Maher almost 30 years, and I can truly say it feels as much a friendship, as him caring for my eyes.

I've been considering to get Lasik surgery for a few years now. My last consultation (2-3 years…read moreago) from my eye doctor mentioned I still have to wait until my vision is stable. Dec. 2025 - I had my annual eye check up from Bella x Specs Optometry and I asked for facility recommendations and suggested Furlong Vision Correction. I had a pamphlet, looked them up and scheduled my complimentary consultation on 1/6/2025. 1/6/2025 consultation day - Jennifer was assigned to me and she was very helpful! I felt at ease that they werr giving a lot of information about my options and if I'm a candidate for Lasik surgery. Dr. Michael Furlong also checked in on my consultation day. Good news: I'm a good candidate to proceed with Lasik. I asked for potential payment options so I can prepare with the surgery cost. I applied for CareCredit financing and got approved. I then scheduled my surgery appointment on 1/30/2025. There were multiple pre-operative measurements I took to make sure I'm all set. The whole process was easy! I got nervous a few days before my surgery. It wasn't a good idea that I checked videos about Lasik. Anyway, I checked in with Jennifer and expressed my concerns and she addressed it very kindly. Day of surgery (1/30/2025): I followed the instructions I have and made sure I had a good rest. I took the sedative pill they offered so I can be more calm during the process. The actual procedure was fast and easy, thank goodness! Every step -- the doctors where there and they were informing me of what's happening. Dr. Furlong was present and checked my eyes after the procedure. I think it took less than 15 minutes. My vision was very hazy at first and that day, he suggested to sleep/rest as much as I can. Next day (1/31/2025): My initial post-operative appointment. I did have a very irritating itchiness in my right eye that subsided the next day. Again, following as much as I can with the post op activities really helped! Now, it's been almost 2 months. My vision is almost 20/20 though my left eye has -0.50 grade. I've been wearing corrective eyeglasses for 15+ years. My last check up before my lasik surgery was OD: -5.00 DS, OS: -4.00 -1.25 x 180. A huge change and I have way better vision now! I'm maintaning the preservative-free eye drops. My experience and lasik surgery with Furlong Vision Correction is a success! Thank you so much Dr. Furlong for ensuring my lasik surgery went extremely well! :) Thanks to Jennifer, Maeghan and the rest of your team for making it possible!

Most accurate prescription, fitting and fabrication I've enjoyed in three decades. Great shop,…read morefriendly and helpful staff. Honest, too-- I learned from sore experience elsewhere that things like Crizal hard coatings are sometimes charged but not received, and you only find out the first time something tries to scratch the lens and succeeds. Not here; all the options were in place as-ordered. And they carry the highly desirable Silhouette frameless/hingeless frames! Accept no substitutes. Those things last forever and are light as a feather. This shop has them and knows how to work with them. Recommended!

DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING IN YOUR EYE OR AN EYE INJURY!!!!!…read moreVisit this business AT YOUR OWN RISK and read carefully what they do, they do not help you if you have an eye injury, although when you call them and tell them you have something in your eye and a possible eye injury, they will tell you that they can see you immediately, and that they will squeeze you in, this denotes that they can do something about it or they are experts at helping you with it or referring when necessary, they are NOT. This woman could have cost me my eyesight in one eye. I had my nails done at a nail salon the day before and because they were closing, they did not have me wash my hands after putting acrylic nails on, and when I got into my car I unfortunately touched my eyelid and I got the acrylic powder into my eye. It hurt immediately, and I rushed home and flushed it, but the next morning it was very swollen. The Ai recommended this business and said it was great for squeezing you in if you had an eye emergency, so I called and was told that they could squeeze me in in an hour, and I explained what had happened. When I arrived, it was located at the back of a nice building in a nice neighborhood, but surprisingly they had the front door locked, which was weird, usually that's in bad neighborhoods, which now looking back probably means, we don't want angry clients walking in and throwing a fit in front of our other clients. I sat down and explained to her that I had gotten acrylic powder in my eye, and that it was hurting on my upper lid and that I could feel it when I blinked. She gave me an exam and told me that she didn't see anything except for a slight eyelid infection that had started and prescribed antibiotic ointment. I questioned this and said are you sure that you examined all of the areas in the upper eyelid and she said yes it's just a slight eyelid infection, use the ointment and come and see me in a week. This didn't seem right because I was in a lot of pain and could feel that something was up in my eyelid, but she was older and seemed like she knew what she was doing so I went and got the ointment and used it for the whole day. The next morning I woke up and my eye was swollen to twice the size and I could not open it all the way, and my eyesight was blurry, and I looked like a monster. I immediately rushed to Stanford hospital, where smart people reside and they immediately said when you get acrylic powder in your eye, it needs to be irrigated out immediately or you could ulcerate on your eye and have a permanent problem. The doctor informed me that because the acrylic powder is translucent. It might not be visible and that there was no way to retract the lid far enough to be able to see it if it was in there and that normal irrigation would not work with something like this. They applied a suction cup to my eye, like a big rubber plastic contact and hooked me to iv with a liter of water and began irrigating my eye with that liter of water to irrigate it out. You can imagine how intense that experience was, but it was sure worth it for my eye not to be on fire and scratching every time I blinked or to lose my vision. They gave me eye drops that have an anabiotic in them to help with the infection and the swelling. I did not have to go through this Extreme drama if she would've just said you need to go to a hospital immediately because if you have acrylic powder up in your eye, it's going to need to be irrigated. There was not even an offer to flush my eye, she hurried through my examination, which was about 20 minutes and had another customer waiting, there was not even the suggestion to flush it out, and she did not offer the advice to go to a hospital. It was very much a vibe like ok we've seen you now get out of here and what is your insurance? It is a beautiful office and I'm sure that people that just need a pair of glasses do wonderful here, if you have a serious problem, you can get yourself into more serious problems by trusting them to help you with your injury or referral. I am a super positive person and the only reason I am writing this review is so that anyone who is injured does not waste their time here or possibly injure themselves worse by listening to bad advice. A tube of ointment could not solve my problem and no one even checked back with me the next day. She should just be selling eye wear and doing prescription glasses exams period. Immediately after the irrigation at the hospital I was out of pain and the swelling started going down. It's now been a day and my eye looks almost normal. This is a picture I took after heading to the hospital and being irrigated so that you can see the review is real, I should have taken one before the hospital, it was much worse but I was panicked and in too much pain, this is so you can see that this is a real review. (I had tattoo removal done a week prior so my brows look weird in the photo)
