You buy, and are left with the uncertainty of owning a vehicle that has only been safety checked, on top of dealing with shady salespeople. For this reason, I'm drawn to smaller dealerships. I browsed online for used 2007 Honda Accords with black interiors. I came across Rogomobiles, and there was my future vehicle. I read the reviews of the dealership, and I read that Phil didn't just sell vehicles, but he is also knowledgeable about vehicles. He actively works to service vehicles hands-on. I stopped by his shop to test drive, and I asked him several questions about the Honda Accord, and he not only told me what I wanted to hear. Phil made sure that I knew what I was getting myself into. I didn't know much about cars, but Phil assured me that the vehicle was fully serviced. He told me the positives and the negatives of the vehicle. I took the Honda Accord on a test drive, and Phil was on the passenger side giving me additional information while I was driving. Aside from some cosmetic imperfections, the vehicle was mechanically solid from what I was able to tell while driving. Phil is trustworthy because he is authentic. I purchased the vehicle without getting it looked over by a mechanic. I went into his office, which felt like home, with his wife on the computer, and his friendly dog roaming free. I got all the paperwork taken care of by Phil, and I got the car inspected by 2 different trusted car shops afterwards. Like Phil promised, the car is solid, with 190,000 miles, and it is still going! Phil went above and beyond, and kept in touch with me even after the purchase because I had some paperwork complications. I brought my car in because it was making a noise while driving. They had it in their possession for three full days and drove it enough to use up a half a tank of gas. I brought it in full and when I got it back, it was half empty. They said they couldn't find out what the problem was. I ended up taking it to the dealer, and the dealer said that the brakes were metal on metal at this point. I contacted parents and they admitted to me they didn't check the back brakes. I ended up having to get my rotors replaced as well. I don't know if the fact that they drove my car with bad brakes extensively damaged the rotors. my car only has 65,000 miles on it. I just don't think there was any excuse for them not figuring out it was the brakes within one day. Definitely shouldn't take three days and many many miles of driving it to try to "listen for the noise" themselves even though I played audios of what it sounded like for them..

Recently I took it in for an oil change, tire rotation and general service. I don't drive a lot because I work from home, so it was a day or so later that I noticed - when they removed the oil change sticker they had put on my windshield at the last visit, they completely fucked up the tint on my windshield. Then they just slapped another sticker over it, like nothing had happened lol! I called them immediately and they asked me to email them a photo, which I did later that evening. I got a reply back that they had received the photo and would get back to me in a day or two. A day or two passes and I heard nothing. So I reach back out and let them know I had not received a response. Then another few days pass, and I reach out again. So not only did they not PROACTIVELY admit their fuckup - which I get it, shit happens, but you have to be professional when it does and let your customer know what you fucked up and how you're going to fix it. And sometimes there's just a bad apple who doesn't represent your business well. So they put the onus on me to bring their fuckup to their attention, and now they are conveniently ignoring me. My last email to them was to let them know that I will be pursuing legal action in small claims court if I don't hear from them again in a few days. Because getting the entire tint job redone is going to set me back probably $5-600 with labor.
