He gave me solutions when other contractors told me to figure out an alternative (e.g. two previous contractors told me to buy a certain type of vanity based on the location of a pipe and John opened the wall and said, "Nope, I can move or reroute the pipe, there isn't any electrical or anything in the way that prevents it"). I have a handful of examples like that, and it made me realize that the others just wanted to do everything the easy way. He also found a potentially catastrophic problem under one of the showers that had previously been missed. On top of that, I really appreciated that he has an eye for little details - paint touch-ups, visual alignment, etc. Highly recommend.

We went with new pavers around the pool, a small turf area, new plants and some lighting. Meir was our project manager and was actually involved throughout the job. One thing I appreciated was when we weren't sure about the paver layout, he had the crew lay out a section first so we could see it before committing to the whole yard. Little things like that made the process a lot easier. Everything came together really nice and the backyard finally feels finished.

As a retired Project Director of capital projects for the power and process inductries and a retired P.E., I wrote up what I wanted to achieve for this project and got 4 quotes for the work. Geneva Builder's was by far the most complete quote. Brandon, the owner, was very professional, knowledgeable and quick to respond to my questions. As a matter of fact, he usually anticipated my questions a few days before I needed to ask them. The work went through without a hitch, on budget and ahead of the schedule I wanted. The quality of the work was very good, better than I expected - and I expected a lot. Overall, I feel I got more than I paid for. I'll summarize my Geneva Builder's experience by saying that if I'd had more subcontractor's with Geneva Builder's professionalism, quality of work and attention to detail, my old job as a project director would have been a lot easier. After my recent experience contracting with Geneva Builder, using them for my upcoming home improvement projects is a no-brainer. Why would I look anywhere else? One last point: While I always want to pay less, I feel that Brandon's price was fair and very competitive relative to the other quotes I received, and as mentioned above, I feel I got more than I paid for. Brandon: Thank You. Well done. I'll be in touch. Jim Mitchell,

We bought a wonderful brand-new home in Del Webb Rancho Mirage in 2018. While the builder offered many upgrades, when it came to the kitchen backsplash and owner's suite shower, we didn't see what we wanted. We knew we'd need to hire a contractor to do the kind of unique touches we wanted. They were final touch projects, after pool, yard, and a few other things. Then COVID happened and we didn't want anyone in the house. When things started to ease up, it was time to finish the house. We were first introduced to Armando as he was the subcontractor who was brought in for a glass company in Palm Desert who was "taking all comers" and then subbing out the work. The owner was a bit disingenuous, and we wound up working with Armando directly. The first project was the kitchen backsplash, which we wanted mirrored. Something different to add a little light and give the kitchen a more open feeling. We got EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED at a fair price. West Coast Glass Window and Door is not the "cheapest" option. But far from the most expensive, and the cheapest option is almost always a disappointment. A few months later we remodeled the owner's suite shower. The glass guy that contractor had lined up jumped ship at the last second for a larger, more profitable job. He wouldn't be available for weeks. We contacted Armando and he was onside within 4 business days (lightning speed in contractor time). The glass was installed about 3 weeks after initial contract regarding the project. The downside of frameless glass enclosures is that they're not inherently "water-tight." We knew this going in. Especially if one of the door seams is right next to the shower head, as is the case with our shower. Armando came back a few times at no additional charge to do a couple of tweaks, and we're VERY HAPPY with the result. If there's ANY leakage at all, and there usually isn't, it only takes a 5 second swipe of the floor with a towel. The house is finished. But if we had another glass project, we'd call Armando.

I sent a written request for a quote through Yelp to several general contractors for a lot of work we will be doing on a new home in PS. His assistant proactively called me and connected me to Mike on the phone, so I did not have to reach out myself. Most other companies wrote back, "Yeah, I can do the work. Call me." eh. Nothing really wrong with that, but if I wanted to call, I would have and if you want the business...make it happen. I respect that they reached out to me, making it easier on me. What I appreciated from today's call is: *his VERY down to earth demeanor; I could see getting along with Mike very easily. *Mike took close to thirty minutes of his time to talk me through his style, and giving me specific ideas he would suggest for the remodel just based off the pictures from the property listing I sent. Awesome and appreciated. This gives me a chance to see how his mind works and if we would be a good match for such a large job. This got his foot in the door and made me decide to get a rough quote from him, which I am only doing with three total companies. *He stressed two things that he specifically addresses which are a notorious problem in this industry - (1) he is value conscious, suggesting alternatives to what you want to do so YOU can choose what you want to spend and where you may want to save....AND (2) he stays to the budget you give him probably more than his customers do. These are invaluable things to consider as he is promising to be done when says he will and on budget. HUGE. His work has been on TV shows and has many jobs being done simultaneously - all due to word of mouth, no real advertising. Other thing to note is he doesn't do pools, but will refer you to a few people that are good that he has worked with before. I am getting three total quotes, including from Mike, and ...so far, I am impressed.
