyeglasses. The eye exam was excellent. I had been to Costco before and this was a much better experience than with Costco optometrist. The female eye Doctor(can't remember her name) was excellent. If I would have gotten my prescription and walked out of the door right after the eye exam, I would have given them 5 stars. However I next started browsing the eyeglasses in the next room and found a pair I liked. I must have gone into a dream state or was sleep walking because the next thing I remembered , I was walking out the door after charging my credit card 729 dollars. I only purchased one pair of eyeglasses with not all options. After I got home I pondered and felt like I got ripped off. Does 500 dollars plus change sound like a fair price for a pair for an average pair of prescription eyeglasses? I don't think so but what was done was done. When my glasses were ready I came and picked them up. Moral of the story is think before you act. In my case I acted on impulse. I'm normally a very good shopper and rarely ever pay too much for something. read more

I love love love Dr. Maher. Been coming here since 2000. I bring my three kids here as well. He is so patient with them. Once he even helped my daughter with her homework! He's like the favorite Uncle. He gives vision recommendations and options. I never feel oversold. And we love Dr. shah. Now, truth be told, it's the office staff who may make or break the deal. Never had a better experience at any optometrist! They're very patient, answer tons of questions and never "push" glasses if you don't need them. (Ex.: my son, at another place, was given a prescription for glasses even though he has 20/20 vision because he mentioned he played computer games and they suggested these would keep his eyesight from being damaged.... I began to see Dr. Maher almost 20 years ago when I first moved to Morgan Hill in the hopes of getting relief from constant eye infections from my contact lenses, prescribed due to bad astigmatism since my teens.
